Rustproofing is excellent on these cars and I've had one for four years, now has 130000 miles on it and still drives very well. Mantainance is a nightmare on these though unfortunatly!
@@FourTwenty-y4o I have a 2004 pre face lift car with the 1.6 k4m engine, and to change the oil filter the front bumper and couple of other things need removing. Same goes every time you need to change a light bulb in the headlight! Its a royal pain in the bum. Other things you have to be awere of on this engine are warping/cracking thermostat housings which can cause your coolant to leak into your oil and vice versa. I changed my head gasket thinking it was the cause of my coolant loss, when in fact it was just the stupid plastic thermostat housing. Very frustrating! Replacing the timing belt is also quite an endevour since its very tight and lots of things need removing for access. Other than that, its a practical, fun car with robust and long lasting body work.
godlike of a car.... perhaps the best in automotive history!
I’m just selling my 2004 Modus which I’ve had for two years. It has been extremely reliable and fun to drive.
