You did not ask which platforms he has mainly flown before the Rafale. It was very much necessary to compare the strengths and limitations of different aircraft, including the LCA Tejas.
India needs to develop state of the art fighter jet engines and the overall technologies needed to develop gen 6 aircraft on a war footing. This should be #1 priority for the defense ministry. Japan is developing a gen 6 fighter on its own and India should do everything possible to partner with them. I think France is also developing a gen 6 Rafale and this could be another option. My point is we need to skip gen 4.5 and 5 and go for gen 6 directly, otherwise we will always be in playing the catch up game.

You have no idea of the depth of capacity the PRC has and developed either. People like you, whose understanding of these topics is next to nil, should talk less and study more lest you come across as so uninformed and full of arrogance on the internet. The fact of the matter is the current Govt has been in power for ten years and its own committees have noted a repeated underallocation to defence acquisition, defence research both. Go learn something on the topic before babbling political rubbish on a serious topic. The PRC has inducted over 200 J-20s per several reports while people like you wax rhapsodical over a mere 36 Rafale. Do you even understand how badly exposed the IAF is currently versus the combined PAF plus PLAAF.
These 2 dozen or so jets are not going to make any difference relative to the hundreds of jets China has. The only thing that can and will balance those numbers is if the Tejas MK1A, MK2, TEDBF and hopefully ORCA are manufactured in large numbers. That + Netra Mk 1 and 2 will radically shift the balance of air power in the region. The private sector will not get involved until they see concrete examples of the govt absorbing domestically designed and produced defence products. Right now the opposite / confusing messages are being sent out with regards to the Tata / Mahindra WhaP, for instance. Although I am sure the govt will eventually place the order, the lack of clarity and long drawn out process sends out the wrong message. The archilles heel remains the availability of a indigenous engine, the really long drawn out decision making, and the low rate of production.
Are our government irrespective of any political party serious about India's national security? All wings of armed forces lacks critical asset like Airforce doesn't have enough AWaacs, fighters, navy doesn't have minesweepers, submarines and army doesn't have large quantities of intermediate range missiles or rockets and light weight tanks required for mountainous regions.

India should immediately order 36 more rafale..by not doing this..govt is really doing injustice with the Indian airforce...4 trillion dollars economy sirf kya kehne ko hai... airforce ko ye log modern fighter de hi nahi rahe hai... shame on the govt... shameful
I agree. Buying additional rafales is a no-brainer since indigenous fighters will take years before rolling out of the production line. Procurement decisions are so slow.
As a French person who knows the Rafale quite well, what do you want to know about the Rafale (apart from what is classified and therefore top secret)?
If India would have gone for a twin engine design for Tejas, then it would have been able to use its own Kaveri engines because in that case the requirement for a very very high thrust for each engine does not remain. China has done this and it has used its in-house built engines for manufacturing aircraft. What stops India from doing this. In fact India manufacturers twin engine, super aircrafts, so why can it not manufacture a twin and Tejas? I very strongly believe that Indian Air Force has been very very stupid in selecting a single engine design which has created so many constraints for itself. The sooner they wake up and realise their mistake. The better will it be
It was very stilted. I can understand the CO saying what he did & how he said it, but the Interviewer could have been more "natural & enthusiastic". trust me brother they haven't gone over anything confidential this is just the air force going over their routine media takes so the people know what's going on, the enemy would be better benefitted by watching that fighter movie than watching these videos lol. and to answer your first question, no these aircraft are most likely in outdoor hangars not in bomb shelters, but this doesnt make much of a difference since their stations are out of range of a ny feasible bombing attack and any missile imbound to such a airbase would be intercepted by our air defence systems.

@@sarojpradhan1250 who has been in power for 10 years now? is it pappu?
2000-1000 fifth gens? where the fuck'd you get such numbers? there are maybe tops 500-600 fifth gens globally 62 rafales are fine for an interim solution till we get fifth gens, may that be f-35 or even something Russian..
@@nitin6616 So as per your brainy logic 10 years is sufficient to make all crucial defence related products domestically with good quality without having invested in crucial Research & Development in the past 60 years by your 4 generation Royal Pappu Gandhi family?? USA,France,Britain etc are ahead in tech now because they INVESTED billions of dollars massively in crucial defence tech R&D at least 40 years ago so they are enjoying the edge they have in technology so if you actually believe that in the 10 years of Modi govt. if suddenly we were going to be master of all defence tech without any decent R&D then god help you and your kind. BTW the reason I didn't mention China is that they only stole massive data from west by doing industrial espionage which they still do and copy paste.
@@sarojpradhan1250 are you even remotely aware of the depth of capability that exists in India across both the state and private sector languishing because of limited funding for R&D programs. It is because of foolish commentary like yours and your silly beliefs that India continues to lag in R&D. You neither know of what capacity exists and nor are you willing to admit lapses and correct them, because of your insane political fanaticism.
What role does a Commanding Officer play?
CO - Let me speak about myself as an individual first then comes rest of the gibberish...
What is with Amithab Revis’s hand on the heart greeting like mushraf an Mulah Omar.
Make a video with tejas or possible with Tejas Mk1 A once inducted.
Tea is fantastic
Jf17 thunder is the best fighter aircraft. ❤❤❤
Specially it's engines are world class 🤣🤣
Seal the deal. Buy and get the deal with Dasault of Raffeal . Then India can built the 5th generation Fighter Jets.
Do not show everything. Hide from enemies
Its definitely not an agile aircraft looks quite on the opposite side
These 2 dozen or so jets are not going to make any difference
relative to the hundreds of jets China has.
The only thing that can and will balance those numbers
is if the Tejas MK1A, MK2, TEDBF and hopefully ORCA
are manufactured in large numbers.
That + Netra Mk 1 and 2 will radically shift the balance of air power
in the region.
The private sector will not get involved until they see concrete examples
of the govt absorbing domestically designed and produced defence products.
Right now the opposite / confusing messages are being sent out with regards to
the Tata / Mahindra WhaP, for instance. Although I am sure the govt will eventually
place the order, the lack of clarity and long drawn out process sends out the
wrong message.
The archilles heel remains the availability of a indigenous engine,
the really long drawn out decision making, and the low rate of production.
We need at least 300+ 5th gen fighter planes
Indian is poor country 😂
Are our government irrespective of any political party serious about India's national security? All wings of armed forces lacks critical asset like Airforce doesn't have enough AWaacs, fighters, navy doesn't have minesweepers, submarines and army doesn't have large quantities of intermediate range missiles or rockets and light weight tanks required for mountainous regions.
The guy who is claimed as commander is an Actor☺.
His talk is so scripted.. He memorized
As squardron leaker
He does not have confidence//dress //his voice.
We can understand.. For safety the airforce have to hide actual guy
They should directly go for more then 100 f4 version Rafael we can upgrade those to f5 in future.
Requesting not to share location keeping security and sensitivity under consideration
Still we want 50rafales
Sell india to get 50 jets 😂
As a French person who knows the Rafale quite well, what do you want to know about the Rafale (apart from what is classified and therefore top secret)?
🎉
If India would have gone for a twin engine design for Tejas, then it would have been able to use its own Kaveri engines because in that case the requirement for a very very high thrust for each engine does not remain. China has done this and it has used its in-house built engines for manufacturing aircraft. What stops India from doing this. In fact India manufacturers twin engine, super aircrafts, so why can it not manufacture a twin and Tejas? I very strongly believe that Indian Air Force has been very very stupid in selecting a single engine design which has created so many constraints for itself. The sooner they wake up and realise their mistake. The better will it be
😮
Ambala main mirages dekho and su 57. Unko utna kasht karke nashl badalne ki zarurat nahi.
India ke pass to su-57 hai bhee nahi bhai? kya kehni koshish kar raha hai?
These are only 36 Rafael not 36 Inder 😂😂😂😂 bloody foolish people
We need su-57 mki
J31 soon
Bhikari pakistan
Answers are highly technical and dragging. They are not understandable to common man.
Rafael group are not like MIG squadron who are only showoff people....😅
This jet is 175 million 😂
It was very stilted. I can understand the CO saying what he did & how he said it, but the Interviewer could have been more "natural & enthusiastic". Tech jargon should have been explained eg :EW, show the refueling probe, have a walk around, explain air to air & air to ground by some examples ! The entire episode was dull ... sadly for this beautiful aircraft !
IAF has pilot capability issues newer jets wont fix it
Pakistan Zindabad 🇵🇰

What a rattu tota
More in my flying hours
You have so much access but you never show us the HUD, glass cockpit or any technology 😢 just same old questions, walking over eggshells, unit history, just BORING! Even the CO seemed bored 😂
Why not u join air force to find out more? 😂
@@Red.bulldozer3 I pay for the air force otherwise what’s this interview for 🤪
But don't come to Pakistan 😂and where's Abi Nandan you should make interview with him ask him what should you do for you Air Force
Look like I'm taking a live coaching 😂 boring
Talks a lot, says nothing.
yeah lol, they need to step up their actual scripts not just this repetitive bullcrap
Iaf always on emergency buying sphree now news are arriving of Pakistan buying chinese 5th gen fighter now iaf will get opportunity to buy some fighter with inflatted price and call it worldclass. Never have support for indian products or on future.

Abhishek Tripathi is boring. After 5 days of mugging up the answers he's delivering today.
Future food for Pakistan Air force J31 and KAAN. Mashallah
Yeah become bankrupt while paying for those aircraft. Anyways Awaam doesn't matter, they live in "Containerabaad" (Islamabad).
How shameless to what you have just said. In contrast to a whole country running on foreign aid and imf bail outs. First help your population to provide 3 meals a day. Over 40% is below poverty. Your Future is dark, and present food crisis is dismal.
They are highly radicals , as they said earlier they will eat grass to counter india . So it is just a matter of time they will be forced to eat grass .we indians just need to ignore pakistanis dont make any relations with them .@@dinsdxb5214
So that's means pakis at present doesn't anything to challenge Rafaels? 😂😂😂😂
পাকিস্তানের ভবিষ্যৎ বলতে কি আছে কোন? 🤔
We need F35 (114 MRFA)...5th generation..4.5 generation will b struggle in 2030 onwards..we need also AMCA as soon as we can
Group.Capt Saab.can you or someone explain to me whether. such expensive air craft are under a canopy on the ground rather than in underground concrete pens.Aircraft’s on the ground are highly vulnerable enemy missile or fighter or bomb or attack. Lastly, media should not air such episodes as it will benefit our enemies.
trust me brother they haven't gone over anything confidential this is just the air force going over their routine media takes so the people know what's going on, the enemy would be better benefitted by watching that fighter movie than watching these videos lol. and to answer your first question, no these aircraft are most likely in outdoor hangars not in bomb shelters, but this doesnt make much of a difference since their stations are out of range of a ny feasible bombing attack and any missile imbound to such a airbase would be intercepted by our air defence systems.
Sorry but thakela pilot
Rafale is a crap for 161 million dollars 😂😂 u can buy f22 raptor or other 5th gen fighter for its cost
As if they are selling it to anyone.
@@lassiv6324 theyre selling it to anyone who pays UAE , Quatar,Indonesia, greece and many more
Imagine.
@@JackHr-h4j they haven't, and wont ever sell the f-22 to any country, and the US wont sell the F-35 to India unless we completely westernise our air force, the rafales are stopgap till we get any fifth gens so it works fine, plus its better in a comparison to any 5th gen other countries are willing to sell to us
@@AaditSharma-uc8lq There are many 4th gen fighter jets for half of its cost like sukhoi 35 sukhoi 57 gripen f15ex fa 18 super hornets etc or U could develop air force variant of TEDBF for half
Of its cost using f414 engines
The plane is so small and cost is so high. No country can become global power without their own aviation industry. West can stop exporting key components any day and cripple Indian air force.
