thats a good one but i liked more in that episode with 3 owners and that one dad with "40 years of experience" where when gordon didnt like the food they said "its just one mans opinion" and the chef cook said "its a successful opinion"
For anyone wondering: the restaurant closed a year after Gordon’s visit. The mother started working as a real estate agent in the area again. The daughter continued to work at places like red lobster. Trevor went to rehab and got clean. He then went on to culinary school and is now working as a sous chef. I’m happy he made his way and got out of that place
Also I too am a recovering addict bin clean 2 years and I can say Trevor should be screaming from the mountains how proud he is, the hardest thing anyone can do and it's a 24/7 effort there are no breaks for that job or days off... Good for him..
Haha at first I thought he was talking about his food and I was thinking of course its good its Gordon then I thought damn you idiot he is mimic the owner lol
I don't blame Trevor for checking out...drug problem aside, he's doing a high pressure job with NO TRAINING, the owner's "I'm so scared of you" daughter constantly in his face trying to rile him up, and the owner constantly using him as a scapegoat...I hope he's doing better now and is in a healthier place.
The "I'm so scared of you" daughter in his face is such a good point. I hate when I hear women who clearly know someone is abusive, continue to engage and egg him on and act surprised and the victim if the guy actually does it. Play stupid games win stupid prizes. Really it's Julie's fault cause if she wants to complain and constantly VERBALLY abuse Trevor, then she should fire him. She's not doing anyone any favours keeping him including himself. Making her daughter have to keep being around the person who supposedly almost punched her, so she can be resentful and tell him nobody likes him and nobody cares about him on a daily basis. It's a miracle he still has a backbone against Julie at least.
Chris was the MVP of this episode. Easily the most likely person in the episode for me. He spoke the truth and at times genuinely seemed more passionate about the place than the actual owner
Don't forget Kevin, Andrea and Mike (not Chef Mike). Pretty much everyone else besides the mother and daughter duo are sane person on that restaurant. Even Trevor is actually self aware and brutally honest that he is not a good chef and even rate the food 5 / 10.
for those wonderingr: as of 2022 the last update is that trevor moved out of that town and went into rehab for 6 months and has been sober since :) don stayed on in mangia mangia for a while but eventually left; julie ended up hiring a new head chef as well as new service staff. after gordon's departure, the menu went through quite a few menu changes. some customers said that julie remained a problem, and continued to mistreat staff members. mangia mangia eventually shut down in 2014.
@@pancakepop680 you can kinda tell trevor is more broken. He dated the daughter who is toxic as hell and just snapped. Im not saying him doing all the bad stuff he does is excusable like throwing shit around, lashing out at people and punching the girl but he is in such a toxic environement with the owner and her daughter he has kinda lost it.
My heart broke when Trevor got told "nobody likes you", like, anyone could get addicted to drugs in that environment: Doesn't make it right that he got violent though.
When she was confused about the 550 grams of flour at first I thought she was confused on what flour is, then I remembered that this is in the US, and that they don't use the metric system.
@@guruprasath8548 That's almost impossible. Though they have the imperial system they do come across metric usage regularly. She's just rude and obtuse.
same. Trevor is a guy who cares but no one cares about him. i really feel sorry for him. hes always talked down and his ego keeps him up, making him an ass. he probably never had anyone who cared for him. people turn to drugs to run from reality... some do it for the high but i personally feel like he is doing it to hide what he is feeling. the toxic work place isn't making it better for him. being told "no one cares about you" would make me punch anyone even sober. imagine being told that daily... but you need the money to stay afloat make people work even when they hate it. hope he gets the help and find better people
The owner and daughter are despicable, no idea what they’re doing, yelling and creating a toxic environment. I don’t want to wish people to fail, but they don’t deserve to run a restaurant
I get that the owner is 100% in the wrong, but what has the daughter really done wrong? Yes, she does get into arguments but it's natural to come to your parent's defence. She's also been forced to work alongside a guy who's punched her before. Yes, her attitude isn't the best and she's clearly displaying the toxic behaviour and speech pattern of her mother, but having to deal with that sort of emotional trauma doesn't help either. That's not to say that Trevor isn't also a victim of their constant verbal and psychological abuse that seems to exercebate his mental health and substance abuse as well.
@@sandy_skaiz697 She used to date Trevor and after they broke up their started being problems. He didn't even deny what he did, but he did that after months and months of her constant abuse, calling him worthless, telling him no one cares about him, etc. Not to say you can deserve to be hit for shit you say. But clearly it was bad enough that no one tried to intervene with whatever she goaded him with. And if her gender was reversed we'd be saying how only throwing one punch after years of that kind of abuse is an accomplishment.
For sympathy. Pathetic woman. Im not this bad but I am happy they closed down. They didnt deserve to have and manage a restaurant. Narcissistic owners!
I have so much admiration for Gordon for saying: “he cannot be a person of responsibility” and “keep ur doors open” for that young guy. He may not be a person who can have a responsibility but I think if work wasn’t toxic he I think can work, and hope he is clean and thriving and achieving his dreams!
I love that his experience with addicts has instead of making him resentful, makes him so empathetic. I remember when he did a prison program and ended up hiring one of the prisoners when he got out, who was an ex-addict. When he heard a rumour he was using again, he went himself to see if it was true (it wasn't).
When I was younger, I always thought that Trevor was the problem for the restaurant. Coming back and seeing how the owner and her daughter constantly berates and talks down to him, its no wonder he's like this. The owners are clearly the problem, being super delusional, having shit leadership attitudes, trying to micromanage everything and giving shit tools/ingredients to work with in the beginning. Like come on, even me, who isn't on meth would get mad and flip out on them in a heartbeat.
When i first watched this i worked in retail now ive worked in a kitchen, Trevor is 100% a symptom. He had a clear anger issue and due to his inexperience and food the owner bought being pretty much frozen he had no control. He found solace in drugs. Im glad he's doing well, i have an uncle who is an ex meth user and i distinctly remember him saying that meth just made you feel euphoria, something Trevor wouldve been searching for due to the toxic workplace. Im glad gordon ramsay talked to him and ensured he got help
To be honest think it is a cycle. Trevor broke up and manhandled the daughter so they teamed up against him. He then developed even more and more attitude. So they got more and more arsey with him. They should have fired him the second he lost it with the daughter. If you can't act professional at work you need to go. But aside from Trevor clearly Julie can't manage
@@gmarz9611 I agree and disagree with you. The timeline is something like a year before they broke up, from how they act IMO that is when the abuse started towards Trevor. After about six months of that he got handsy with the daughter (but keep in mind that Trevor didn't end up in the hospital and did this in front of other men, so she must have said something VILE for them to not kick the shit out of his skinny ass) But with how quickly the daughter goes to personal attacks it seems to me that when they broke up she likely started being a bitch to him and her mom never chastises her for her unprofessional behavior. Like earlier in the episode when he says he has a hard time coming to work when he gets told he's worthless and no one cares about him and then she chirps in "it's true, you are worthless, no one likes you, no one would care if you got fired." That's unacceptable in a professional environment and on the light end of what she does. So I agree that if you can't act professional at work you need to go, I just think that if that was the standard for everyone the daughter would've been booted out before it ever got physical.
@@Kat-mu8wq but remember that was in response to him smashing things and being verbally abusive himself. It wasn't the correct thing for her to say, but he wasn't innocent. I still don't like either mother or daughter.
Over time you realize Trevor was never the problem. He’s not entirely a blameless individual but he’s still a victim. He’s only 22, never had working experience and told to run a kitchen from an owner who doesn’t teach and gives the absolute worst products to work with while constantly being belittled by the owner and her daughter (who really seems to initiate a lot of issues) and shames him constantly for his addiction. He can’t go anywhere else because there’s so few game in town that would take such an inexperienced chef. Glad to hear he got help and is successful now.
Absofuckinglutely it's is 100% the owners fault. She appointed him, didn't train him, didn't know the food was a problem and accepted it. She is 0 percent qualified to run any business. Her daughter is fucking disgusting, and her. No wonder he almost gave her a one two.

This is spot on and you realize when you put people into pathological situations, you turn them into pathological people. Take them out of those and into healthy one's and you'll be amazed at all the good they can do!
Obviously a pick me girl. I was shock as swell when she mentioned it. She can say those things IF it directly affects he’s work BUT it doesnt. She used that information to put down Trevor. When in fact she just shows how pathetic she is.
Tbh I feel that Trevor's drug problem was at least partially caused by the amount of abuse he received from the owners. You see the guy try so hard to behave himself, try to take accountability, albeit failing colossally, but the hate directed towards him was just... Erruuuuooogh.
@@missscarlet7902 Misreading a comment and immediately start to guilt trip people? If you got some undealt issues I hope you get better. If not, lol hi idiot.
I feel Trevor was greeted unfairly . Never trained to be a chef and yet the owner made him head chef . He gets targeted for everything. No wonder he has attitude I would as well . He has no idea what to do and they aren’t helping him at all .
this is true. trevor deserves better since it’s they’re fault he has that attitude. They treat him poorly and they don’t even understand trevor’s problems. 🫤
I am not sorry for him. Trevor is a drug abuser, a dangerous individual and a woman attacker ... and he even admits to all of this. No sympathy for that kind.
God I think it’s despicable when someone uses another person’s addiction as an excuse to treat them terribly. The owner and daughter clearly know he has this problem and think that makes it ok to treat him like a piece of shit and as an excuse for their own awful characters. Horrible.
Especially the US version, i wonder why there are no shootings and other stunt action for pleasing the stupid US audience. All the people look and speak so made up. "Oh waow this nu flavouuur". Duuuh
I like Kevin's attitude. He is so down to earth and positive! Good job! And the way chef Ramsay turned that mess into a fine restaurant!?... Let's give Trevor our best thoughts!
Also when the owner just said "It's fucked." To the spaghetti, he asked Andy the waitress again and Andy patiently explained it. That really shows he has passion on cooking.
So, the owner(and daughter, for that matter) is rude to the employees, and when the employee does the same back they go "omg, thats so horrible" I don't mean he is right in doing so, but if the owner's behaviour is shit she can't expect an employee to behave, can she?
@@WretchHound what I hate the most about her (the owner) is that she didn't want to be blamed for the mishaps that she made in that restaurant. For example the excess pasta incident. I hate how she acted like she didn't know anything about it, whereas as the owner it should be parts of her responsibility to know what's in their fridge.
Also, the way the daughter talk is so annoying and irritating and she acts like a whiny teenager most of the time while in fact, she was supposed around her 20s. At this point, I also questioning about the owner's parenting skill.
The daughter is such a gaslighter xD And the mother is all active with blaming Trevor, Trevor seems to accept most of it, he knows he's not doing what he needs to, and to be fair, I get it... It's hard to be passionate about something you're not getting much out of... But she would not accept a single criticism. The problem is not Trevor. The problem is the owner. The problems of the owner, causes problems with the staff.
What would you expect from her daughter when the mother herself is also a gaslighter "my food is good...my food is good...my food is good". Not to mention both of them likes to act like the victim "apparently I'm doing it all wrong" yet they can't take criticism and learn from it.
Honestly? I kind of agree. Trevor was wrong to be doing drugs, but at the same time, if he was actively trying to quit the habit, constantly being surrounded by stress, and being consistently blamed for the problems can easily push him back into it.
The daughter was a huge issue. Trevor is clearly troubled and in over his head, but why would she feel the need to go into the kitchen and berate him. It’s escalating the situation for no reason. The things she would say to him weren’t constructive just hateful; no one cares about you, you’re a useless addict, no one likes you. What a stupid way to approach a situation like that, making everything worse.
@@johnfurlong5472 I honestly think she was probably trying to get him riled up to hit her so she could lay charges and get rid of him for good. She clearly didn't want him there and her mom clearly was never going to fire him due to lack of other options
Ramsey really has a heart for addicts and Trevor for all his faults did show respect and was humble, even when he got shit. I'd like to think that Ramsey offered him more support off camera than just to say "go home and get treatment". At least Trevor's "I really appreciate it" makes me think that.
You can just tell the mother and daughter are classic narcissists. Of course they didn’t fire Trevor they had a scapegoat to blame for their own shortcomings. Poor guy honestly I am happy to hear he is doing better. I think a lot of what he did was reactive abuse.
@@jamesrobert680 he probably started the drugs to deal with the stress of that business. That mum and daughter not only ruined that business but probably this guy's life
@@loowyatt6463 his habit must have been going on before he got the job. Once they came clean about his habit it was clear that his short fuse in earshot of customers was because of this. He was a cancer to the restaurant plain and simple. He had to go.
@@jamesrobert680 I agree he had to go, I mean even if he wasn't on drugs and was a good cook, you should never hire a 22 year old as your head chef. They literally set him up to fail by giving him that job. While the drug use may not of begun because of that job, I imagine it made it much worse. If your stress release is drugs and you've continuously got large amounts of stress that drug problem will get worse and worse. At the end of the day the guy was 22, he's barely an adult. It's the owners fault for hiring him for a job he can't do. If he had been at any of job they would of noticed the problem and fired him. Which would of give him the time and the space to deal with his drug problem. They literally just enabled his drug problem.
I hate dishonest people so much. When Gordon asks, "When you go to a restaurant, do you expect frozen food?" She says, "No". But when asked, "Do your customers expect frozen shit?" And she says, "Yes, I thought it was right." I don't see how these statements can make sense at the same time. I really don't.
Don't even waste your time trying to understand. You'll just hurt your head. Classic and sheer denial. Plain and Simple. And absolutely no accountability. At the end of the day, everyone goes to sleep at night and has their own conscious. I'm 100% sure she knows everything that is wrong with her restaurant, she's just in total denial and as the very cliche saying goes. " the truth hurts"... Trust it does
Watching this show, I have never ever been so convinced that an owner does not deserve their title. Hope the staff all landed and their feet. Chris deserves so much better and glad to learn that trevor managed to get clean, thats a fantastic accomplishment.
Besides the original outside walls, literally nothing remains of this place after it became a Jimmy Johns sandwich shop. Even Gordon Ramsay's changes were completely removed.

I’ve seen this a few times, and while the accusations fly about Trevor and the kitchen - the only one you see throwing fits, tantrums, and yelling is Julie and Janelle.
I could tell Andi was embarrassed by the mother's & daughter's crocodile tears. Trevor starts as a jack ass but then you start to realise why he's like that. And the other staff are good people.
My problem with the daughter is (at least in my experience) is if you know someone is on drugs and has erratic and or violent tendencies DONT THREATEN THEM

The problem is that she opened up an Italian restaurant, "just because there were no Italian restaurants" there. Also, she knew nothing about Italy, and knew nothing about cooking. I have no doubt that the absolute Banshee that was Julie's daughter is the biggest influence on Julie's opinion of Trevor. That little brat probably talked so much shit about the guy to her mom (and likely lied a lot, she's clearly a drama queen) that Julie automatically hated the guy and would never give him a chance. People debate whether Julie or Trevor was the biggest problem in that restaurant, but it was 100% Julie's daughter stirring up shit.
Honestly I felt bad for Trevor most of the episode, before the drug habit even came out I was thinking "he might be an asshole, but what is he supposed to do?", he was 22 running a kitchen with no experience, getting bullied by the owners daughter, yelled at constantly, of course he's stressed and on edge. Yes maybe even without the habit he could still be an ass or lazy, but who wouldn't lose motivation in that work environment? I just hope he's clean and doing well now and if cooking was his passion I hope he found a good restaurant to learn at.
The owner keeps trevor for 4 years and as soon as he admits he got problems and needs help, she just fires him on the spot. i think trevor should never have been the head chef, like what do you even expect from a 18-22yr old that dont know how to cook?? and the owner buys in everything frozen and decide whats on the menu... i feel bad for trevor, he clearly got some issues and need help, i just hope hes doing alright now... one more thing: I cant fire Trevor, theres not alot of chefs here... Trevor isnt a cheff and cant cook, how hard can it really be to replace someone like that.
Owner: "The biggest problem is my head chef" Then why not fire them...? If you know or think they're the biggest reason your business is failing...REPLACE THEM
could just be scared to make any changes since the restaurant is already at the end of its rope. any change they make could be the reason they have to close. or they just can't find/afford anyone.
Gordon is the kind of guy to tell you how it is straight to your face but can also be so gentle and kind. We need more guys like him holding people accountable and bringing people together. He really loves his job you can see it.
Servers eventually know after having doing it for awhile. I was a server for years and would take time to know what the chefs/cooks do as well. I even offered to help in one of the restaurants when some of the cooks left (was only for a couple of days though)
She didnt know about Trevor taking drugs despite her daughter, who tried everything to get her mom to fire Trevor knowing about it...? BS, her daughter wouldve used that knowledge to tell on trevor instantly. The mom just chose not to do anything about it.
Also after saying she didnt know about his drug use julie then said “ive spoke to him several times about the drugs”…..so she did know! Plus we all know the daughter wouldve told her!
These episodes rarely actually get on my nerves, but this mother-daughter duo is soon too much... they seem to just go after a new throat every day. They come off as self centred, only taking each other backs, and even Trevor they just seem to knock down again and again instead of just making a decision and firing him. Then they team up against someone else, we don't know what TV did in editing so hopefully it's not as bad as it seems...
It seemed very genuine on their parts, sadly. Could also be an act only done in each others presence.. nobody will really know unless they know them personally
The daughter was totally right and no one listened to her. Her ex was high on meth and he assaulted her but no one defended her while all she did was try to defend her mother.
@@nina9442 that's also a strange thing- I mean the situation is explained but as you say she was not (at least in what made the cut) comforted or supported by anyone, not even her mother, whom she ran up to and defended and comforted on many occasions.
People are coming to Trevor's defense because he was honest about the food, buisness, his abilities and owned up to his behavior and drug use when confronted. While the owner, the one in charge and the adult, kept passing the blame on him while lying to herself that food and methods were good. So despite his issues he demonstrated better character and willingness to accept responsibility and truth.

I really feel for Trevor, I’ve worked in a toxic workplace before and it is mentally draining, the way that Julie and Janelle speak to him is despicable. He wasn’t trained properly so of course he’s going to struggle. The only thing he did wrong was showing up to work high. Julie and Janelle should be ashamed of themselves and I’m glad Trevor got the help he needed.
There’s a huge amount of addiction in this industry as the stress is crazy and the hours and it’s so common in a young chef. I hope he gets help and turns it around. Bless his heart.
Yep. I was surprised I hadn't seen a comment like this earlier. Big substance problem. it's high pressure work, long hours, can lead to physical damage (my cousin needed multiple varicose vein operations in his early 40s for being on his feet 12-16 hours a day) and that's just to keep pace with the industry, without a pair of Gorgons haranguing you every day.
Honestly the owner is delusional she doesn't even know what's going on in HER restaurant and it's a such a toxic environment glad Gordon did his best to sort things out.
i know trevor isn't a good person but with the factor of addiction in his life, honestly my heart hurts for him because he's only 22 and has been struggling for so long. i hope he got the support he needed.
The daughter is one of the most annoying and petulant human beings I have ever seen. Yes Trevor and co. Might have been a pain in the ass, but she complains about everyone, even Chris who was by far the most likable character. Her and the owner got on my nerves this episode, not taking responsibility for anything, throwing everyone under the bus, and playing the victim card so often it became horribly pathetic. Kudos to Gordon for staying there, I would’ve left in the first night.
I have a feeling that Trevor is too stressed to handle Julie and Janelle, he's coping it with drugs. Not to mention, he used to date Janelle and even wanted to punch her at some point. And Julie still kept that man around even though he tried to punch her daughter!
ngl I had absolutely zero desire to see this owner and her daughter succeed. Couldn’t care less for the “time for everything to suddenly be fixed” part of the episode because nothing made me want to root for this woman at all
That was one show where I did not see any possibility it could be turned around. I didn't get his name but the young man who was the cook (not the chef who got fired) right from the start you could see he wanted to succeed and was totally supportive and really wanted things to go well.
Im not at all condoning the cook trying to hit the daughter. The way the daughter tries to cut as deep as she can in each argument and make every word that comes out of her mouth as personal as possible is despicable, I can fully understand why somebody would want to smack her. She needs to put a cap on that shit before someone actually does.

I grew up in in the US for 19 years and I always used the metric system when cooking and baking; it's way more accurate and consistent than volume or imperial units, and I'm sure most Americans who cook or bake regularly would tell you the same. This isn't an American issue necessarily, it's a "people who have no fucking idea what they're doing" issue.
Grams are part of the International System of units, used in professional/technical settings. Anyone running a business, especially one involving precision like cooking, should know these units.
Lmao I love the part when Chris first shows up every one of them is just deluded and oblivious and he's like Einstein amongst the stooges lmao completely gets it lmao
seriously i doubt trevor was the actual problem, sure he has attitude and no professional background but his attitude didnt pop out of nowhere, chanel and julie constantly harass him so he doesnt show up, i wouldnt show up either, if something its the owner and her daughter that are the biggest problems here
added on that the girl also played the victim in all cases and that's what allegedly "made her harras him"... if she was the victim, she wouldn't poke the bear at every chance she got... not saying the kid didn't do anything wrong, but I can see how his substance abuse started...
But he wasn´t any better himself, he was just as much the problem as the owner and daughter. I mean they have been toxic but there is no excuse for beeing violent against the daughter.

For anyone wondering: the restaurant closed a year after Gordon’s visit. The mother started working as a real estate agent in the area again. The daughter continued to work at places like red lobster. Trevor went to rehab and got clean. He then went on to culinary school and is now working as a sous chef. I love that his experience with addicts has instead of making him resentful, makes him so empathetic. I remember when he did a prison program and ended up hiring one of the prisoners when he got out, who was an ex-addict. When he heard a rumour he was using again, he went himself to see if it was true (it wasn't).
Trevor reopened the restaurant in 2024 and is close to receiving his first Michelin star
After about six months of that he got handsy with the daughter (but keep in mind that Trevor didn't end up in the hospital and did this in front of other men, so she must have said something VILE for them to not kick the shit out of his skinny ass)
But with how quickly the daughter goes to personal attacks it seems to me that when they broke up she likely started being a bitch to him and her mom never chastises her for her unprofessional behavior.
I mean if someone I used to date said to my face nobody cares about me I'd want to punch their head in too.. I really don't blame the guy one bit.

Also, the way the daughter talk is so annoying and irritating and she acts like a whiny teenager most of the time while in fact, she was supposed around her 20s. At this point, I also questioning about the owner's parenting skill.

The problem is that she opened up an Italian restaurant, "just because there were no Italian restaurants" there. Also, she knew nothing about Italy, and knew nothing about cooking. Plus the fact that she never gave the impression that she was willing or trying to learn either. It's sad, but it's no wonder it all went south.
42:05 The way he was so honest "Two times" killed me😂. Also Janelle annoyed the shit out of me... Just go sit down somewhere and shut up. And her mom was even worse.
The way Trevor was talked down by the owner and daughter. I'm actually surprised he didn't end up punching her as she claimed he did.
It would have been worth 15 days in jail.
@@Investigat0r worth it…
Becuz it on camera u idiota
So fucking worth it
Don't be a shitty person and then they wouldnt have had anything to talk down on. Don't be a shitty person and then expect people to have respect for you. She let him keep his job after fucking up agai and again. She was more than kind to him for that
i liked trevor because he didnt play for the cameras like evryone else... he has a miserable job where the spoiled daughter and mom gives him grief while hes trying to a job hes not trained for... when in reality its the owner thats ruining theplace with her reheat microwave food...
working in that envoirnment. you can't hopnestly blame him for seeking an escape, and using drugs to do it.
I love how when gordon told them to finish there smokes and shut down, they dropped what looked like full cigs and ran 🤣😂 good little chefs
I loved that moment!...
29:24 When she said that she dint know where all of it came from, She said that all that pasta was gonna be used today which means she knew about it
Honestly I felt bad for Trevor most of the episode, before the drug habit even came out I was thinking "he might be an asshole, but what is he supposed to do?", he was 22 running a kitchen with no experience, getting bullied by the owners daughter, yelled at constantly, of course he's stressed and on edge.
Owner: "The biggest problem is my head chef"
Then why not fire them...? If you know or think they're the biggest reason your business is failing...REPLACE THEM
Because she said she can't a replacement, didn't you listen? Are you handicapped?
could just be scared to make any changes since the restaurant is already at the end of its rope. any change they make could be the reason they have to close.
or they just can't find/afford anyone.
“It’s my head, chef”
because deep down she knows she is at fault.. and her spoiled evil daughter
If your place is in the sh*tter, it can be hard to find quality staff. What good chef is gonna wanna work somewhere like this?
Gordon is the kind of guy to tell you how it is straight to your face but can also be so gentle and kind. We need more guys like him holding people accountable and bringing people together. He really loves his job you can see it.
The way Chris knows more about cooking than the head chef 😳
Servers eventually know after having doing it for awhile. I was a server for years and would take time to know what the chefs/cooks do as well.
I even offered to help in one of the restaurants when some of the cooks left (was only for a couple of days though)
@@TornSilencio but shouldn’t the head chef still know more about cooking?
I find the mother and daughter way more obnoxious than Trevor tbh. Actually feel a bit sorry for him.
SAME
A cat says: "Meow"
A cow says: "Moo"
A dog says: "Bark-bark"
Julie says: "My food is good" 🤣
That's being overly dismissive; sometimes dogs say "Woof"
I’m madly in love with whoever runs this channel.
30:10 “we don’t have this much pasta!
“It didn’t reproduce itself, let’s get that right”
This has me dying 🤣💀
I hope Trevor somehow reads these comments and sees that a whole lot of people are rooting for him ❤
True. But one thing he should know. Drugs adicting equals trouble for him.
Nämen Strömberg lugna ner dig!
@@nina9442 he said amfetamine tho
Does anyone know what happened to Kevin from this episode? He seemed so genuinely passionate about cooking and food, I hope it became his career
Kevin seems like such a chad. The most likable character so far for me
He should come to Europe
Apparently he actually became a sous chef after dealing with his addiction so thats pretty cool.
@@XMysticHeroxthats Trevor not Kevin.
I love how Gordon speaks softly to Trevor when asking him abt his side.
Trevor reopened the restaurant in 2024 and is close to receiving his first Michelin star
There has not been a creative genius born in this world who could write a character like this owner. Otherworldly. Mind-boggling. Stunning!
Most fem¡n¡st are like this BUT there's some amazing woman out there. I actually think that conservative woman are better than men in those type of situations. I have met some great female chefs in the US, Germany, Canada and Israel and they kept their cool under fire like no men I've ever seen.
Love it when people pull politics into it even tho it means jack shit
What I found most hilarious is how shocked the owner acted about everything 🤣 loool
When she was standing infront of that pasta and said "this is going to be used today" i thought, this woman is stupid. You can build a pasta house with that many pasta
Honestly the owner is delusional she doesn't even know what's going on in HER restaurant
and it's a such a toxic environment glad Gordon did his best to sort things out.
i hate how the daughter immediately tried to throw Trevor under the bus at the beginning.
i know trevor isn't a good person but with the factor of addiction in his life, honestly my heart hurts for him because he's only 22 and has been struggling for so long. i hope he got the support he needed.
What I loved about Gordon is he never blames the servers. He always treats them kind.
I’m glad that Kevin wanted to hear the critiques and you can tell he was paying attention in order to be better
Man Chris is so cool idk how to describe it its just the way he exists in this chaos
Narcissist mother + gaslighting daughter! What a dynamic duo!
I love Gordon's sarcastic responses in these two episodes.
Couldn’t care less for the “time for everything to suddenly be fixed” part of the episode because nothing made me want to root for this woman at all
Totally, they were insufferable
No need to see her as her restuarant has been closed for like 8 years already.
She needs to put a cap on that shit before someone actually does.
naa fists work better put her in a pub n drunk bar fight she prob lose an eye
The face Trevor made when she said I don't have any respect for you either had me cracking up. He looked mortified at the realization.
He looked surprised she said such a stupid remark. She repeated him like he gave two shits about her respect. That chick and her mom pissed me off this entire video 😤 That’s how I took his reaction, not shocked he wasn’t respected by someone full of themselves
i listened this daughter for 15 secs and i felt like buying some drugs too
actually i think the daugther was the one who hooked trevor on meth XD just look at her
Me too
I love how Gordon gives the measurements in grams knowing fine well they are Americans
550 grams of flour and 6 egg yolks with a pinch of salt and olive oil.
Proceeds to make a gloopy mess of unseperated eggs and several cups of all purpose flour not bread or durum flour.
@@CummyPancakes But don't forget he was told "6 eggs". Nothing g about yolks only.
Based Eurocentrism
I grew up in in the US for 19 years and I always used the metric system when cooking and baking; it's way more accurate and consistent than volume or imperial units, and I'm sure most Americans who cook or bake regularly would tell you the same. This isn't an American issue necessarily, it's a "people who have no fucking idea what they're doing" issue.
Grams are part of the International System of units, used in professional/technical settings. Anyone running a business, especially one involving precision like cooking, should know these units.
I feel so bad for Trevor.. addiction is so so sad:( I hope he’s better today ❤️
He apparently is!
He's clean I have a feeling the abuse the owner and the daughter's abuse caused him to start drugs
If I was in Trevor's situation I would have just quit
Trevor reopened the restaurant in 2024 and is close to receiving his first Michelin star
Lmao I love the part when Chris first shows up every one of them is just deluded and oblivious and he's like Einstein amongst the stooges lmao
completely gets it lmao
When chef Gordon Ramsay said "Sometimes it's good to stop completely" that's a big impact for me✊🏻
seriously i doubt trevor was the actual problem, sure he has attitude and no professional background but his attitude didnt pop out of nowhere, chanel and julie constantly harass him so he doesnt show up, i wouldnt show up either, if something its the owner and her daughter that are the biggest problems here
added on that the girl also played the victim in all cases and that's what allegedly "made her harras him"... if she was the victim, she wouldn't poke the bear at every chance she got...
not saying the kid didn't do anything wrong, but I can see how his substance abuse started...
Yeah. Just cos he was an asshole, they used him as a scapegoat.
But he wasn´t any better himself, he was just as much the problem as the owner and daughter. I mean they have been toxic but there is no excuse for beeing violent against the daughter.
@@juliajuanafernandaalvarez1456 She started talking like that to him after they broke up.
She had been going at him for over a year when he threw a punch at her, in front of other people.
Now either everyone in the restaurant hates the hell out of her or she said something that everyone was like "Nah bitch, you kinda deserved it."
Its not okay to hit people, but its also criminal to make a work environment that hostile because the daughter can't control herself and the mother won't control her either.
what do you think of the aurelion sol changes
37:52 The way Kevin talked back to Julie is so funny!🤣
I rolled in laughter when the daughter said trever is way outta his league, he's an idiot
Me thinking: least I eat my soup with a spoon
🙌🏻 for “Gordon’s Team”, who always manage to deliver a whole new interrior feeling overnight! I know that it doesn’t happen overnight (I suppose that they already start planning when they first visit a new restaurant), but still - the interior designer knows pretty well, what he/she’s doing. I love to see the transformations every time and you just have to do it, in order to make “something new” more believable to the customers. 😊
Julie is the best example of "if you are stupid then be active".
That stupid activeness had to pay off in her previous ventures as a realtor.
God the daughter and mother are so horrible and toxic. They take no responsibility and just antagonise the staff. I’m glad their restaurant shut down, they didn’t deserve it
Trevor shouldnt get druged during work
