I modified the pattern using a magic ring. Make a magic ring, Chain 2, DC, Chain 2 again, then (DC 2, Chain 2) repeat. for me it is more simple than using a slip knot. Thankyou for the beautiful pattern ❤ 
I don't see well enough to work the fine threads but used a standard #4 weight yarn and I love the outcome! Was looking for bookmarks for some special lady friends who I used to have lunch with in February all having birthdays between the 19th and 22nd, this before we all retired or got busy with other than our jobs. This bookmark is perfect! Thanks for a beautiful, eye-catching bookmark and easy to follow pattern!
