This is so sad I went through this with my mom she was a strong woman who raised me and my siblings when my dad left. My mom was both mother and father she died of cancer. I felt the same way Sonny felt watching the end come so fast for her and not being able to make peace with it. We told each other stories in her hospital room all the time. I'm missing her more watching these scenes.
My mom had Parkinson's but the Dementia was the hardest thing to watch my mom go through....she kept wanting me to stop 'keeping her prisoner ' she was bedridden and kept promising she would 'be a better mother.' It was heartbreaking..Dementia robs you of...life...your memories, your recollection of people, times, life u spent together, trips you took, happy times, sad times, funny times...all lost in your head...forever...so hard!
These scenes btw Sonny/Mike are triggering memories of my own father's illness. He had suffered from Lewy body dementia. Watching my father,up until he passed away, go through this terrible illness was one of the hardest things in the world.
I'm not trying to be funny but this is getting hard to watch sunny in Mike I hope this ends soon so Mike doesn't have to suffer anymore. I hope in these coming soon cuz it's too close to home for me. Two amazing men my life of dealing with this

I always prefer when Bernard does these type of scenes rather than the mobster stuff. This is so good.
