Both figure look great but I like more the new figure awesome review my friend as always thank you so much for sharing have a beautiful weekend Svein! 😊👍
Man, the number of hands are are overwhelming, and again, additional head sculpts are the way to go. I wish they would do this with 1/6 scale so bad. At first I didn't like the two arm figures, but they are growing on me. LOL Two sets of arms and three finger hands. What a unique figure. The hair style is awesome. When you put the figure together, I just went "wow." He is awesome. The skirt is a nice color and the leg armor is very impressive as are the bracers. Having him bear chested make him look formidable. The eyes are intense too. I really can't believe these figures are growing on me. Like I said, when I first saw them, I went . . . that looks strange. LOL His mouth is unique. I like that look. It's more like a look of disgust or what can you really do to me buddy? 🙂 I hear what you are saying . . . less can be more, but I definitely like the second one better. 🙂The back of the first one . . . I don't know . . . that part I don't like. I am sure it means something. Of course, I never played the game so I haven't had the opportunity to get emotionally attached to any of the figures. 🙂 It seems like it is so wrong that we have to be gentle with figures for fear of breaking. I know I am paranoid with my figures and won't push things too far unless I don't care about the figure that much. Having said that, it's hard to find a figure I don't like fairly well. 🙂
Having four hands would be very… uh… handy when doing some work some times LOL. Back when I first started collecting 1/6th scale figures there were some figures that came with extra faces with different expressions. Why they don’t do that anymore is beyond me. Some figures like Batman and other figures where only the mouth is visible they add face plates. How hard can it be to transfer that over to the whole face? Its not like it haven’t been done before. This particular figure (character) is from a race called the «shokan», and within that race there are different sub-races too. Goro is from a «dragon cast», which is represented by the spots on his skin. The character Kintaro (also shokan) is from the «tiger» sub-race, which is represented by the tiger stripes on his skin. The shokan is basicly a very savage warrior race, so they don’t tend to be very friendly in nature. In Outworld there is a constant conflict between various tribes and races. Unlike Earthrealm, where we are pretty civilized, Outworld is a harsh place ruled by the ruthless emperor Shao Kahn. There is no place for the weak there, and you’ll have to fight for your survival. This is what gives the Earthrealmer a disadvantage in the Mortal Kombat tournament. The Outworlders are used to fighting and magic skills and powers are very common amongst them. The Earthrealmers however… not so much. With the amount of money we spend on these figures I really don’t want to risk breaking anything LOL. Demonstrating the articulation on every figure from the same toyline is actually pretty useless unless a particular figure is more/less restricted in mobility than the average figure. So when you’ve seen the articulation on one, then you’ve basicly seen the articulation on all of them. Thats why I tend to skip the articulation demonstration on the 1/6th scale figures. I usually get a figure simply because I like it or because I collect a series. Im not making any money on my channel or getting sponsored by some company, so why should I get and review a figure just for the sake of a review? Other channels gets free copies sent to them for a review, which Im totally okey with. Even I have been contacted about 4-5 times by various companies and been asked to review a figure, but I’ve turned them all down. Doing reviews on the figures I)ve picked out and bought myself gives me the liberty to state my own and free opinion about the product. I’ve seen reviewers avoid talking about the bad stuff about a product, because their channel depends on getting free products to review to keep their channel going. Thats not the case with me, and it will never be either LOL.
@@Eseres80 Okay, I get it . . . it's sort of like life . . . when you have to deal with adversity all of the time, it can definitely make you stronger. Of course, some people break or are broken due to adversity, but some of us get stronger because of it. If you have to continue to fight to survive, you will likely have to keep developing your skills because so too are the ones you are fighting. So that represents the outworlders. The earthrealmers have eliminated chaos so it's probably a different way of surviving . . . finding meaning and so on. Maybe I'm off on that . . . I don't know much about Mortal Kombat, but I have heard that game over and over and over again. I would like to get free figures, but no one has approached me. I would feel compelled to be honest no matter what though . . . but not in a cruel way of course. I admire your ethics . . . your stance does not surprise me. I already know you're a stand up guy. It just comes through again and again on your channel. You are just a breath of fresh air compared to some channels I've seen. To be honest, I never thought I would have a channel. I never dreamed about it. We just started doing it to document our figures, well my figures. LOL My husband probably thought I was crazy when I started collecting things, but some figures are just so cool looking. Regardless, when people started watching our channel, I got motivated to push myself to do different things, and I just simply love it now. I only wish I could retire early and do this all of the time. Until then, I will just do what I can. All I know is this is so fun, and I can't imagine not doing this now. 🙂You have a great one today Svein!!! 🙂
@UndergroundActionFigures Thats right. Outworld in comparison to Earthrealm would kind of be like a «third world country», more or less, but with individuals with certain powers and skills. What Outworld lacks in high tech technology (which they don’t seam to have), they make up for with magical abillities. LOL! My channel started off the very same way! I never pictured myself as being a RUclipsr at all. I just wanted to make a record of my collection in video format so that I had something to look back at later on case something should happen to my figures. Depending on what you are already reviewing you may at some point get contacted by some company asking you to review their product. I think the reason why I was contacted was because I reviewed some Funko Pop figures at some point and I got noticed by some companies by getting my videos in the recommended section here on RUclips. There was a time where new videos that had reached a certain amount of views over a short time would automaticly end up in the said recommendation section. Get enough views, likes and shares on your videos and you might end up being contacted. These companies are always looking for someone to promote their products, so you’ll never know 😉👍
@@Eseres80 I didn't know you got into it by accident too. That is so cool. If you had not, and I had not, I would never have met you!!! I like your channel and your style. I like the way you think, and I truly do love the critiques. You are just super kind!!! I know there are tons of people competing for this market so I don't expect to be asked to show figures, and actually I don't know if I want the pressure. LOL I have way too much fun customizing. It's my only real creative outlet in life right now so I would have to think about it. It might happen if it was a company that did figures I liked as long as I did it once in a blue moon. I need my time outs!!! You have a really great day today my dear friend!!!
@@UndergroundActionFigures Yeah, I would never have gotten into this RUclips thing if it wasn’t for my collection hobby LOL. Believe it or not, I have actually considered quitting several times because I don’t feel like I have the time to be doing this at all. I told myself that as soon as my RUclips channel started to feel like actuall work, then I would call it a day. Thats one of the reasons why I’ve turned down these companies as well, because once you start reviewing for companies then it becomes work and not a hobby. I never cared about getting alot of subscribers, views and all that. I only do my channel for my own pleasure really. I used to work as a graphic designer for a few years before I had to retire due to my health and I really love working with creative stuff. This 1/6th scale hobby just adds that little extra because I get to work on things on a whole different level. Life would be so extremely boring without this hobby LOL.

The new figure looks more interesting in terms of details, but to me the classic will always win LOL! You have a beautiful weekend too, my friend 😊👍

I always wish I had four hands when I make models, etc. And of course when dressing up girls.
