    And all we have in the UK is small tackle shops that sell virtually no lure stuff mostly match and lazy man carp fishing. and also angling direct where half the stuff is out of stock.
    Hooray for the internet.
    Absolutely cracking video.
    I would spend all my money in shops like this.

    Love a bit of jdm gear . Duo are good lures , I use tide minnows for bass and ryuki spearheads for trout . The duo tetra works toto 42 is one of my favourites for trout aswell . Even my lure boxes are duo tetra works . There are some lesser known shops over here with jdm gear , you can’t get everything from one place but if you know where to look you’d be surprised what you can get . 99% of my bass and trout/perch hard lures are jdm along with my lure boxes , bags , bfs reels and some of my bfs rods and all bar the odd bit from lure candy are from over here

    • @japanesefishingadventures
      @japanesefishingadventures  Год назад

      JDM is the one and love the Ryuki stuff - should definitely get on the tide minnows though!! The variety is insane isn’t it and feel as though the engineering into the gear is a step above as well! Including tackle boxes just designed with the user in mind rather than the profit as a general rule! Thank you for your insight on Duo as well be sure to give them a go!! And a purchase 🤣

    • @leen8939
      @leen8939 Год назад

      @@japanesefishingadventures the ryuki spearheads are very popular for trout over here and the bass lads like duo aswell . Ima hound glide and sasuke and longin franky and high standard are my favourite bass lures . Compared to angling direct and most normal shops with fox/salmo/savage gear , you’d think they are the only manufacturers over here but once you have your head turned by jdm and see the sheer variety of gear and also brands it is mind blowing what’s available and fortunately there are a few people and shops over here that realise there’s a market for it and import it but being smaller shops they can’t always keep up with demand . The build quality is brilliant and it’s hard to explain to someone who hasn’t seen and handled it what the difference is . Even with the lures there’s a difference . Rapala or salmo look and feel a bit basic next to the jdm lures , doesn’t mean they won’t catch because we know they do , they’re just not the same . Another good thing is the tuning parts for reels over there . The reels are usually good anyway but the amount of things you can get to either improve the performance even further or even just cosmetically is unbelievable .

    Out of everything you have ever said you are bang on the Uk tackle shops really need to up their game . I spend a fortune on lures rods and reels from Japan because I can’t get them in the Uk . If they got rid of all the duplicated crap tackle the shops could cater for us all instead of the carp anglers

    I wish fishing, especially lure fishing was as popular in the UK as it is in places like the USA and Japan. Carp fishing seems to be more popular here in the UK than say lure fishing. We have fly fisheries and Coarse fisheries, but neither usually allow lure fishing, certainly not in my region

    • @Daveeeeeeyhowyoudoing
      @Daveeeeeeyhowyoudoing Год назад +3

      Fyi a Japan lure cost like $2-7 USD. But in the USA they cost $8-20.
      I hate how the trading war has made so many tariffs on such quality product, making it hard for average consumers to buy the "brand name" unless you have a well paying job

    • @Daveeeeeeyhowyoudoing
      @Daveeeeeeyhowyoudoing Год назад +2

      I have probably gone swimming in 15⁰c water about 20-30 times to save myself $10-20 on a single snagged lure.....
      I probably wouldn't if they costed me $5😂

    • @japanesefishingadventures
      @japanesefishingadventures  Год назад +2

      Thanks for watching Peter and Davey!! The scene is nowhere near at the level it should be and suppose Carp fishing is the main market, but surely lure fishing has the potential to be the most profitable market?!? Who knows!!
      Ps Davey I spend my life doing anything to not lose lures so I totally agree with your sentiments there! In addition the top brands have monopolised fishing and it’s pretty sad, they almost dictate everything that happens and it ain’t right in my opinion!
