When this song came out i was just a teenage kid who was in love with American Hip Hop. What it meant to me then was just what it means to like the sound of a song and catch its meaning despite cultural differences. Today I'm listening to it in my apartment in a foreign land on his stupidly expensive 'computer'. In the last few years of my twenties. Mature and different and more determined to live out my destiny. I'm a lot more aware of the world and its people. And what this song means to me is completely different. Such a beautiful song.
