I have seen this song Live in my home country Estonia in 2022, although it was without Marko (Marko left the band, but now we have a new Bass Player Jukka "Gentle Giant" Koskinen), but Troy (Plays Electric Bouzouki in this) really steps up and harmonizes with Floor like never before. Still, in this day, getting goosebumps, even if I write in here. And that Emppu solo... He just teases you with that (just look at that grin he is making). The title is taken from a King's novel called “Wolves of the Calla”. But the conception of the book has nothing to do with the text behind the song, it is far more inspired by the film "Dead Poets' Society". The main idea is - one must live his life the best he can, to strive for his aims, because the wolves are always 7 days behind you and they will catch you if your life is not of full value... and then you will be only dead meat. Tarja also fit perfectly together with Mark, both singers are equally great and at the same time each completely different. Tarja's voice is more operatic, while Floor's is absolutely flawlessly versatile.
Oh there's definitely NW songs I don't like. Some of their early stuff is very, very operatic which I don't really enjoy that much. Their last album though, is a complet joy to just put on and listen to... Happy to follow along on your NW journey 👏 Keep it up

The studio version of "the carpenter". Lets say singing is just not Tuomas strongest skill. They still play that song on stage. It sounds way, WAY better with Troy. But back in time Tuomas was the best male voice they had (before Marko, before Troy) Do the Buenos Aires 2018 (Decades DVD) first and make the studio version 1997 studio version a gimmick at the at end ...to show progression.
