Thank you for showing both sides of Cambodia. I think it's so important to show the world what can happen when genocides take place and how they have such devastating ripple effects for everyone. Maybe one day those responsible for these atrocities that still go on today will stop - I don't know. But, as harrowing and heart-wrenching as it was to watch your tour of the museum and killing fields, I am grateful for the awareness you have created and salute those who have survived. Enjoy your Cambodia travels!
Thanks a lot for your comment. We totally agree and feel that it is a responsibility for us to bring awareness to topics such as these that we learn from during our travels. The people of Cambodia have been unimaginable tragedies and we want to pay tribute to their courage, resilience and kindness in our future videos.💕
Important and instructive video. Words desert me. It is important that we get to see and understand the history of the horror that turned Cambodia, a beautiful country, into a mas grave. We must get to know what evil humans have done to other humans, and must try to understand WHY. The two places you covered are lessons for life, wherever one is. Thank you.
This might be a bit of a late comment but it always saddens me to think about what happened during the Khmer Rouge. In fact, every Cambodian in the country has been through or have immediate family members who went through the Khmer Rouge and a relative who lost their life under the KR. The part that saddens me the most is what Cambodia could’ve been without the Khmer Rouge. Sometimes I lay down at night and wonder what it would be like if I could actually meet my grandparents who died during the KR. I highly recommend you to watch some videos of Cambodia in the 1960s and 1970s right before the Khmer Rouge and you’ll be very surprised how prosperous Cambodia used to be.
Hi, thank you for sharing with us. We can only imagine how heartbreaking it is to not being able to meet your grandparents, and that too with them being taken away because of war and human cruelty. We wish their souls are in peace and comfort today in a much better place.❤️ It is really sad as to how sometimes we lack empathy and common sense in many ways and the destruction humans can cause can leave scars that take a very long time to heal. And yes, thanks for the suggestion. We would like to learn more about Cambodia in the 1960s-70s. We'll definitely watch!!
Thanks a lot for the support ❤️ We feel it is a responsibility for us as travellers and to share what we learn during our travels, and learning about Cambodia’s history was eye-opening, and we have a lot of respect for the Cambodian people 💕
