They should make the website open to everyone. It would not stop people from coming. It would probably increase visitors

To the victors go the spoils- that often includes the way the story of its history geys told and passed down.
Stories like that, and many of the same genre, are notorious for being altered and exaggerated.

This man destroyed the homes and families of indigenous Americans.

jacob bey - Some “indigenous” Americans destroyed homes and families of some native American descendants of European immgrants as well, and, for that matter, homes and families of other aboriginal tribes.

@@GH-oi2jf No man or woman of European descent had the right to violate the Treaty of Peace and Friendship of 1787 or The Treaty of Tripoli of 1790. Europeans kidnapped Pocahontas (Moataka) in 1617 who was the heir of the Powhatan Tribe, took her to Europe, where John Rolfe impregnated her (rape...she was already married to a tribal member), changed her name to Rebecca and once she delivered the baby named Thomas Rolfe, she was murdered. Then the Europeans killed her father who was the Chief of the Powhatan Tribe in 1618 where the baby would now be the heir. Then your people stole the land....so please don't tell me what my people did....that was feuding among each other....but at the end of the day the land was still ours....your people were able to have generational wealth by enslaving indigenous (and aboriginal) tribes. Andrew Jackson was the catalyst in making sure he finished what the colonists started. I'm glad his picture in the oval office may be removed. Honor the Treaties!!!! Restore what was stolen!!!! The 400 years of your rule ended August 20, 2019. So now it's time to live peacefully but this white supremacy crap is forever over!

Jackson got one of his slaves pregnant. He had my people slaughtered for no reason just because they were Native American Indians that sort of makes me mad he made my people walk the trail of tears now I'm what do you think about? Let me see if I can get any replies back on this

I believe you're confusing Jackson with Jefferson (on the pregnancy). Jackson didn't have an intimant relationship with one of his slaves. (Jefferson, on the other hand, was in love with the young woman he fathered a child with and I feel she in turn loved him too.)

      ...a copy of my Comment:
(History is one of my Degrees and I'm still Passionate about History.)
Now *"Ole Andy"* is one that has a 50/50 with me. On one hand I loathe his decisions regarding the Native Peoples and African Americans.
On the other hand I admire his tenacious will, particularly the fact "he would not give our Power away to the International Banking and Financiers", that Woodrow Wilson later did (Federal Reserve Bank Corporation).
Thus, I feel they were behind his Assassination Attempt of Jackson and every assassination of a POTUS.
When the Assassin attempted to shoot Jackson the 1st gun failed. He was trying to get a second gun to work, Jackson took it away from him and proceeded to whip the stew out of him. *"That is the example of a hard-headed individual and that can be most appealing when directed appropriately and when necessary."*
I just know he had vast potentials, yet *"our early childhood, learned Prejudices and Belief Patterns",* can be tough to reform, even when we are Consciously efforting to do so.
But his decisions around Native Americans and African Americans were so unfair.
I've lived part of my life in Tennessee, School + College, then a return 10 years ago.
His mentality can still be felt here, but I truly believe it will shift in the next 10 - 15 years, as the whole of this Country and World gain a variety of disclosures and subsquent realizations. Particularly in the next 2 - 5 years.
*We are well served to make a Habit of Conscious Thoughts + applying the Higher-Mind, (managing the Ego-Mind), and coming to know, understand, and practice the "Universal Law of Attraction".*
Seek to share the facts for the benefits they can offer, rather than focusing on the undesired" as where focus goes, energies grow, and we really don't want to grow prejudices, the negative energies. (We never beat war with war, nor judgemental and prejudice, by applying the same.)
It requires effort when we are Passionate about a subject, but it is where Mature Minded Wisdom resides. ❤
Pleased to say my family is related to President Lincoln, we found out through my Sister having a DNA test. He was a Republican, but the parties flipped their agendas by early 20th Century. Obviously Abe would be a Democrat today, he really wasn't a Liberal as most believe, "he was a Forward Thinking Moderate". A Moderate, exactly my political philosophy. We definitely look a bit Liberal to a staunch Conservative Republican and look really Liberal to a R-wing Evangelical Republican. (But folks in a public as large as the USA are actually "a variance of their Party Choice", News Media forces us all to Right or Left and do so to create friction, cause issues, for their Power, and Profits.)
We need a free press to be a Democracy, it depends on a greater truth in Journalism. No private owned media is a free press.
      Best Wellbeing ...

Without your past, good and bad, you wouldn't be here. It had to come together just as it did for you to be you- in every aspect and dna molecule.
