I got a bunch of these some time ago and they are SOOOOOO good. Its quite surprising how much you get into the various modules. I'm looking at getting some of their wall hanging paint racks next as the desktop modules are limited in the number they can hold. Anyway, nice work Zak. Good to see these units being introduced to the wider modelling community as I feel alot of people just don't know about them.
Sup Zak, been using these for a while, great! Very practical accessible and easy to keep everything organized. And they make my office look awesome. You will certainly enjoy these modules. Tx for the video bro, Shalom!
Wow these are so nice! I love the one with the display glass. Could be a nice display case for smaller models like you said. Possibly taking the middle shelf out, you could turn it on it’s side if it’s possible and have space for a smaller MG kit as well. A little customization inside of the box and add some lighting and it could be a legit display case
looks professional alright. me,buy a new kit, leftover runners get turned into makeshift alligator clamps, boxes get cuts up into mini shelves for storage
I bought the entire setup a year ago maybe longer, it has never let me down, it was a joy to put together, ive added things to it over the years from HZ... absolutely amazing bit of kit... my setup is actually featured on there website. FANTASTIC!
Ironically? This vid appeared in my queue as I was building mine. Protip: ;use a gundam marker to mark the magnets on one side b4 starting. I concur on the rubber mallet.
I wonder if your wife might want some of the modules for the nail stuff... You probably know this already, but you can use a cheap candle stick to rub on the sides of the drawers to make them less grabby, maybe test on one first to see if you like it? Great new setup, looking forward to the final outcome. Those drawers with the internal segments look like they might be the right size to keep watches as well
I bought a bunch of these a little while ago and just started putting them together but it looks like the ones you have are ready to go the ones I have I have to separate them trim the tabs that kept them together and had to sand them also it was a lot of work just cutting them apart not sure why the ones I bought were like that
Great bench hope it works for you. Tbh, just too costly. If you look at one piece it's gunna look very odd, so it would need plenty to look and work okay. Thanks for the video and happy crafting all.
Get the vertical brush module as storing brushes on their sides is never a good idea unless they just dollar store cheapos you will replace every few weeks. This system is really nice and the prices aren't too bad, the shipping is crazy though hehe. Great review!
Getting extremely frustrated with Hobby Zone. In trying to order direct from Poland, it's a crap shoot as to which item is available at any given time vs the same item being unavailable the next time I go to their site. They won't take orders below a certain dollar amount so you are unable to buy a few things and go back later to get the other desired items. I tried going to a couple U S locations and they either are "sold out" (usagundamstore) or they don't carry the entire line that the location in Poland has. Am I missing something here? Is there a site that has most, if not all, the items in stock? Is there a location that does a preorder and then fills it when they have the items to do so? I have been unable to locate any other companies that offer similar products so I keep searching Hobby Zone (Poland) and keep coming up with the same probelm, "unavailable". I really would like to get a nice work station set up with these products but if you can't obtain them how are you supposed to get this type of system and set it up? Any thoughts or ideas?
It could just be that the company isn’t producing much product currently, for one reason or another- probably related to the pandemic. So that would explain why every site is sold out
Is it possible to put that module with the plexiglass standing up instead of laying down? And remove the middle shelf? Would be perfect with one laying down and one with removed middle shelf for taller models like an hg or mg just getting a clearcoat or something
There is a taller display module, same footprint as Zak's but twice the height so can hold MG kits (and the leg of the PG Strike I'm building. Check out their site, theres quite a lot of neat layouts and modules to choose from.
As a fan of BlackMagicCraft, I have to ask... does it come in black? - And given what happened to Sword and Shield over their Vallejo Colorshift review, you may want to be aware that there is another Hobbyzone, hobbyzone.com that sells RC planes and vehicles and such. In case you want to protect yourself pre-emptively.
ZakuAurelius I’m just surprised that you responded some of my favorite building channels don’t even respond to me I think it’s cool when a channel listens to comments and feed back
I was looking at spru racks, so I came across the OM13. What do you think about that? I haven't seen a lot of spru racks in The Netherlands, so I'll probably have to order something online/at the store. What would be your advice?
There's a bigger WIP case . I wonder if that would fit most MG or 1/100 kits www.hobbyzone.pl/en/modular-workshop-system/54-0m10-big-showcase-wip-module.html
@@ZakuAurelius thanks man. Im gonna start building again. I just needed somthing like this i was gonna make my own but these have magnets and i can get the whole set up lol. Thanks so much man.
who else looked at these prices and said " yeah no thanks " ? these are made from cheap thin wood, and very small, and the cheapest thing is a 2piece drawer that cost 44$ that is ridiculous considering you can get this same stuff from walmart that is same if not better materials and quality for 15$, this company will not make it long selling this crap at these extreme prices. this set up he is showing cost well over 800$
Good GOD they want how much per module!? to get the work space I want HobbyZone would want close to three grand! for what looks like laser cut panels? id rather buy the laser!
Three grand?? How many modules are you needing? Wonder if you're looking at the Polish Zloty prices as the corner drawer module, pretty much their most expensive, is US$32.57
Also, definitely not laser cut. Those are CNC routed on most of the edges and features. Laser cutting doesn't do multiple depths, or clean light brown edges well at all.
ABSOLUTELY PRE-TREATED SHIT AND IN ADDITION, ALMOST CAN NOT FIT INTO IT. I'd rather leave it to myself and be satisfied. I WOULD NOT GIVE A DOLLAR FOR THIS OR IT.
Someone knows what the hell is happening with this company? No answer in almost 4 days on any channel I try to reach them, all the products are slowly running out of stock etc....

You'd love the taller display case module then. Pretty much the same as Zak's only twice the height so an MG fits in nicely.
Models by Wil oh man! I’ll have to check those then, thanks!
I bought the Artystation brand. Super happy with it.

This looks amazing !!! I would love this exact setup!!
For U.K. watchers this range is available from Hattons rog flair-rail

Awesome!
I checked HZ online, I can't find these units on the site.. Can't even find prices..
Looks like a mini kitchen
Where he cooks up some tasty tasty plamo
Thin styrene sheet strips on the bottom of the drawers should make them slide easier.
I have a similar setup, very handy, tidy and well designed
Thank you for the video. This is exactly what I needed.

Nice tip!
I have a couple of these modules and they're great. I am going to invest in some more soon.
I def want to trick out my desk with this!
This is a great product! Im definently going to check it out.
Holy shit. Website was in ZL, I nearly spat out my tea.
If you're worried about it sticking, you can always rub some pastewax on the side/bottom of box.

the plexiglass case is very useful for brush painting with miniatures because of how bad paint splatter or spray can be with certain thin paints
def more wip videos
what does it cost and shipped to Australia please
I actually got a phone call from FedEx customs when I ordered a similar set of modules. The guy was baffled.
Why would they be baffled tho?
Beats me. Not everyone appreciates tiny shelving, I guess.
How much does this set up cost?
Does anyone know if there are any other companies that make similars products to this for people in the hobby?

Would wooden dowels work also if you're not planning on changing the set-up? Then the magnets could be used for other things...
Sure! Or just don’t plug them at all

I preferred these because they seemed more space-conscious. Many of the artystation ones use more desk space
