    How did you connect the CANM8 wires to the OBD port? Did you use scotchlok connectors?

    Is it acceptable to power the Canm8 module and the contactless reader using the same wire? I.E.- solder the red wire for contactless reader and red wire for high beam module together then to 12v power source

      Hi, The contactless reader requires a 5v input, not a 12v input. The 5v input for the contactless reader will come from the canM8 itself. (Can M8 has a 5v output to power the contactless reader).

    Do you know if a 2017 Mercedes Vito would need a canm8 for installing your lights

      Hi Andy - if the vehicle has halogen headlights then no, high beam should be a black and white wire on pin 7. It it has LED headlights, then yes a CAN interface will be required.

    Do you know of any products that do sort of the opposite, i.e. activate the high beam on the body control module from "dry contacts" / relay output?

    Can the CANm8 be used for functions other than the main beam? I've got a job on the go on my 2017 Volvo V40 which uses CAN to activate all the front lighting functions. I am looking to also get a 12v feed from the dip beam as well as a main beam one for an LED light bar.

      It would be best to refer to the CanM8 website as they have a more comprehensive portfolio of interfaces that do different jobs, and we're sure they'd have what you need.

      @@Lazerlamps thanks for the reply 👍 I have since been in touch with CANM8 and it seems I can get units which cover certain functions, but Volvo make things difficult by having the signals running on separate sides of the CAN network 🤦

    Do you do anything for a ford c max? 08 plate

      Hi Gavin, nothing bespoke we're afraid. We'd recommend our Linear range, the slimline design means it's relatively easy to fit behind the grille.

    Can you do a better or new video so i can see how to wiring up

    • @Lazerlamps
      @Lazerlamps  4 года назад +1

      Hi Andre. We'll look to do another video soon, but the wiring requires a reasonably good level of knowledge and confidence that we would suggest of you are not sure, to get help from a dealer or professional installer. 👍

      I have done everyting on my install and cable harness. I have attached and installed the led auxiliry light + dehtsch contacts/plug play. That is done. Now is my question . Where should the purple wire go ? From Relay to ? The canm8?

    • @Lazerlamps
      @Lazerlamps  4 года назад

      @@erikandrehoglund55 - The purple wire from the Canm8 is the HighBeam output signal. So, this is the wire which is used to activate the relay when the vehicle high beam is turned on. So - you need to connect the purple wire from the Canm8 to the small red wire which is coming from the relay on our wiring kit.
