    Nice to see Beck synching well with Dusty and the Reverend, Billy Gibbons. I remember seeing a video of Jeff playing with SRV, and he just couldn't keep up. I expected more... and I still do when I see how well he masters LA Grange here.

    • @billd9667
      @billd9667 Год назад

      Not many could keep up with SRV in what he did best . His singing was icing on the cake. But Jeff had a much wider range. He was a bit of a chameleon, but while his comfort zone and best was as untouchable as SRV’s was, he also did Funk and Jazz.
      It’s been said that your favorite guitarist’s favorite guitarist is probably Jeff Beck. That is quite a statement and likely true in most cases.

      Fender has been making those for years. They're called the Jimi Hendrix model.

    • @ElGordo1959
      @ElGordo1959 Год назад

      @@spibach Thanks! I also didn't realise that Hendrix actually strung his upside RH guitar normally i.e. low E at top, high E bottom (just thought he'd flipped it like a lot of old blues players) and because the pickups were aligned the same as RH gave a slightly different tone. I see Fender have also replicated that in the signature RH model, but with body shape same as normal for the strap position. Never too old to learn something! 😎

    • @spibach
      @spibach Год назад +1

      @@ElGordo1959 A lot of people think Hendrix played upside down. But you can see in photos that his guitars are strung
      traditionally. The headstock also affects the sound, not just the bridge pickup.
