I'll sort of agree. I can tell them apart easily enough for three reasons. Reason 1: I've always been a big fan of Adrian's solos, so much in fact that he's one of my top 5 guitarists. 2: I've always liked Dave's solo, just not nearly as much as Adrian's. 3: Never been a fan of Janick.
That’s one of the coolest things about iron maiden is all three Guitar players have their own unique sound and style. They’ve been my favorite band for 40+ years now!
This really was a challenge especially in comparison to the previous rounds! I’m kinda glad to see that I’m not the only one who struggled with this one 😂
I thought I was a fan of 35 years, but 3 minutes in and I realize I don't know Iron Maiden, my favorite band of all time. (Update: Okay, so I got a bunch. Not as many as these guys, but at least 5 or 6!)
I really didn't know the stuff past A Matter of Life and Death, but I can hear the playing styles/licks and immediately recognize the player, even if I am unfamiliar with the songs. Dave is Mr. Neck pickup legato and big bends, Adrian is blues licks with some complicated scale runs and heavy vibrato, Janick is garbled speedy flash Also, I think for the drums, you'll probably discover that most songs are unrecognizable when removed from the rhythm unless they are REALLY unique. Also, truly drumless tracks aren't too easy to come by. You might be better off focusing on some sort of distinctive fill?
The Hallowed from flight 666 guess was bonkers. Great ear. Got some right before you guys though. Keep those competitions coming, its fun! Up the Irons!
Very fun video! I got 7 songs right, but I don't know who plays most of the solos (I'm still learning to recognise each style) but I knew Adrian was the one on Stranger in a Strange Land. The difficulty is to recognise the song in the limited amount of time. The isolated drum track could be fun too but I think a 3 second clip would be too short to find the song.
Guessed all of them (the standard round not the live bonus tracks) except Quest for fire and Judas be my guide. I guessed the Piece of mind album but didnt remind the song, Quest for fire is probably one of my least heard songs from Maiden. And overall Fear of the dark is an album I dont really listen to often because for me its kinda meh, average/good album but nothing more. I guessed the album again tho
The problem for me is most of Maiden's solos are not constructed as "songs within the song" like, say, Slash's solos in Guns And Roses or Angus Young's in ACDC. Maiden solos consist of a LOT of "widdley widdley weeeeee" and they dont stand out as much when isolated. They serve the songs perfectly, but you cant sing those solos like Jimmy Page's or Dave Gilmore.
The distinction between Janick, Adrian and Dave is what makes them work...

@anthonyhansel9175 Yep, Adrian Smith and Jake E Lee are my two favorites...

Guess the isolated drum part would be a cool idea! Especially in honour of Nicko
I think your next video should be Dave's songs tier list

What I learned from this is that I'm not familiar with Iron Maiden's later stuff.
At 61 me neither
Same
Guess you have to teach me the secret handshake.
With the teasing of Logan, I half expected a suggestion for "guess the bassist" next. Good to see that they're not quite that cruel.
Another fun video! I was definitely more Logan.

Don't want to get my age away but I've been a fan for 47 years
I expected a Scottish accent when I saw that buzzer.
I keep thinking the same thing.
As a drummer, the only one I got is Ghost of Navigator and the only reason I did is because the drums on that song are quite recognizable

Love you guys. Wish I could like twice for Logan's use of the fivers
The only solo i didn't recognise in 2 sec or less is Lord Of The Flies... I don't know if it's a good sign or not lmao
Great vids !

Ooooo. Those were tough.
But the Saltire buzzer was the real winner here 🤘🏻
Logan had the best Maiden Tee shirt though 😊
My favorite Hallowed live Dave solo
Awesome video. I did pretty well. Got stumped by 22 acacia Avenue though. Also a guitarist
The microphone is clipping. It’s sounding all cracked
Good call. Appreciate the feedback. Sometimes feel I am too loud in general. 🤘
Super 🎉

Will we get a vid of the dude on the right playing Maiden songs on the guitar ?
Guessed all the songs but messed up on solo players on 4

I got no points, Logan is fine.. 😅
You need to get your hand nearer the buzzer to actually get it bro
I seemed to be better with the 80s songs even though i probably listen to post 2000 more!!!
I actually beat both of you 😇
