I buy and use artillety in groups of 2 minimum. Especially mortar is always used in groups for rapid bombardment. Rocketartillery are best when used in spread out groups , to instant counter possible enemy counterartillery. Mortars are in constant use from min1 to end of match or till they get destroyed. I think good effective use of artillery is key ingame

      I agree w this

I agree with the two thing. They are significantly more effective in pairs. Heavy artillery can be ok singularly but two really does it

Coming from wargame, arty is incredibly useful in a totally different way. The automatic counter battery is very useful, as long as you remember to move your artillery every minute or so. I don't think it's quite as useful for general damage purposes as wargame, but if you have a lot of it against a softer enemy deck, it's incredible.

Yeah it’s definitely not designed for killing frontline troops. It’s for targeting supporting weapons and stripping their back lines out

can't really watch videos right now but hopefully the answer is YES. My favorite are the 50mm mortars cause they allow you to win every single infantry fight you micro.
second favorite is those huge american ones cause, well obviously.

I know you love your 50mm haha

From what i've seen from your videos your points makes sense because artillery should be used in support to harras the enemy aa and pestering the flags so they dont reinfrorce.

The new 114mm for the south African and indians are just soooo lovely for 80 Points

80mm mortars are my favorite! Can't play without them. Light fire support and smoke screens is all I need.... okay maybe rocket arty for counter battery in team games

They are extremely flexible and I would consider them the baseline for arty support

I play together with friends, and i have been thinking about ways to combine battlegroups to get an advantage. The guy i play the most with uses the 1. Lovas division exclusively and currently with juggernaught deployment, and i am looking for a good match to amplify the strengths of his battlegroup.
Would it be worth it for me to use maverick and a combo of arty and AT, while focusing on killing AA to get air superiority instead of getting enough armor to force my own breakthrough? He is very good at forcing breakthroughs but seems somewhat lacking in terms of keeping the enemy from reforming, so im considering focusing on air superiority, using fighter bombers to get inf. breakthroughs, killing AT quickly, and so on.

An artillery focused maverick deck could be very interesting, as early counterbattery against the AI can be very effective at taking down their artillery immediately after they fire their first shot. The biggest weakness of 1 Lovas is the lack of heavier armor. Picking a battlegroup with access to Stugs and Tigers or Panther D's could be a good idea. If you want, you could always double down on the inf offensive and pick something like 78th Sturm or 28th Jager (both personal favs) with Jager having the better arty and air options.
Edit: As a fellow friends vs AI player, I would love to chat more! Been playing for a few months now with friends. We have yet to form a combo deck, but that sounds pretty fun!

I am not a fan of maverick in team games. They go way too long and late phase incomes will dominate you. Just take your usual balanced and do that same strategy ten minutes later

How much artillery should you be usin...
    Answer: *YES!*

You can give your arty and planes to the AI (not really a great idea) but your AI will auto arty things you dont see and have your planes bomb things they cannot see
The 150mm artillery splatters the enemy though

Yeah the AI does get its stupid all knowing vision with arty

@@atkpwrgaming After all this time I'm hoping to find more information on the smart orders. Like how counter battery works, its mechanisms, why it doesn't target some arty and it will others, etc.

well as a ww1 general fighting in the wrong war believing that the tank is trash. Even with the mountains of evidence that I should be spending resources on more sensible and sustainable units. I refuse to listen to anyone's advice and bring in AT LEAST 12 or more artillery pieces to shatter the ground of my enemies and stun lock tanks till they die to the pounding rain of metal! And yes I will drag the battle out to hours long by digging trenches everywhere my men marches.
