Jeremy would you consider doing talks for parents ? To raise awareness of this important subject , to raise consciousness and awareness amongst parents
The 'cycle of abuse' I always explain to my surivor group that it's not about them. Preditors are tuned to pick up on vulnerability cues and know when we have been abused. So they isolate us, set us up to depend on them emotionally and/or practically until suddenly we find ourselves in a situation that we can't get out of. Then they go in and take what they want at that point. It's animal behaviour, because they are animals. Then I teach them how to protect themselves, to not give off those cues to people that they don't know are safe. Vulnerability is a beautiful thing, but a gem to a robber is going to be attactive for the wrong reasons! About long term relationships, I've been with my husband for 15yrs which is rare for a survivor. I think the key for me was understanding safety cues, teaching myself boundaries and learning to understand what real love is. Not the distorted crap we learnt from SA and of course, having a wonderful partner who will be patient whilst you thrash that out.

This film has already as of today had Tim Ballard invited by several governments to educate/train law enforcement on how to find/prosecute traffickers & as it infiltrates England - schools will be begging you to share! The boy in Afghanistan was probably stolen/abducted - the parents could be unaware - and no one to tell them the boy was killed! 😢
