    YES, I travel between SF and LA for work frequently (literally next week as I'm commenting), all current modes between the regions are ASS. I'd love to take BART to Millbrae and then transfer to CAHSR to get to LA. DO IT

    Too many people are making money through routing design (a continuous non-stop process paid to engineering teams), settling lawsuits over right-of-way/potential noise/underpasses/overpasses, political favoritism (deliberate obfuscation, repeated public hearings, duplicated studies), and construction techniques that are not current (look at how the Mainland Chinese build high speed rail lines.).

      I mean chinese high speed rail didn’t go into city centres which made it far cheaper
