Honestly you shouldn't have to explain. Those of us with common sense knew you were just excited to get yourself unstuck. You're allowed to be yourself, whether that's excited, sad, tired. You're not a robot and the majority of us don't expect you to be. We're lucky that you take the time to film and edit these videos for us when you already have so much work. ❤
Well said. There’s nothing to be gained-ever- if you lose yourself in the process. To thine own self be true. Love the Pembertons! ❤
Donyt make too much of criticisms, Tom, you do a great job your way. Other people do things differently, are less tolerant and expect the same from others.
Stay cool.
The new cow shed is really a marvel for the girls. Addressing their needs for comfort, has been a huge morale boost for them and their keepers. Seeing that girl stretched out in bliss on her roomy bed, made my day.
That exuberant feeling when you get yourself unstuck, without calling for help, is really like no other. Once got a truck stuck about 3 miles from home, got myself out and took myself fishing to celebrate!
It’s just the best!!
Definitely is, I had the option to ring my uncle for help or mess about in the mud jacking the vehicle up and putting stones and wood under the tires, so glad I didn't make the call of shame
Now if you were stuck yet got yourself out were you really stuck to begin with ???? lol
For me it came across as happy to get out. There is a lot of joy in getting out of mud on your own. You know you have f up but you have sorted it
Hi Tom. Your always busy on the farm. Changes are good. Happy animals, happier farmer I say. Have a blessed week and weekend. Abril showers bring many flowers.
Don't let them get to u Tom we know u mean well great video as always love seeing the sheep
I spent 4 hours this morning getting sheep back from a neighbour which has escaped of the hill through a wood over a road and into neighbours field ,the gap in the fence they got through was much narrower than the spars on your gate in your temporary pen ,expect a breakout !
That "Anna," she's a lot of fun and works with you well!!
Tom, make sure you remove all the mould from that bale. Listeria in sheep is a real problem and kills.
It's a bigger problem with goats I heard from an uncle of mine. He says there are only living or dead goats and there's nothing in between. But it's definitely not ideal feeding mouldy feed to animals they can get really sick from it.
Its honestly ridiculous that he wants to invite people onto his farm to show it off. He pumped so much money into making improvements, but he cant understand the basics of keeping everything in a decent condition. Tom is like that nasty kid in school who showered once a week and didnt think anything was wrong with that. His father was not always a good influence.
@@SnarkyMcSnarkleswhy don't you go and show him how it's done, you're obviously such an expert.
@@gregrot Its sad, they are supposed to be experts, professionals at least, but are totally inept. somebody needs to tell them
After watching Cammy fighting the weather lambing in the fields, can't blame you for being indoors. We're east of you and it's no drier here.
I thought the same thing, I bet Cammy would love a nice dry shed for his sheep at the moment. Lambing has been very hard for him this year
Tom you are an absolute legend of a farmer
Hi Tom I have just watched your video and I am a sheep farmer my self and I have just noticed that the bale of hay has some mould on it - it will give sheep Listeriosis which is really horrible and difficult to treat. Sheep need very clean, dry hay, they can not take wet mouldy hay like cattle. Thanks
Who on earth thinks getting stuck in a field is something to be happy about, obviously is missing something. It's always a joyous thing when you get unstuck without causing a lot of damage & are able to get yourself out. That's when you celebrate 🥳 😅
I just came from 'Tara Farms' channel she and her dad have about 6000 sheep on their place in Victoria OZ. It seems that having a good dog makes all the difference when getting them in. Good luck with the new project. Don't worry about getting stuck, I once let the off side wheels of a trailer onto soft ground and tipped it over putting 100+ small bales on the ground. Not a popular move!
Mouldy silage or hay is bad for sheep can gives them listeriosis
Tom to help you travel when harvesting maize try undersowing with grass seed which acts like a matt to travel on and secondly a little late season grazing after the maize had been harvester!!
Also can put slurry or muck on if it’s not on stubble (Has it under down with grass) and if it’s fit. 👌👌
Some of my land that I rent to a neighbour is bottomless black soil, the maize is usually harvested November always one of the last and he's always got it off with little mess! The drill he uses is a pottinger corn drill that can drill the maize and intersow the grass seed between the rows!
lol. I love your point about being the biggest advocate of not being stuck ... I would just add: "that´s what she says".
If you make a show room, do you plan to have something for the goats too ?
They are almost as cute as the lambs.
It is nice for the people to have the occasion to see the cute little additoins to the farm
I'm betting the demo DICIA loader will never leave. You are much calmer this time. Great at this point there are no massive building projects on the go. What a massive stress filled few years you have worked through with great success. Hope your Dad is doing well, bet he wants to get away from the desk and back in a tractor. Thanks for your video, BC Canada
You are singing again…sign of happiness🎉
Your broken metal rail concerns me. My horse ended up with a serious injury when she got too close. An easy fix is a 2ft section of pvc pipe that is large enough to encase the railing. Slide it over one side and slide it back to encase the other end as well. Secure, if needed with one screw on the top. You only need to secure one side. Quick, easy and safer. Hope this helps.
Hey, get snow fence, plastic roll fence stuff, and attach to your panels. Will prevent the sheep from escaping, and they will, as we have seen. Attach the fencing to the inside so they can PUSH thru. Cheers from Canada.
Love your new help funny women, hope everyone is doing ok, My wife was asking about Jo and the baby and your Dads back, anyway as always in our prayers...
They are doing really well thank you ☺️
Always improving for the comfort of the animals!! Well done, Tom!!
I knew what you meant Tom. Why do people have to try to be negative, I don't understand it. We all know you didn't want to do that 🤯🤯🤯
💯🙈
It is much easier to be negative than to be positive 🤷🏻♂️
Tom, you’re a pro at drone photog! Love those shots! ❤
Yea, incredible to see the ladies so relaxed in their stalls! Those red bars are super! Look so robust and safe as well as cute as heck!
Very beginning of the vid...Cow 126 has a heart on her forehead!
It's great seeing the ladies in the videos..like a breath of fresh air seeing young bright new faces ... not that you and The Ginger are stale air lol. Keep up the good job farming and youtubing.
Not surprised it's raining 🌧️ , too much singing Tom !! 😮🎶😂😂
😂❤
Sheep will well on straw and cow cake
I think you should look at a front weight for the big case will just make it ride a bit more balanced with the tanker, tipper trailer and muck spreader also will help keep traction in the front
Good Tom a great thing fore the sheep and in the future. It is bad weather and wet here in Sweden to we have tons of job to do on the farm but it is to wet on fields and cow pastage right now. So 250 animals must wait on better weather.
A brush up, and a lick of paint. And that’ll be a perfect viewing area. Brilliant idea Tom.
Well done mr tom, nice sheeps. And try moving one trip on to a single. So she can rear two lambs. She has 4 teats for 2 babys and the 3rd will only lose weight. Im sure you know this but hey.
In Australia haven't seen much rain since last year feel free to send some to you subscribers 😂😂😂✌️
Those sheep look really happy and well, like the idea of the viewing pen its going to be a great idea and another bonus for the farm. 👍
Can’t wait to see the transformation to the showroom. I think you & the livestock will enjoy it tremendously and just make it feel more appealing with the paint & light.
Very NICE! Woodhead needs a shed like this! He will have one some day!🙏
Some people would say you got stuck others may say you created more drainage channels 😂. Making mistakes is human nature as long as you learn the lessons and don’t repeat that is the key 👍🏻 keep doing what your doing Tim it’s clearly working
I bet it would brighten it up alot if you could paint the ceiling white, you might not have to re-roof it, but without a paint sprayer and an electric lift it's probably not possible, love your show it always perks me up ready to get my work done your always so cheerful it's contagious.
What about building a raised viewing area like the dairy farm you visited a few videos ago. People would see more of the barn if they were up higher.
Wonderful footage of the sheep, contented cows, and all. Love and prayers 😇💜 please show Tilly 🥰
Tom could you get a strong magnet and make a bracket that takes the go pro and just stick it to pillars or steel when you are making videos,
Will look nice painted I’ve got idea 💡
Give your pal Pete marquis a ring for his compressor for blowing the dust and straw off the walls. It does a great job
1:38 :61 Oi get up … my heart fluted for a minute there
Always on the go and getting things done.
Great lambing pen, but I think they might just get out through those gates😂😂😂
Loved the video!❤❤
You should try.
A merlow multi farmer
Thanks for the video Tom.
Sheep!! Pure Awesomeness!!
Well done Tom and team. X😊
Great video Tom 👏👏👍👍
Great idea on a lambing pen.!!! You work hard using your body and brains!!!! Yeah Tom…!!! So what you get stuck now and then.. ya gotta practice getting unstuck by getting stuck. Made some nice deep rows to plant deep seeds!! Lol
Gteat video. I've just finished listening to Make Hay While the Sun Shines. I enjoyed it very much indeed, and can only marvel that you made time to write it with everything else you do. You are amazing!
Great video Tom
you will miss that space thouigh won't you for cattle /sheep housing.......what about just a balcony up under the roof and still have space underneath for cattle /calves /sheep etc......they could brush the cobwebs down for you then😃
As always love the content keep the good work up
Absolutely love it keep it up💪
Good afternoon Tom
great video Tom 😊
Great video
Cool. This is a great idea
Open farm would be awesome! Would love to visit
Morning Tom
You could do with a bigger trailer, Tom. It looks like you’re towing a wheelbarrow.
U need to train moon to herd sheep or get a sheep dog!! Would u consider doing video explaining the farm set up as in what buildings u use for what?? What u mean over the road?? xx
Another very interesting video Thank you
Awe and there was me getting all excited about watching a wash down & paint job. Bah! 🐑🐑🐑
17:25 great content again
How is Joanna feeling?? Hope she is doing better!! When you ask can a sheep get thru the fence, the answer is always yes, the lambs can! Where is your snow fencing??
Love the idea of an open farm :)
Thought about walking the path you plan to drive in the field, when there's a significant chance of it being too wet?
Tom you know your round bale silage squeez why don’t you take the rollers of and use it as a bale spike instead of using the shear grab and pallet forks
Hello from Ireland
☘️Ewe'll get there tomorrow 😂 great video 😊👍☘️
Asking for trouble with that bale Tom! Shish
Tom my honest opinion on telehandler's there a lot of draw back with maneuverability I will and always go for a loading shovel they have more maneuverability and loading and unloading wagons and loading trailers
I wonder if Olly Blogs is going to be harrowing the field and sowing the maize? Unless…Tom, you’re having a go at it all yourself! That’ll be a good video.
Great video 😂 full of laughs
Another good one Tom, hope that the Ginger Warrior is OK.When its time to harvest the maize you might see some stuck equipment, but we dont have the go that way just yet. Keep on keeping on and stay safe.
After today's rain you'll be needing to keep your sheep and cows in a bit longer yet!
On another subject, I assume you will have seen the farm sale that armitstead Barnett have at ormskirk, coming up soon?? That McCormick mc115 is the perfect 2nd tractor for you, they are a really good tractor, handy and well able to pull your tanker if needed. Better than any 4240 and will last for years to come.
Hell it’s rained here!! 🤦♂️
I haven’t seen it. Have you got the link?
@@TomPembertonFarmLife yep just the same here too, some of my land will need a week at least of dry weather to even think about going in with a tractor. Sorry not got the link, just search armitstead Barnett and then if you click on news on their website, the catalogue will come up. It's on the 20th, so not long.
The sale was advertised in the farmers guardian too.
You could have halved that pen Tim and put some of your calves on other side might also have to put some netting on the gate fences hope all went well with Little Harvey’s jabs love to Jo your mum and dad the whole team 😊❤
Never been so happy to see that pen all scrapped up and gone 😂 shame you didn’t get a bigger bucket with that Dieci
17:03 Time to install the Online Web Cameras so people can Live Watch the Sheep and Cows in the Barn.
Too much mild in that silage for sheep big trouble with listeria!!!!
Coming over from Doss farms
Sheep in the lap of luxury having so much space in the shed, they would happily fit in half the area you gave them
It crossed my mind yhat you wrre doing a clarkdsons farm with the muck you wete clarkson and your dad would of been caleb
Should have know it was to wet to go any where near a field . It's rained every day since January according to olly Harrison. Lol.
Ppl getting upset about the stuck situation is absolutely hilarious. Ppl need hobbies
Great video Tom. I’ve always liked your style of editing.
What are the chances I could do some metal detecting in one of your fields once you have your cutting? No damage will be done
Tom you could really do with two buckets one for feeding and one for muck, stones and hardcore or concrete
Forks down!! Going down the maize route a new to you dump trailer for hauling manure with hydraulic door should be on the cards. I would personally say you weren't stuck, more like under powered in the wet n slippery conditions!
I know. I’ll get looking 🙈
great video hows your dad doing
Get your becon light on.
a few sheets of marine grade plywood, back onto those and dump, move the plywood and dump. Far less ruttage.
Omg 😂😂😂you cannot be serious
Ignore the negative Nellie's it's a shame we all aren't as perfect as them 😂😂😂 you do great Tom
Don't worry about all the people that hate knowing about nearly getting stuck. I know what you're talking about. When you was stuckhe's glad he you didn't get stuck, so don't worry hater about them. Haters, God bless.😮
If you are going to re-roof the “showroom” would it be an idea (depending on cost) to make it a clear span roof and do away with the uprights in the middle of the shed ?
