Merry Christmas Dana 🎄 your Christmas stocking is coming along, it’s looking so pretty. The chatelaine will be amazing once you get started on it. Congratulations to the winner! X
Hi Dana! I am excited for you to have received your first Chatelaine kit, So fun! I wanted to tell you, in case you didn't know , that there is a website called Fabric Viewer online. It has many of the Chatelaine designs on there , along with fabric from many fabric dyers. You can select up to 2 choices of fabric colors to view at once, side by side and it will super-impose the design onto the fabric. ALso, on the chatelaign website, they have a rudimentary fabric viewer which will do that . It is mainly useful for shades, but that would be helpful for you as well since you could view it on a ttan or beige background and see if you like it, or determine which hue you want and then begin to seek out fabrics from dyers , or stores. I hope you find what works!
Thank you Julie for the information!! I'm going to check out Fabric Viewer right away. I did see the options on the chatelaine website and it was hard for me to know if any of them would work. I'm excited to find the right fit.
Your stocking is looking great and very exciting to get your first Chatelaine! I felt tortured by the fabric choice for mine, but in the end I'm really happy with the one I decided on. Fabricviewer.com is a really nice resource. They call your pattern just "Herbularius Garden." Picture This Plus is my favorite and I think maybe Fog or Coastal would be really nice with your pattern. Whatever you choose, I would recommend getting an evenweave instead of linen. Can't wait to follow your start!
Hi Leah! Thank you for all the information and for giving your input. It's super helpful. I can totally relate to the tortured feeling. I felt that way just picking one of the patterns since they are so expensive. I wish they would have a real example that is larger on the chatelaine website rather that a computerized one. Oh well, I'm sure it will be beautiful because all of them are. I can't wait to spend some time on fabric viewer and find the right fit!
Be sure to check your materials and count beads against material list. I was missing 2 beads which European Cross Stitch sent right away once I notified them.
Yippee!!!! This has been very fun to do and I'm excited to send off your package this week. Christmas has me all sorts of busy but I'm going to the post office to mail Christmas cards and your package tomorrow. I hope you enjoy the patterns as much as I did!
Love your videos and projects! Looking forward to your next flosstube.
Thank you so much Darlene!! It's been a while but a new video is coming shortly :)
