Having top 2 back is just so great. More "winners" will always mean more justice for the queens doing great but that production doesn´t have their eyes on

Jessica was such a huge fan favorite back in Season 2. Like you said, I'm glad the Lip Sync Assassin format brought her back into the fandom!

And also making unnecessary nasty remarks about some queens: he notably said he was glad Kornbread got injured during season 14 so that they wouldn’t have the opportunity to favor her.

@@maximeminassian6002as much as I disagree with him and don’t like him as a person I have to say he does give some… entertaining opinions and I agree with Kandys Alien Muse opinion in that he “keeps it real” at least in his… often questionable opinion. Some other of the drag race RUclipsrs only talk about the stats and specifics of things that happen which I enjoy but also U. definitely gave us some more… variety in entertainment, I guess. Btw this isn’t meant to say I enjoy U. Just that he’s very unique.
@@maximeminassian6002 I don't think he's discrediting I think he's kinda just telling it how it is. You can argue why each of them wasn't the best on their season. I agree with him on the winners statement.

omg not the beef between u. and RPDR rejudged. His reasons for disliking production are completely valid tho. I think too many youtubers give production way too much credit when in actual fact, they are cold hearted greedy capitalists who want to milk the talents of amazing drag artists for their own monetary gain, oftentimes by abusing them or ruining their professional reputations, all whilst pushing an agenda that benefits their own pocket. Cynicism is not fun but we need to be realistic and think critically if we are going to call out injustice.
My first impressions of the LSA was that it was a way for the show to bring back more beloved queens. The viewers love so many of the girls and their dancing it made great sense.
It used to be soo exiting to see the door go up, who is it? Who is it?!!
But then I started to notice the Assassin was always WAYY more prepared and even dressed way better for the performance.
Seeing the behind the scenes of Laganja preparing for "Physical" made me realize how unfair it was and production could basically make their own decision of the winner to steer the competition where they want it.
Lmao love u calling out u. I couldn’t stand watching his videos anymore and he kept saying he was gonna stop making drag race content and nvr does cuz he wants views 🙄

I'd like to see the same video only about All Stars 2-4 video. That format was also a HUGE failure, which is hard to forget.
how was that format a failure? as2-4 were literally the best all stars seasons
@@Nate-ht4se Cuz almost always queens eliminated everyone based on their relationships. Out of 22 episodes that format existed (7-AS2, 7-AS3, 8-AS4), only 6 (!) times the queens played fair. (2x01, 2x03, 4x01, 4x02, 4x03, 4x04) Rest....sorry, but it was nonsense. So, please, stop asking me, why all stars 2-4 format was a failure.
Does the RUclipsr claim that a generic concept like “here’s how I would have judged it,” as their own?

Here's my idea for the lip sync assassin. There is a bench of 4 great lip sync queens from past seasons - present for a regular season. When a queen finds herself in the bottom, she can elect to call on one of the assassins to lip sync/pinch hit for her. Roll the dice. It's not required, but you can only do it once. It's very dumb gimmick. But at least there are stakes involved. And we *might* get better lip syncs.
It also sucked because some of the assasians got songs they weren't in their wheelhouse or they got told to "tone it down." It doesn't make sense to have a lipsync with someone who has no stakes in the competition
The format also makes it so only one of two possible outcomes is a mystery. We pretty much always know who the group has voted for, not nessesarily the top all star. On seasons 2-4 it was never 100% clear who was going home so you had that adrenaline going throughout the lip sync! I miss that feeling on all stars seasons

I feel that if their going to make a twist to highlight queens talents, or give them a rebrand in the fandom, then have a twist that’ll work that way. Laganja worked in a way because she showed off her amazing performing skills. As for someone like Kennedy, the fan base didn’t think of her differently because she didn’t do good. The producers shouldn’t have told the LSA to tone it down. Imagine if Kennedy did as good as Laganja. She’d probably be liked more by the fan base!
I hate the assassin format but I disagree with it not going well in season 6...it was actually the source of some of the best moments of that season
They should’ve given 2nd best a guaranteed safe spot and small prize instead of just putting them in the bottom

My ranking is TOP2 > Non-Elim (For All Winners) > Assassins > Non-Elim (Regular) > Teams. I fully agree with non eliminations for all winners, but I don't like it as the standard format

Without starting the video yet, I think it fails because of the lack of stakes for the LA. Why should they give everything when they don't get extra money, don't get to stay in the competition, and have to eliminate a girl who they might be really attached to outside of the show. The lipsync assassin can give everything or give nothing and either way doesn't benefit much other than a "maybe you'll be on next all stars season ://"
I didn't say that in my video, but that also works!
I think preventing them from eliminating front runners is a strength. The interest and quality of the seasons drop off dramatically when all the best contestants are eliminated by weaker performers who want a shot at the crown.
It's a mixed bag. Losing Jimbo/Pangina/Janey back to back definitely made UKvTW worse, but losing Manila out of nowhere made AS4 memorable

I used to really like "other drag race channel" but they became so bitter and hateful that I now only watch out of morbid curiosity. I like this channel because it is more positive and you can tell that you're a genuine fan that can critique the show while still actually enjoying it. Plus, you do it without all the hatred towards other creators and the show itself. Keep doing you and making quality content!!

Uckey Lee comes across like someone who hates Drag Race but can't stop making videos about it.
He's also said things like "Jaida is a great black queen because she isn't constantly 'loud' about being black," and "Kylie only won because she's trans."
They also said they "can't say why Monet won because they'd get in trouble"
The certain drag creator really does seem too bitter about a show that blew them up...

U. likes the show, I think '-'. He seems to enjoy the artform of drag and the TV moments, but he is just plain honest and doesn't shy away on his critiques about unfair TV corporate decisions and politics. I believe there are Drag Race Haters who only watches the current season to spread negative opinions, and he is not that at all...
Y'all know u. goes by they/them pronouns, yes? Like, seriously, at least gender people correctly when you criticize them. There are valid critiques against them, however, you're not exactly better than the one claiming people get diversity wins on drag race when you don't respect trans existence in the same breath.
