Funny part about the cement truck. The truck parked on his curb didn't even belong to the workers. It was a friend of a neighbors son that was visiting. He also slashed the tires of that truck. The case is ongoing I believe to see if they can press a felony damage to property charge based on the monetary amount.

At 10:43 ... some fool sped by a school bus stopped to pick up a child or children. Completely ignoring the bus STOP signing! 😡
For about a year as I traveled to work, I always had one particular school bus I had to stop for in the morning. A little boy would cross the street to meet the bus. I would guess him to be six or seven years old.
One morning the school bus was stopped to pick up the little boy but I saw a car switch lanes, going at high speed to pass. I turned my car into that lane to block the fool. I couldn't let that little boy get squished!
Tires from the fool's car screeched to a halt. My car wasn't hit. I didn't care. The little boy wasn't hurt.
I would do it again in a second!

You did the work, just take them to court to make them pay. Now you’re gonna have to pay them ontop of the damages and work. The contractors lose unfortunately.
I've been the contractor. Yes, you lose - However, contractors will lose even if they simply go to court to get paid due to the reputation of contractors. Homeowners can always find someone who will say they would have done one thing differently so they do not need to pay in full. We referred to them as shoppers after completion because that is when they would start to haggle prices and bring in other contractors to critique your work. The courts take a long time. While waiting - one time - I did not think they deserved to enjoy everything for free. The fine print of your contract needs to be clear you will repossess materials that are not paid in full to avoid vandalism charges. WORTH IT!

To be fair, the Pickup didn't actually pass the bus until the stop lights were off and it was folding back in.
nah the truck was already going to pass it before the lights went off, it was already accelerated. it just so happens that as it appears on the dashcam the lights went off at that moment. people driving like that past school buses is how kids get ran over.
@@Nvrmnded Interesting, here parents tend to teach their kids to not run across the road. There is no such thing as those school buses lights. 🤔
@@makpsv parents teach their kids a lot of things here, it doesn't always stick. Especially to kids around 7 and under. So it's up to responsible drivers that are trusted enough to drive 2 tons around in public, to not speed past buses letting kids off or in front of school zones. I would hope most parents can really teach their kids not to do it, but it's better for us to rely on the adults in this situation.
