The production on this album is absolutely incredible and some of the finest work I’ve ever heard. It’s the writing/singing this time around that fell flat for me unfortunately. Still, I’m so happy Tom is back and I look forward to future projects, he’ll always be one of my favorite artists.
I’ll never forget a friend called me and said they wanted to end their life. I sent them “someone loves you” and halfway thru it they got up and left the call. He had a RUclips repeat extension so the song played on repeat thru his headphones and I heard it in the phone for hours. While I heard the sheriff knocking on his window. While I heard the ambulance sirens. While I heard his mother find the pill bottles and scream. I shouted into the microphone until she heard me over the music and I explained what happened. My friend had walked to the front yard and passed out. I had called 911 and they found him. This was almost 10 years ago - this friend texted me their new song three days ago. :) Insane memories.
