      I wrote a song about him and a video is on RUclips, check it out :-). It's called "Free (The ballad Of John Dillinger)". I wasn't aware there was another song with the same name, but it's meant to be when you write a folk song about him, ah! ah!

      Considering his extensive record of criminality, he killed remarkably few people, but he was a cold-blooded killer. The colorful and decorative aspects of Bonnie and Clyde's rendition in their movie were mostly re-appropriated from actual exploits of Dillinger.

    The lyrics say John Dillinger was killed in '33. He was killed in 1934. About two months after Bonnie and Clyde. Check it out.
