Hi Hussein. Many thanks for your videos. Learning alot. Have an ipad 7 (a2197) that is not powering on / display is dark. Consuming 0.08x A (about 80mA). Replaced the USB charging port cable & tristar 610A3B now 3 times (due to alignment without a microscope). Now remaining at this low current. Previously was cycling up to 1.x amps but would not charge the battery as the current draw would increase and remain for a 15-30 seconds and then back down the low current of 80mA. Waiting on a tristar tester (JC U2) but took diode readings (1: 0.306; 2:0.496; 3:0.495; 5:OL; 6:0.306; 7:0.493). Could the tristar still be faulty (soldering)? Do have spares to replace the tristar again if necessary. Could the battery be strapping the boot process? Thanks and stay safe.
Have you done a replacement video on a motherboard cpu socket 1150-1151-or a 1155? If not that would be one to see. Thanks for your videos.

How about review of some products related to your work, like that soldering iron you talked briefly in your previous video, the one with super fine tips, have not seen that elsewhere. You could do mailbag videos or ask people to donate non working tablets/phones :D (and hope you dont get a pile of crap) .

Love your work as always, however i am puzzled most smd ceramic caps are non polarized unlike their electrolytic partners
Isn't that decoupling smd ceramic capacitor non polarized? You had to reverse it? As a non polarized cap surely it could just be left as it was?
The polarity of the cap wasn't the issue. He connected it vertically between two pads when it should have been connected horizontally to a different pad. It's an easy mistake to make when you have 4 pads laid out in a square and the spacing between them is the same. He double-checked his work and corrected it like a pro.

It went from 1 to 2 missing pads. That chip is a 2x2mm an 36 pads.
Only changed a single tristar until now and to be honest i barely had the patience. Twezers i got brand new and very sharp tips seem too big to fit and grab those components

Yeah, forget these components, they were all in the way anyway. More room to manoeuvre... Fair play - Also have you seen the Reko pad repair copper foil based kit, includes uv solder mask, advert on youtube, right up your alley.
Now that I see those mini capacitors flying away. Isn't that better to remove them first and put them aside in a paper schematic drawing? It happens to me many times.

( 2 ipads) connectors with the touch screen and if i' ll sent you a foto, you will cry from laughings.i think i vaporised the joins..otherwise how can anyone destroy connections....only half knowers like me.

They have that glue they use it on iphone 8 and up back glass
