I learning from doing, so I do like your teaching style. I know this is 5 yrs old, but I'm managing to get stuff done. Is the font used a bold? Can you use Capital letters at the beginning of each word. Tried to find pattern on web page and came up with nothing. How do I get it?

Is there really a spider web mesh inside those letters in original logo? Anyway, I love the way You did it. If they didn't, it's their loss ;)
The original logo has similar shapes in the text.

Unrelated to this tutorial but a question I've been meaning to ask for the longest time: how do I stop plugins from displaying when they load at startup? I know it's a setting in Options somewhere but where?

Thanks, Jesus. I want the plugins to load silently, i.e. not display a panel but load in the background. I know that it's possible because I found the setting by accident in my laptop installation. Now I want to do the same with my desktop installation.

Hi! when making the transformation of text for making the 3d effect, I'm not getting the same effect after resizing it %99.3 and using the command option shift T command ...
play around with different sizes the percentage is relative to the size of your canvas.
Yeah i was using 131.15 but it wasnt turning out so good so then i changed it to 200

Why go to all the trouble of creating a new background layer and deleting the original? Why not just select the background colour you want when you create the new document?
Adjustment Layers, and Fill Layers give you lower files size than pixel layers, and it's easy to change the color later.
Just to be sure I created two files. One using your technique with a solid colour fill layer instead of a background layer. And a second the file with a standard background but set to the same colour setting as the first. The file with the standard background was half the size of the other file and took less time to produce.
You didn't do both parts. A single color layer and nothing else would be less size as you describe. But the tutorial showed a "non-destructive" glow technique. If you were to add the second glow layer (also as pixels), the pixel version would be larger. Also, if you decided to change the background color at a later time, it would be faster with a solid fill. But it's all about preference. Do what you feel more comfortable with.
Having added the gradient layer exactly as described the files are now the same size.
