my five best - all low traffic route 1. Kiambu - Limuru road -> The tea plantations are a sight to behold 2. Marwa - Nanyuki road -> This road is like a scene from a movie, Mt Kenya on one side and the ranges on the other 3. Nanyuki - Meru road -> The wheat plantations are just out of this world 4. Embu - Kanyonyo road -> A view of the seven folks dams 5. Kimbo - Kiganjo road -> The scenery is just amazing
There's that road from Naivasha towards "Kwa youth", Ndinda to Olkalou. or you can start your journey at Njabi-ini and drive to Olkalou. Try that one too. It's those roads you just want to do 30kmh coz you don't want the drive to end. Thanks Nina for another entertaining video. Great content as always for those of us who love life outside there.
The Nairobi to kisumu road? Then you show the climb to mau summit. Yes from nakuru to mau summit is a bad section as is the bit by kikuyu as you leave Nairobi. But when you turn off at mau summit Total to Kericho and Kisumu the road is lovely. There are 2 routes, Kericho or Londiani, both are lovely scenic drives, about 80-90 mins to kisumu, londiani slightly faster. You climb high and see the tea plantations and views over the Rift Valley. Truly beautiful.
Isiolo to Moyale is a lovely drive with minimal traffic but I would then stop at Marsabit and head to Loiyangalani with the surreal landscape of Lake Turkana opening before you. This is a real bucket list place.
I’ve done that a few times and its quite a challenging drive thru the Chalbi desert. North Horr area is quite turf with sand inside what the locals call laga
I can't believe all this information is for free..........Thanks alot Nahashion you inspire me alot as i look forward on planning my "ultimate kenya overlanding trip" 😅of my life in the near future.....keep the fire burning and more inspiring videos coming we sure we are here to stay...Thanks again.✌️
You missed out western Kenya. The road from Ahero to Homa bay and on to Rusinga is beautiful. Views of the lake and then across the bridge to Rusinga island. You can drive all around the island with places to stay and views to Siaya. Tom Mboya mausoleum is worth a visit too. Then you can return via Rongai and Kisii then to Bomet and Narok. Beautiful landscapes, minimal traffic, then Narok to Nakuru via Mau Narok or Narok to Mau Mahiu. Too good to miss.
Nairobi -Meru. Once more you choose a route from Nairobi ( they are all bad). Once away from Thika the road to Muranga and Embu open up and the scenery is lovely, closer to Meru you see Mt Kenya in the distance and the air is clean and fresh.
That's a good idea I love it The only road I have not used is the Mombasa garrissa road and namanga the rest I have done . Guys can also try moyale mandera road it's a rough road but very safe and enjoyable
Partly true ..... I work in Kisumu and my home is in Namanga ... I enjoy driving sooooooooo much .... But the stretch btw Nairobi nakuru ..... Untill the junction at MAU SUMMIT / tOTAL juction huwa inani stress sana .... From the junction to kisumu is so cool .... BUT YES NAIROBI NAMANGA ..... That is awesome. Also try VOI TAVETA as you go to the border with TZ .... UTAPENDA . iSIOLO MARSABIT MOYALE..... THE BEST OF THEM ALL
Hey Sir, is there a way one can drive from lodwar to turkana then to chalbi desert then marsabit... That would be an adventure. I thought you did it on your epic Kenya road trip.
It’s possible but moving from Lodwar to Marsabit is the challenge. You’ll have to drive through kapedo and the road that side is terrible. Lake Turkana needs a ferry service.
Actually no you have to come all the way back to baringo then laikipia. They need to develop a road from lodwar, Nakor, south horr, Loiyangalani then marsabit
Kitale to Lokichogio, I did this a few years ago on a motorbike. The road was awful just potholes after potholes. Luckily a dirt bike but it’s good to hear it’s been surfaced. The road from Lodwar to the lake is a bad Sandy road not great for cars unless 4x4. But this side of lake Turkana is spectacular. Eliye springs a nice place to lunch or chill.
The A2 to Moyale is a great driving road. Especially the section between Isiolo and Moyale. But the crosswinds are really strong. And there are several roadblocks where they thoroughly search you and your vehicle and ask for identification documents.
What about Machakos, Kitui, Makueni, Kibwezi..I believe you can cut through one of these towns which will take you to garrisa. I could be wrong. I think from kibwezi all the way to northern Kenya.
Bro hizo magazine tunapata wapi? Happy to hear about the upcoming plans. Another epic Bush trip is from Kinamba thru Ol Al Nyiro to Mugie to Maralal then Matthew's Ranges back to Archers. Animals all the way.
I’ll do update on the magazine launch soon. It will be out maybe end of this month or next month. Maralal road is good. I have been there but haven’t explored that route. Adding it to my list 👌🏾
I like your content very much I find it pretty detailed. Personally, I travel a lot whenever I have some free time. Possibly we should try some stuff together at some point in time.
Watching from Europe. I watched your other videos, you did good work traveling to the counties in Kenya and showing us the beauty of Kenya. But next time try to interact with locals, show us a bit of their culture, food and their unique historical places if possible. Thanks.
This is not a guide to kenyan roads it’s a guide of roads from Nairobi. The road from Iten is a nice road but to get to Iten you should travel from Nakuru to Kabarak and mogotio, then turn towards Eldama Ravine, where you see the beauty of the low parts of Baringo. Then you climb a lovely winding road all the way to The Nyaru and Iten turn off with a new road on the edge of the escarpment. The road from Iten you describe which goes winding down through Keri’s valley to Marigat is a beautiful drive too. But you missed out far too much. Then the drive from Marigat to Lake Baringo with the spectacular cliffs and views towards Lodwar and Turkana.
Its not the whole of Nairobi to Kisumu which is hectic, from Mau summit/Total turn off towards kericho all the way to Kisumu its actually beautiful and not so busy
Very true, I often use these route and its not as sevage as put.. just few bits otherwise most of the route especially Kinungi all the way to Gilgil and Nakuru, Mau summit to Kericho (very lush green Tea fields and awesomely fresh atmosphere), and then Kericho to Kisumu are all beautiful and scenic.. I think the main issue is time of travel, travelling earlier in the day much better..
in worst roads you have forgotten the Nairobi to Mai Mahio road also Nairobi to Mombasa(especially past Emali not so good) ,as for good road Thika road and Ruiru to Githunguri (to be completed) are one of my best.
@@Ninaform it is up-graded to the main road linking Kisumu and Western Kenya to Tanzania through Isebania. Almost 3 times wider than the older road making crossing in some sections risky because cars can reach pedestrians before they fully cross to the other side.

Love this one too, one of my favs
I took that route on purpose from Nairobi to nyahururu, I fell in love with that region.
Adding it to my list of routes to try 👍🏽

i think Mombasa to kisumu should be a dual carriage way,the number of vehicles using the highway has tripled in the Last 10 years
It should have been dual carriage 20 years ago.
The corrupt Kenyan system😭
rumor has it dualling was to start this September. Dualing from Rironi to Mai Mahiu. A French firm is going to do it. But it will a toll road
Narok to maasai mara Sekenani gate ....epic
Isiolo to Moyale is a lovely drive with minimal traffic but I would then stop at Marsabit and head to Loiyangalani with the surreal landscape of Lake Turkana opening before you. This is a real bucket list place.

Be ware of crosswinds when you are driving too fast
kitui, Ikutha, Kibwezi. one of the best roads
Hoping to do this one soon. Thanks, keep safe!
Point of correction.Meru to Nairobi highway is not wholly bad. Problem starts from Embu to Meru ,too much high bumps by some lazy engineers.
Try Embu-Ishiara-Ciakariga-Meru road ,,,,,,,, good road for fast drivers ,,,,,you can do high speed easily and for long distance
That Samburu - Kwale road if finished will be an interesting one too...south coast pap.
That great watch a healthy choice is an easy choice Channel

I lived in Kaimosi when I was a teen. Loved driving from Kisumu up into the Western Highlands.
What sections of Nairobi Kisumu Road?
It is a major trunk road...be specific please.
Nairobi -Meru. Once more you choose a route from Nairobi ( they are all bad). Once away from Thika the road to Muranga and Embu open up and the scenery is lovely, closer to Meru you see Mt Kenya in the distance and the air is clean and fresh.

Hey bro. Noticed a lot of flicker on your video. Kindly check the frames per second. Play with that and see what works best with your lighting
Yeah. My bad I set frame rate to 60 instead of 50 which is what our bulbs are on 🤦🏾♂️
You have a great content man 😊
Thank you. Subscribe for more 🙏🏾

When I used it a few weeks ago there was only one roadblock before reaching Isiolo. Didnt find any other roadblock. But the road is amazing.
Is this road safe from thugs and bandits?
What about Machakos, Kitui, Makueni, Kibwezi..I believe you can cut through one of these towns which will take you to garrisa. I could be wrong. I think from kibwezi all the way to northern Kenya.

What a coincidence. Am doing Nairobi Lamu next week 30 or 1st ..
Enjoy the trip 🎊🎊
Nairobi-Isiolo -Marsabit- Moyale is my dream trip with my niece.
Kapsabet to Kisumu through Nandi hills also has some nice scenic views,or even let's just south rift in general
True bro
Try sambalat maron road. Best view at Kanyangwaria slopes

Hi , thank You so much for the information 👍

I prefer using Kericho and not Londiani. Less busy and the tea farms look good.

Tried Kitui to Kibwezi? That’s a good road trip route.
It’s in my list. I’ll do it soon.
Why sould you drive to Kisumu when we have an Internasonal Airport?
in worst roads you have forgotten the Nairobi to Mai Mahio road
also Nairobi to Mombasa(especially past Emali not so good) ,as for good road Thika road and Ruiru to Githunguri (to be completed) are one of my best.
Nairobi-Kisumu is the one which pass through Mai Mahio to Nakuru
I was wondering the road from malinid to lamu what it looks like? is it tarmac road
Yes it is tarmac all the way
So you can never drive Nairobi to Kisumu? its one of the best scenic with the Rift valley and Nakuru area
I drive that rode often. I just got back from Kisumu yesterday. I made a video about it should be up next week but one.
@@Ninaform Well-you said its the one of the most dangerous and dont like it-so i wasnt expecting you to drive there
Nairobi to Narok
Best road
sasa wasee wa western tutaendaje home
My next is Nairobi Namanga road

Its kalokol not kolakol good content bro
What about the insecurity in Lamu?
Lamu is perfectly okay. Just not Boni forest.
I absolutely enjoyed this....I think you should give us a support link for Us to promote this content
What is the road he shows in the thumbnail?
Its in Tsavo west national park.
Ahero Junction- Kisii is currently the best.
I think thats too busy to be enjoyable. Am sure the new road has easened the traffic though. Worth considering.

Kitui-kibwezi
I am yet to use that. Adding it to list of roads I should try. Thanks for the suggestion.
