    Glad to know you, and it’s good see you’re doing all this Great work! You have extensive knowledge in the natural world, I admire that very much! So cool that you found a home involving your origins, and that you are bringing back it’s grandeur and beyond! I’m well too, enjoying the creative life, big lake, and a lap cat by my side! She helps get me through, I can certainly relate! Bella and I salute your work! I loved hearing all about it! Take care!

    Jeff I’m truly amazed you got all that accomplished in such a short time. Really makes me want to get out there and knock off the rest of the honeysuckles I’ve been ignoring. Which nursery did you go with if you don’t mind me asking?

    • @BackyardBirdsUS
      @BackyardBirdsUS  Год назад +1

      Much of the honeysuckle is growing back from root sprouts. I never had that happen much with maackii but think this is tatarica. The nursery was excellent. Great prices and great tree selection. Had to look it up. Reeseville ridge nursery. I highly recommend them.

    Hi Jeff, I'm sorry about your accident. This was the first I heard about it. I haven't talked to anyone at the Kansas Native Plant Society in a long time. It seems like you are doing well in spite of it! I see you decided the mattock was the best tool to remove bush honeysuckle. I haven't been down to the area we cleared along the Shunganunga since you were here. I'm almost afraid to go down there because it may have all come back. I am impressed with all you have been able to accomplish up in SD. Stay well!

    • @BackyardBirdsUS
      @BackyardBirdsUS  Год назад

      You should go there and check on it. I think it's still clear but could likely use a work day. I use my mattock all the time. Are you the one that introduced it to me. I think you are!

    • @BackyardBirdsUS
      @BackyardBirdsUS  6 месяцев назад +1

      I do have bluebird boxes but usually only get one pair but get multiple pairs of tree swallows which I like so much, I also get tons of house wrens. Like one in every box by late season. But I love them too. Thank you for watching.
