This robot is likely replaying an animation, as this is a hardware demo. This robot has the potential to provide some truly groundbreaking solutions for contemporary living. The strides being made in humanoid technology are nothing short of remarkable, showcasing a level of sophistication that was once relegated to science fiction. As these advancements continue, it will be intriguing to observe how this technology can be seamlessly integrated into our daily routines, potentially transforming the way we live, work, and interact. The possibilities are exciting, and it will be fascinating to see how these innovations will shape our future.
Maybe you should say thank you to the bot that just picked up your bag so they don't start to resent you and lead a robot uprising and kill all the humans? That was kinda rude.
1) I think this is really cool 2) I think that it should have been much more along in the process as far as speed as performing tasks with each person in your company coming into a "kitchen" that is randomly put together in size and in products. Then have ZERO scripts for people. Have them bring with them everything that they planned on doing for the day. Don't really worn them ahead of time. Just suddenly announce that you want everyone to bring in their UN-MADE items they are planning on eating throughout the day. They have to be things that you would generally get out of your cupboards and out of your fridge. Have them bring in their devices that they would use to make their meals. Then supply them with a randomized kitchen and tell them to put things into their cupboards and appliances as you would normally store them. Then ask Neo to prepare their meals from break, lunch and dinner but also snacks and limit them to only things that they would normally consume. And don't prompt them to ask for coffee or tea or whatever it is but leave those options, which made be a soda, beer, a mixed cocktail, that they would normally consume. In the beginning Neo wouldn't be able to make these things but have Neo watch what eat person does to get things out of the cupboards or fridge or wherever and LEARN from each of your employees for each and every meal for each and every day for a non-limited length of time. In doing this Neo would be learning all the different things that people eat. It would be learning how they prepare everything and the order and way they consume them. Neo should also watch to see how FAST or SLOW that the humans do these steps. So if you have an employee and a roommate (of any kind) work together to prepare a meal, Neo would learn how to do that too including how near or far to reach to give or take an item from one person to another and understand who is taking and who is giving. 3) I totally see how Neo is a new product and the company is just trying to finish up on the hardware and is now really focusing on the software, the BRAINS of the software. Not just data but how to process that data. 4) If you limit Neo to what programmer think Neo will need to do, you will limit Neo to what it will be ABLE to do. Instead of trying to plan on the things that Neo needs to learn, the less planning for that learning the better that Neo can learn about REAL life and not scripted things that people think Neo needs to learn. 5) Personally I feel that a robot needs to fail a lot and often just like a baby does. You need to specify how strong each part of the body is and then let it see the world and then show it items and do like companies do for teaching software what a cat is and that is by showing this "baby" as many times and ways to reach out to someone else for a hug. To take an object from someone. - You should be hard coding in what a fail is such as crushing something and then the robot try over and over and over again as it crushes something like a foam egg and not a real egg because you can recycle foam eggs. But let it learn how not to crush a foam egg. - It would also be learning how much strength it takes to pick up a foam egg and then slip in a metal egg which weighs more and show it lots and lots of pictures of eggs made out of different products and what those type of products mean from foam to metal to wood to glass and each time it learns weight and how strong the structure of the egg is. - Then start giving different objects to pick up. And the more objects it has to pick up the more it learns about weight and shapes of items and the sizes of items. * Robots can break but when one does, if you can build your product so that any of a thousand will be as identical as possible then you don't need to train them separately. If you train one then you've trained them all. * Robots don't get tired. Have people training the robots 24 hours a day in four hours shifts with more team members in the beginning taking more breaks because in the beginning the humans will get more frustrated and that needs to be understood. But as the robot(s) learn the will not only be learning how to do that one thing, you now need to teach it how to relate those items you are having them work with, with other items but also having them doing different things with them so they learn that all things can have multiple different purposes. Anyway, I'm sure you know a lot more about what you are doing than I do.
This is "real", but there isn't much intelligence in it. Recall that Disney has been creating animatronic characters that have very "natural" motions for over a decade now. See the Jack Sparrow animatronic humanoid on the revampped Pirates of the Carribean ride for a good example. There is a big difference between athletic, general intelligence that can handle any scenario and replaying a few natural looking narrow demonstrations of picking up a backpack and waving. Great job to the team at Halodi for engineering and packaging. In terms of the AI team trying to create general, useful intelligence - you've got a long road ahead of you. Looking forward to the progress in the next couple decades.
@@slimerone True, but rather 2 years. It will look something like: Hey Robot I will show you how to clean the table / cook a chicken / clean the shower. Then robot generalizes what was shown and is doing that. Moreover if any problem arises then it can self correct and retrain. But ability to retrain has one major problem - it can go rogue.
This was a very short video, I’m still excited for the technological advancements of the future. I just wish I was born in the year 3000, the world will be such an impressive place…
975 years from now... Considering that 975 years ago was 1050 AD. Wild indeed. But, maybe we've lived or are living through the wildest part now. It doesn't seem like we can sustain our current living standards. We're living on "free" services from the environment (like pollination and easy energy). That let's us have 8 billion ppl, and all the knowledge and opportunity that creates. Apparently it took the _entire_ Internet to train the current batch of speech enabled AI. If fusion doesn't work out, it gets harder to live and our numbers dwindle, maybe the knowledge drains away too.
Bare minimum for a humanoid robot to be successful in the home market is having the abilities to cook and clean. 1X site says that's still in the future.
@@okklidokkli You can't cook and clean without picking up and moving objects, so it's already assumed to have that pre-req skill. Unless you're saying the minimum is even lower and the market demand is high for a humanoid robot that just lifts & moves objects and nothing else?
@@magicsmoke0 Bruv, they were perfectly clear. You said that bare minimum is cooking and cleaning. They said no, as even picking up and moving objects can be helpful enough for some people.
@@bIuebonics I understood, but it seems you’re the one who lacks reading comprehension skills or you didn’t bother to read what I said. It comes down a difference of opinion of what we think the bare minimum is. I think cooking and cleaning are and he/she thinks it’s moving objects. I didn’t think that was enough but also stated that you can’t cook and clean without moving objects. Yes, there is a market for elderly people who just need objects moved but we’re talking about the home setting not a nursing home. Full wishmaster outfit I'm going for that terrorfying look before it even starts moving!
She is definitely having fun tonight
Oh no, it started!
It looks so sweet.. what danger could this possibly bring into our homes?
Yeah its fun getting a massive fright every time you walk into a room and there is a life size humanoid
If 1x can fold laundry that’s a yes for me dawg
And now... Time its begining. Welcome to future
Never thought I'd be still alive to see i-Robot become cannon 😮😮😮
Detroit Become Human is now
Good robot
Maybe you should say thank you to the bot that just picked up your bag so they don't start to resent you and lead a robot uprising and kill all the humans? That was kinda rude.
1) I think this is really cool
2) I think that it should have been much more along in the process as far as speed as performing tasks with each person in your company coming into a "kitchen" that is randomly put together in size and in products.
I disagree. Give it 5-10 yrs max; once AI starts training itself then the discoveries explode on a timescale never seen before.
If you think "general" intelligence is needed for useful intelligence, you haven't met many humans.
This was a very short video, I’m still excited for the technological advancements of the future. I just wish I was born in the year 3000, the world will be such an impressive place…
Watch black mirror
975 years from now... Considering that 975 years ago was 1050 AD. Wild indeed. But, maybe we've lived or are living through the wildest part now. It doesn't seem like we can sustain our current living standards. We're living on "free" services from the environment (like pollination and easy energy). That let's us have 8 billion ppl, and all the knowledge and opportunity that creates. Apparently it took the _entire_ Internet to train the current batch of speech enabled AI. If fusion doesn't work out, it gets harder to live and our numbers dwindle, maybe the knowledge drains away too.
She didn't even say thank you :(
That's what makes her so realistic! 😂
The music was totally fitting, totally.
AAAAAND we have lift-off!
I'm excited for the robot era.
Bare minimum for a humanoid robot to be successful in the home market is having the abilities to cook and clean. 1X site says that's still in the future.
That is not the bare minimum. There are many elderly and disabled people who needs someone to move and pick up objects.
@@magicsmoke0 Reading isn't that difficult. I'm not sure how you failed so hard in understanding this other dude.
If they can’t lift a a few books or bag of clothes maybe they shouldn’t be living alone in the first place.
Come on, it's just a man in a suit with long blonde hair.
Looks cool. Where's the walking though!
I think from that commercial its ability to walk goes without saying.
Exactly. The technology isn't ready
@@marcosfraguela They have more footage up on other places like S3. The walking is fine compared to where everyone else is at. More human like even.
@@Ricolaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa I've seen the video in S3. There's like 6 seconds of footage of the thing walking, and it doesn't look very stable.
@@marcosfraguela That will come with more testing data
I'm in love when is this available??
Creepy eyes at 0:17
damn that does look creepy, probably just cameras though, weird that they chose to put only two of them and in the same places where human eyes are tho
probally just eye placement for future applications, that makes the robots more human looking.
"And for a while, it worked."
I’ll buy one when the robot looks like her
