What a great idea for using leftovers from holiday meals. One could put all manner of sweet potatoes, dressing (our version of stuffing, usually baked in a square pan), veggies and the like into it. Thanks for the great idea.
That looks amazing, almost worth creating leftovers for! In New Zealand, Greggs is a company that makes instant coffee, and spices, and instant puddings! Thank you.
We've just had similar using filo pastry with ham, turkey and cranberry.. My daughter reckons that's what she likes about Christmas ....Boxing day! I have one of the single Cosories.. brilliant,
Hi, Cheryl. This looks fantastic... thank you so very much for the recipe. A Festive Bake is not just for Christmas. It should be enjoyed all year round! 😊xx
Happy Holidays from Texas! We're now huge fans of Greg's Bakes (a la Cheryl) and I dust the top of mine with Summer Savoury which adds its lovely flavor as well as scenting the house.
Love Greggs festive bake but yours looks just as good, or even rather better i think! Plus it won't be at Greggs for much longer and yours is all year round. Now, next could you emulate Costa Black Forest hot chocolate as that will be disappearing soon too!
Hi Cheryl, hope you had a lovely Christmas & are enjoying a nice peaceful Boxing Day. ✨🎄🎁✨ Your Festive Savoury Bake looks utterly delicious, bet the family loved it 😋, would love to treat myself to that new Casori model, as it looks fantastic for cooking bigger items, but unfortunately I just don’t have the worktop space or storage room to accommodate such a large appliance. Also as it’s just me home alone, I really don’t need such a large model as it would only be used on high days & holidays if I’m really honest. However I’d imagine it would be a great asset to have for families. Might try making the individual sized version of this, & freezing what I don’t eat. 😋👌 As always thank you 🙏 for sharing, hope that you & the family are enjoying a wonderful Festive break. Take care xx 🥰💫✨🤶🏻👩🏻🍳👌✨💫💖
Wow Cheryl..sitting here about to eat the dregs of the cranberry sauce! Now i know what to use it with...tomorrow 's tea sorted and will use up the milk! Happy Christmas to you and yours! Thanks for all the braw wee recipes especially when im tired and ideas don't easily come to me! All the best for 2025 Slainte Mhor! 🥂 xx
I love Greggs steak bakes and have often thought of making my own. The problem is I like them freshly cooked and the sheets of puff pastry are so large. Do you have any ideas for cutting down the packets of pastry into individual sizes without throwing away loads
I'm glad you asked that, Caroline, I'm in the same boat. And sitting here, looking at a little under a half kilo of eye of round and a new air fryer. .....😋
@@WhatsForTea the trouble is I usually only have enough filling for one steak bake (or similar). So I'd have to defrost the pastry, cut out what I need, and then what - refreeze the pastry?
Hi Cheryl I would to try it once I feel better ❤️🩹 I have a cold or flu not sure what Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 🎆 to your Family sweet Friend Cathy from America 🇺🇸 🙏🏻✝️☮️💐🌲🎄🥰🥰🫂🫂♥️💙

Do I see the reuse of the gu jars. I had my husband design me kids for those jars that he then 3D printed out for me so I can reuse those perfect size jars.
I take it that auto-correct had a hand in your wee typo Beanie … 3D printed out kids is taking AI 🤖 to a new spooky level! 😳👶🏻👧🧒🏻👀😱… 😉🤭😆😂 PS - I’ve seen bamboo lids made to fit them for sale on either Folksy or Etsy, can’t quite remember which one it was.
I thought GREAT, then you pulled out appliances I don't have space for and can't afford. My kitchen is roughly 3 steps, depending on the person. I do NOT have a usable counter space, that was taken up by the microwave and dish drainer. There was no other side... My stove top has become home to many of my favorite cooking pans
I was the same way in my last apartment. Now I've a house with dining space, so an open floor plan, but the same skimpy cabinets and only a broom closet!
Air fryer is not something I want or have space for. Don’t want instructions to use it. A turkey leftovers pie in the oven, would be the closest thing I would do with this.
You can still make these and oven bake. No need to be rude Cheryl told you she was going to use the air fryer, you didn’t have to watch, those of us who want to use an air fryer do need the instructions.
I don’t have an air fryer either, but I don’t mind listening to Cheryl give instructions on how to bake a pie in it. I can figure out for myself how to bake this lovely pie, either in my toaster oven, or my main gas stove .

Definitely be giving this a go, but it'll have to be in my normal oven. Your air fryer looks amazing, it'll be so useful!😮
