Justin, I'd definitely make it a habit of adding to your pre/post checks with an "In-between" check too. Whoa 😮 talk about close call there with that tire. Today seems like a Hot and Cold day.Glad ya got that load, got unloaded in time and bonus...a good sandwich. You're Winning...must be that Tiger 🐅🐯 blood 🤣🤣🤣. Safe travels and God bless 🙏 you. PS CH Robinson definitely needs to do better.
WORDS OF CAUTION!! You shouldn’t air up a tire like that that’s not in a tire cage. Based on how long you rode on that tire ESPECIALLY if you’re loaded and have weight on a flat. If the tire is flat with weight on it, that in turn eats up the sidewall therefore weakening the strength of the tire. So, if you put 110 psi in your tire and the rubber on the sidewall has been eaten up as you drove on it, the tire could blow at 100 psi or more with you sitting right in front of it trying to air it up. And trust me, you WILL get hurt!! It’s like a bomb going off with you standing right in the blast zone. Thats EXTREMELY dangerous!! If you have to do it, position yourself with the airline away from the tire as you air it up…but NEVER directly in front of it.
True as to how dangerous it is. A company I drove for said a tire tech in their shop was killed from working on a tire that blew right in front of him.
@@Freeridin07 Right. I had a tire blow at the Perrysburg Petro. Went there to get a patch, but my sidewalls were chewed up so the inside of the tire was full of rubber shavings. Well, the mechanic didn’t think much of it and fixed it and aired it up ( luckily in the tire cage ) and BOOM 💥, I was inside the shop lounge and felt the concussion. That’s how dangerous it is to air up a flat while standing directly in front of it.
you can call one ahead of time if thy re open and and ask if they are able to do a inspection for your paper work as long as thy are not short staffed they normally will be happy to help
I mean I've driven with a drive tire off the bead. Wasn't loaded heavy but made it through my day of deliveries before I stopped for the night and had them come fix it haha not the best thing to do but you live your learn.
Justin, Good show of patience!! I just found out today that my nephew from Mt. Pleasant SC has been accepted to Clemson University. You may get to meet me and my family Face to Face. Safe travels back to SC.
Every month, a tire will lose air on me, usually when I’m checking the air pressure. The core inside the valve gets jammed and starts hissing, had one come off the bead a couple times. So I keep some spare cores, unscrew it, screw in a new one, and air her back up. It’s a ritual now 🤙🏼
man days like that I am thankful I am no longer OTR lol. had quite a few of those types of days. Glad you got out safe and on your way home buddy. stay safe.
I love the Genisis!! You get a lot of luxury for you buck compared to jeep. Can the jeep do more? probably but who is gonna use it to it's full potential? probably no one lol Genisis all the way for me!!
Hi Justin, love your videos mate, Have been a subscriber for around 3 and half years. Just wondering mate, if you have ever tried pulling your trailer brakes on,and sliding her in that way. Of course you would only do this if you didn't have much weight over your trailers'bogies. Cheers mate. John Queensland Australia
Carry a ratchet strap in your tool kit and wrap it around the tire down the center of the tread, by driving over it. Then crank the ratchet up tight and it should get the bead to seal. Another good tool to carry is a tire plug kit, can fix and seal punctures in your tire. All without having to call and wait on a Tire Guy to show up.
On that tire, sometimes dirt will find its way in the valve stem and let air out slowly. Once you put air in, the dirt will clear, and it will hold the air. It has happened to me. Just one of the endless possibilities for how air escapes a tire.
Obviously the new dry van trailer would also be a great backup trailer. If you have an issue with the Great Dane and you have a load you need to take care of before it's fixed, the Wabash would be able to cover that for you
A justin why want you change over to flatbed or lowboy trailer you will have to do a little more work but you want have that type of headache waiting to pickup or drop off?
I'm getting detention from CHR every time I'm due. Write in and out times on POD and sign next to it. Send it to them. Hey Justin, just curious at 46:34 if that yard jockey actually bumped the other trailer he was backing next to??? Or if it was an optical illusion??? I'm curious because the light between the two trailers disappeared coincidentally at the exact time the video was edited to cut back to a selfie shot. I would understand editing it out if it happened. The video could possibly show guilt on their part. But response from you would not. Very curious.. Going on my 33rd year of commercial driving, experiencing both aspects from employee and owner operator. I definitely feel your pain sitting at the Docks. Oftentimes our wait is malicious, and viewing it from the company employee aspect many times it's premeditated maliciousness. (pre-planned harm) Example our trailers would be brokered From California referred to Pennsylvania with perishables for 10:00 p.m. Delivery. Here's the kicker the punchline the catch. They wouldn't allow the dock crew to unload till 9:00 a.m. The following morning at the earliest. This consistently happened every week for the 7-year duration I was employed there. They continued to do this even as owner operators would leave with their product they needed for delivery that day. The reasoning.. It was beneficial for them to have their products waiting for them. Instead of them having to wait on their products. Benefiting them by not having late deliveries but oftentimes bumping them over the time limit they had in a contract. The longer the trailer had the perishable the cheaper they would get the product in the long run. What's funny to me is how Furious I get and the emotion that comes over me. Whether it's happening to you or did to me a few hours previously walking in the receiving door trying to get a loading dock.. J’ I’m so sorry for the way these people are, Im just wondering if they go through any weekly or monthly orientation sessions to just see if they actually know what’s going on with truckers when it comes to loading and unloading shipments, I mean my goodness you are right why don’t they take care of the truckers waiting instead of trailers sitting there with no drivers. Well I’m praying that you can get to your next destination with the tire issue fixed or maybe having to air it up along the way 🙏❤️.
Oh hell Jessie u had to bring that up 7 tire's. Dam women i remember getting that phone call. The driver was like 7 tire's. And i sat up in bed and was like 7 what. And he sent me the video. Lucky the company he was delivering to replaced the tire's. And the guy who own's the service tire was happy getting paid. And all 7 tire's was brand new. Cause i made sure they was. Each driver always must carry an attachment that u can connect to the airline to use a impact gun to change tire's also have a heavy duty jack. Jessie in fact changed a tire all by herself (LADIES SHE HAD TO DUE TO COMPANY POLICY TO WORK FOR THE COMPANY WE OWN) Cause u cant have health issues to work for us. Cause we do heavy load's. And must be in good shape cause u will have to craw under the load to secure it. We are in Florida and we are glad they unloaded us and we are outta here before the weather get's bad. We got loaded from another company. And it's paying $$$$$$$$$$$$ to haul a load to Smackover Arkysawy. It's not where the KKKJ part of Arkysaw is at. Jesse's driving and it will be my turn cause we are driving straight up there.
We had that happen to a driver caisenthe parking lot of the shipper there was broken pallets and the plants employees didn't pick up all the small stuff. And the driver arrived and turned around to back up and ue ended up getting 7 tires flat. The shipper was like nope it's not our fault. Ha ha ha that's funny the security guards was the ones that busted the company. We was like oh ok hmm u said it's safe to pull in nope. They replaced all the flat tires and even paid the penalty for the load being delivered late. We are almost in Florida and my grandma is not very happy about us going to Florida and her and Nathan are going back home. We always have driver's haul 2 spare tires.
Check the value Stem with some soap water it could be Leaking there or in side the stem

Thank you Luke 😎🙏🏽
Hi Justin and Tdubs and family
Hi Tim
Dang 😱 7 tires
I blow four tires today two on the tractot and two on the trailer
