Thank you for including the stitch out at the end of the video. I've learned so much watching your videos, but I've always been frustrated because we never got to see the end product. It does make a difference. Anyway thanks for getting back to FTCU. I love this software.
I love your videos. You make this all look so easy. I don't own this software but I'd really like to be able to digitize designs using some easy to use software. Right now I've been using Palette 11. In trying to research Floriani Total Control, it sounds like it will do so much more than Palette. Is this true and is it easier to use?
Thank you for the video. As always I enjoy your teaching style. I really wish you lived in my state so I could take lessons - lol. Could you explain what the convert to outline box does? I'm curious why we should not use it. I look forward to your next session. Thank you.
it attempts to take an existing embroidery design that's already a stitch file and convert it to a working file so it can adjust things like density, underlay and pull compensation. Most embroidery designs that are available commercially are digitized to sew out properly on a wide variety of fabrics and using this feature will make them look worse, not better. This is both because a person who is paid to digitize embroidery designs for a living probably knows what they are doing and also that it's really hard to convert a stitch file to a working file without the program making some errors.
I'm trying to digitize rectangle frames. Whenever I stitch them out, they are always have loose tension. However, when I stitch out a person's frame that I bought, the tension is perfect. I usually use the artwork tools, then convert it to satin stitch. I've tried messing with the numbers (shorter stitch length), and just leaving it like normal, and either way, it comes out as loose stitching. If you could help me figure out what I'm missing, that would be wonderful!!!
Wow! Wonderful Video, especially for a beginner!

Glad to see you are back.
How about a session on the basics of creating free-standinging lace?
Thank you so much! I have been hesitant to use the sequence and optimize features! You have shown me they can be my "friend". LOL

Thank you very much for answering my question.
