Tornadic Thunderstorm In Indiana August 4, 2012

- FULL CHASE VIDEO!! I'll start off by saying I ahd no radar this day but I was able to catch the storm at its peaks and filed a funnel cloud/possible tornado while I was in La Porte county. Once the storm passed me it was hard to catch back up with without radar so it was kinda short chase for me be it was awesome
There was a tornado reported right where I was at in La Porte so what I did captured was or was gonna be that torndao that was reported. It was the only tornado or tornadic activity that was reported so far.
This storm packed alot of CG lightning, high winds, rotation and lots of rain.
The tornado touched down in Rolling Prarie, which is northeast of the city of La Porte. La Porte county did have a warning issued; the sirens sounded in La Porte, but the storm was past La porte by that time and well on it's way into St. Joseph county. The La Porte Herald argus had a front page pictorial of the damage path on Wednesday August 8th. It did some damage to a residence; luckily there were no injuries. You can probably still view the pics on the Herald Argus website.
Great storm, I do believe that could have possibly have been a funnel! And at 5:34 was that a wall cloud? Great footage keep up the chasing!
Thanxz:) Yeah it was forsure a funnel, the same one that devloped into the tornado that hit Rolling Prairie in La Porte County right where I was. It hit a house just south east from where I filmed the funnel/ possible tornado. Yeah I'm pretty sure that was a wall cloud (the backside of it) it was hard to see out there.
was Laporte County even Tornado Warned? I know Berrien Mi and St Joe IN was...thanks for sharing!
Yeah I was just west of there when I captured the same funnel cloud/possible tornado that ended up touching down in Rolling Prarie. I was stuck on the toll road or I would folIowed it. I saw the pictures of the damage to a houses garage on facebook. People were lucky, could of been much worse. I will check out that news paper to, thanks.

Frame 3:10 looks like the face of a little girl. There was some great wind shear goin on, that's for sure ! Good footage, fun chase !!!

It is the best and it's pretty cheap for the little bottle and that is all you will need :)
