I've been obsessed with the idea of one stereo ribbon mic like this for maybe 15 years... first time I've seen someone on YT do it. I had to subscribe, just on principle.
Hey John, this is like a test for the Behold Electric Guitar album? Seems like the same studio and the vibes are in tune with that album! Would be amazing if that album was recording in this format! Amazing sound as always :)
Hi Nick - our original intention was to do the entire album with one mic. However, after the test, I decided I wanted to do it more conventionally, and Paul went along with it. I love what we ended up with, and I have no regrets.
