    The cards starting with a T such as T1000 and T600 are not Ampere based and are actually Turing cards.

      Yes. I know, I was discussing the newer A series and the older T series just happened to be in the picture.

    Thanks! What di you think about a workstation with new ryzen 7000 cpu and a A4500 gpu? Or is better waiting gtx 4090 with liquid cooling? Thanks a lot from Milan😊🇮🇹

    • @andysilvers9532
      @andysilvers9532  2 года назад +2

      I suppose it depends on what you need the workstation to do. The ryzen 7000 and A4500 would be a great combo but if you can get a 4090 cheaper it sounds like a great choice unless your crypto mining.

      The a4500 is extremely quiet and efficient so it depends on your preference. However the performance from the 4090 would probably be a bit better.

      @@andysilvers9532 Yes I had a precision tower that was 7 years old, and it literally crapped out yesterday. So I am getting a new precision tower and there are a variety of the NIVIDA workstation cards to choose from. I am a lawyer so I use a lot of productivity apps for lawyers, but I also have gotten into video and editing and use the Adobe suite. Sounds like the A5500 card in a dell precision tower will be a great future proof machine for my use. Only question is should I jump up to 6000 or is the 5500 just fine?

    • @andysilvers9532
      @andysilvers9532  Год назад

      @@managerofthenewportplumses301 I think the A5500 is fine. It may even be overkill for what you need. The new A5500 is basically a "light" version of the A6000 so I bet you'll be happy.

      @@andysilvers9532 Awesome. I appreciate the feedback very much. Like many, I like overkill now because of the future proofing it insures. I never imagined I would be using adobe after effects or even primere pro 7 years ago when I bought my prior precision tower so I have learned that having more power with video graphic cards in particular is a good thing. The timing of all this was interesting because I had just last week ordered an MSI Creative laptop with a 3080ti card. When the precision broke down I thought to myself much better to get a new desktop with all the modern bells and whistles so I cancelled my laptop order and am instead getting a beast of a Dell Precision Tower so I can have tbe best of both worlds. Again, keep putting out this great content and interacting with your viewers (like me) as we really appreciate it!

    I've got a RTX A4000. In gaming it is about as equal to a RTX 3060 ti, however if it is a game that requires more than 8GB of vram than the A4000 destroys a 3060 ti, 3070 or any other 8GB card. In professional apps requiring Quadro/professional drivers it is a little faster than my Quadro P6000.

      What would you recommend as a good high end card for a Plex Server? I have a 1660TI currently. I want to ensure that if I had 20+ clients accessing my Plex Server that the experience for those not Direct Play would be as seamless as possible with no wheel circling etc. I was thinking about the RTX A5000 which has been reduced to $2,700 CAD.

      If you want to game primarily, then the 3080ti is definitely the better choice. If ISV certifications and low power draw are your main goal, the the A5500 or even A5000 are a strong option. Also consider the AMD Radeon Pro W6800 with 32gb RAM for $1800 used or $2200 new.

      For most people, that makes sense. Be aware the 4090 wasn't available when the a4500 was announced and more importantly, the A4500 is designed to be efficient for specialized workloads like crypto mining and rendering 3D scenes that require 20-48 GB VRAM.
