I like to think that at the end of the universe, someone will sit down and listen to all the greetings from every lifeform that ever said "Hello", like a song created from the briefest flash of life that existed during everything.
I think it has to do with the fact that so many people from so many different cultures came together to make these recordings, so we can send the recordings to space in hopes that something more advanced than us will find it, and confirm that we are not alone. To add onto this, there's a sense of vulnerability to this. Not only are so many people basically calling out into the infinite darkness of our Galaxy, but there's always the undertone of we may all be gone by the time this reaches anything at all.
Lmao yeah. Ironically the man in the Turkish recording isn't Turkish. I do know the backstory to that specific line as well: It's actually a quote from Turkish poet Behçet Kemal Çağlar who would say this exact sentence ("Türkçe konuşan arkadaşlarımız, sabah şerifleriniz hayrolsun") to his foreign co-workers at Robert College (a prestigious high school in Istanbul) where he was a teacher. The voice belongs to Professor Peter Kuniholm, who was one of his co-workers and being a lover of Turkish land and culture (apparently) decided to add this to the Golden Record.

04:01 Telugu! It's so heartwarming listening to all the positive greeting from all around thee world, it makes us feel like yeah this is our home and we are all the same people.☺️🥰
Listening to this makes one so emotional, a sense of unity and one goal, but in reality we remain a very devided earth, all this in an attempt to let other intelligent life know of our existence, like a toddler afraid they might be alone in this world, trying to send a message to an unknown helping hand😪😪😪😪, the saddest part is these messages will continue to live long after humanity has vanished,

Swahili is missing too. It all boiled down on who could get to the various studios to record. That is the reason some are not on there.

Or we are just some idiots think there are different living creatures.

So, cold-war era Americans _could_ distinguish between Russia and Ukraine.
