Wow this video is very bad. You guys are making yourselves look bad and it's a shame. Having sailed on different cruise lines before, I can tell you guys are trying too hard to make Royal Caribbean look bad, this is ridiculous. You have no valid point.
Gosh some of the replies below are mean. Especially the comments if you can’t afford a balcony to look at the ocean you shouldn’t cruise. Obviously living in their own world not realising sometimes you can’t get a balcony, this is the only date you can get holidays and you take whatever cabin is available. As an Aussie if I can’t see the ocean when I sail id get the creeps. I don’t live by the water but I can go and see it. The point of your vlog is there really wasn’t anywhere to go to see the ocean - limited space, limited areas, nowhere to sit and admire and the majority of activities and restaurants were in the middle of the ship with no views. You don’t cruise to sit in your cabin. On the flips side I sailed on the Quantum in March Brisbane to N.Z.. Eating a lovely dinner in Chops grille - table was near the Maître D desk. Loud and obnoxious American rocks up demanding a window table. For those that don’t know Chops is on level 5 with a deck that lets you walk past. The life boats are on level 6. Sent American dude away as he was early for booking and promised him a window table. He came back and got his window table - with everyone having an evening walk pass the window he sat at , peering at what he was eating and his so called water view was a view of the lifeboats right in front of him, you couldn’t see the water at all. We peed ourselves laughing at what happened. - mean but hilarious.
NO WINDOWS!! less than 5 seconds in I am senior who suffers from anxiety and ont travel thank you for letting me see the world thru your eyes I love you both!!! sending many hugs from your adopted gram is Ct USA xoxo
I've always thought that about Royal Caribbean ships. I couldn't care less about these huge atriums with parks and shops and restaurants. I want to see the sea! I want bars looking out windows, restaurants looking out windows, seating areas looking at the sea. It only makes sense! All these ships look like hotels!
My first cruise was on Voyager of the Seas. It was free because my brother won the trip at work, so I never gave the age or state of the ship any thought. The first thing i remember hearing on the ship was a guy that'd been on a ton of cruises saying he loves the slightly older/smaller ships, for the exact reasons you talked about in the video. After having that experience and watching tons of your videos, I've realized how right he was and that "feeling at sea" is one of the most important things to me on a cruise. Thank you, Ben and David, for what you do, it truly brings us all so much joy :)
We sailed on Symphony in April 2022. Never again. I felt like I was trapped in a Vegas shopping mall for a week. We had a boardwalk balcony, so noisy we downgraded to an interior cabin just to get some sleep. Couldn’t wait to get off the ship on port days.
I was going to say, for all the videos I see of these ships, as cool as they look with all the amenities, things to do, etc, it borders on "why go on a cruise? Just go to a theme park". And, unlike Disney, Vegas, etc, people don't retire to their rooms miles away at 10 pm, they're all RIGHT THERE which can't lead to the most relaxing evenings and peaceful nights sleep. I wouldn't mind these ships for a Fri departure/Tues disembark sort of thing, enough time to explore and wear yourself out, but a week and god forbid a week of sea days, I'd shoot myself
It looks like going on vacation in a mall. Not for me. So glad you posted this totally different perspective than other vloggers. Thanks Ben and David!
You’re absolutely right. The lack of sea views is the biggest issue we have with the Oasis ships. We enjoy the older RC ships so much more specifically because of the great sea views.
True..i live in landlock country Serbia so relaxing by the sea views is my number one reason for cryising ,off course not only one ..if i want just a mall i have it 5 min walk from my house
As a solo cruiser, I typically get an inside cabin so no sea view for me. That is why I love NCL's ships. I can save money and still get amazing sea views from the Waterfront or Observation Lounge, if it's too windy outdoors. Even the MDRs have sea views. I did an RCL cruise last year and didn't care for it and couldn't put my finger on why...now I realize it was the lack of seeing the ocean. Great video!
I get motion sickness very easily, and the thing that gets me feeling ill the quickest is seeing the water movement. I love Central Park balcony cabins because I get to enjoy the weather and fresh air, see the lovely plants, during the day hear the fun music from the pool deck, and in the evening listen to classical guitar right from my balcony. The room is still nice and quiet for napping and sleeping in the evening. Having other rooms face us doesn't matter. I saw 3 people our entire 7 day cruise last time. With cameras on the balcony, you can't do anything that would require real privacy out there anyway. No motion sickness from the water means I actually get to enjoy my balcony, unlike ocean facing ones.
Deck 5 aft and also on the sides have multiple chairs and quiet areas with gorgeous views of the ocean. Not many people know about that because it’s advertised as the walking track, so it’s nice that it’s still somewhat of a secret.
I spent a lot of quiet time on the walking deck, met lots of interesting people and enjoyed quiet sea time. I really enjoyed our inside cabin and all the activities on board.
I did laps on that track back in January. It was my favorite activity of the morning. For those concerned about ocean views, the Solarium (adults only) is a great area to look into. Also, the Wind Jammer buffet had nice views and are a lot better than the main dining room in my opinion. Seeing empty ocean doesn't hold my interest for very long, so I didn't miss the views, but I understand people that do. I used the entertainment areas at night, and views of darkness wouldn't hold my interest very long.
I actually prefer the Oasis-class ships for this very reason. If I want to see the ocean, I just go to deck 16. Oasis-class ships are intended to be a floating resort, so on sea days you’re completely distracted by on board activities. I love the ocean, don’t get me wrong. But I don’t need to see it 100% of the time. It’s the trade-off you get with the “neighborhood” concept. My bigger concern with Royal Caribbean is the poor quality of included food. Celebrity is suffering exactly the same issues with their food also.
My wife and I have cruised exclusively on Celebrity in recent years, including the Edge last November and of course their philosophy is just the opposite- to be outward facing. What you described would drive us absolutely nuts for all the reasons you cited. Thank you so much for highlighting this issue. You guys make great videos.
My husband and I were on Symphony in September. We noticed the lack of sea views right away because our favorite thing to do is find a comfy seat and watching the ocean go by out the window. We HATED Symphony for this reason and won’t go on it again. We think it is designed to be an inward facing ship with all of the fun things inside. We prefer an outward facing ship with lots of seating inside and out! We recently sailed on the Celebrity Apex and LOVED all the views of the ocean on that ship! (However, much of the seating was horribly uncomfortable, but that’s another story!)
OMG!!! Water, water everywhere, but not for you to see(sea)😢! They missed the boat 🛶 when they designed this ship. I even felt claustrophobic when you gave us the tour. Our greatest joy cruising is sitting on our veranda or in the library or the panorama lounge staring at the ocean and all its grandeur. You’re right, it felt like a huge mall or Vegas hotel not knowing if it’s day or night. Thank you for your insights. As always, Sandra
There are currently 5 Disney cruise ships, Magic, Wonder, Dream, Fantasy and Wish, with 2 more currently being built plus another is going to be built next year.
@@sherrjo not quite sure why you’re getting so defensive. Who pissed in your Cheerios today? My point being is that there are views of the sea from both sides of the ship on all of the main decks, restaurants, and bar areas. Do some research next time, dumbass.
This is the very first time I've ever seen/heard someone mention this. I haven't sailed RC yet, but it's definitely something that should be mentioned. I love sea views whether from my balcony, walking the ship, or top deck. Walking around mostly staring at a mall on the sea would be a weird feeling lol.
You can still walk the ship and see the ocean from the top deck and from the jogging track that circles the ship. And from your outside balcony of course. I personally love the open air central areas because you can be outside, without having to be up by the crowded pool areas. I wouldn't want one of those cabins though, even the ones with a balcony. No privacy at all. I think Ben and David made a mistake booking a central park cabin but, it's a review to keep in mind when choosing your own cabin. Beside, these ships are so wide, it would be impossible to have sea view windows in most places. And the promenade is only on one deck out of 16, or so. The entire ship isn't a mall.
I guessed it right off the go! We’ve been on a handful of RC ships and noticed the lack of ocean views in the public areas. However, if you have a balcony cabin then it doesn’t seem like a big problem.
Sorry people...I GOTTA DISAGREE!!! Ive been on 3 Oasis class ships and there are plenty of places with views. If you book an interior balcony then you obviously weren't looking for an ocean view from your room. And only wanted to people watch while you relax on your balcony. There us plenty of seating all the way around the upper deck to taje in the ocean views.
Never ever! Even large new ships like the Celebrity Edge class have lots of sea views (Eden, Sunset Bar, etc), and on any of the smaller ships of almost every line. I agree that much of this design is for keeping families with kids so focused on the interiors where there are shops, restaurants, and activities to spend more money on.
The edge class ships on Celebrity are fantastic. They are larger ships but not that large. I dont think any of them enter the top 50 largest ship category. But they are so much better than this monstrosity.
I agree, but also because the cutouts in the ship made the entire ship much warmer than it would normally be. We had an outside balcony room, and we still had trouble regulating the temperature in the room. Who wants to live in a warm room on a cruise ship touring the Caribbean?
It's interesting to note you brought up the Suite restaurant and lounge. Because when the Oasis of the Seas first debuted (2009), the Viking Crown lounge was open to all cruisers. I remember sitting up there watching some of the cast of Hairspray (which was originally on the Oasis) doing various Broadway numbers (it was a great show). Allure also had the Viking Crown open to all cruisers when it first debuted and they did a show up there with the cast of Chicago (which was on Allure when it first sailed). It was only later that they converted the Viking Crown into a space exclusively for Suite guests. I am a Pinnacle Crown and Anchor member so I am blessed to be able to use the space. But, you are so right -- the WORST thing that Royal Caribbean ever did was to eliminate the Viking Crown Lounge on the Oasis and Quantum class of ships. BRING BACK THE VIKING CROWN!!!!
Thank you for that info. I never thought about it but it makes sense by the way it’s designed that there would be very little sea view areas. You saved us from making a mistake because we love our sea view sitting areas around the ship (it’s important to us ) so thanks again
To be honest my best friend would love this ship. She's somewhat afraid of the ocean but we and a few other friends are planning a cruise and she wants to come along since she's never been on a cruise before. She'd probably feel more at ease knowing she didn't have to constantly look over the ocean and could feel secure in the middle of a ship that looks more like a mall. Now that I've seen this video I'm actually more inclined to choose Symphony for our girls trip to help my friend feel as ease since I've been on many a cruise before.
I prefer to be on one of the older, smaller ships. The highlights for me are a sea view in the cabin and various areas of the ship. Also I love watching as we sail in to a new port.I think that's exciting.I would find these huge inward looking ships a bit confining, even though Its interesting to see what they are like inside.I don't mind having less shops and restaurants, and having more spectacular views. We always enjoy watching your videos.
Couldn’t agree more!! The lack of ocean views (the whole point of cruising!!) is the entire reason I have no desire to cruise with RCCL. That and too many children 😬😂
I just returned from a 7 night on Harmony of the seas. I came across your video by chance and you nailed it!! There was something missing and it was the sea views!! You two are fantastic.
The thing I love most about the NCL Breakaway class is the Waterfront - outdoor dining, outdoor bars, walking and couches & chairs. Even though I had a balcony, I spent a great deal of time on the Waterfront reading and looking at the ocean. When the sun was too low, I just moved to the other side in the shade.
Hi Ben and David, We have always kind of wondered what it would be like to be on a ship of that size but all the points that you have brought out in the videos cement the decision not to even try the larger ships. To many people. It would feel like just going to the Mall of America. We love the ocean also and want to see it as much as possible. Many good points to think about before making a decision. That is what I really like about your videos is that you tell the good the bad and the ugly. Thanks again you two.
Great Video. My favorite part of cruising was watching the sea and everything go by. I will take this into consideration when choosing a ship. As always great Job love you guys!!
We sailed on Vision in March and the first thing we noticed was all the windows. The Schooner Bar had beautiful views as well as MDR. The older ships have more of a nautical theme instead of mall/resort scene. The Oasis ships have alot to do but we prefer the smaller ships!
Perfect example of "Bigger is not always better". About the suites comment, it reminded me of a Cruise we took on NCL Epic. There was nowhere you could walk around the ship outside and see the front, nor was there a place to be able to see a 180° view as this section at the front was exclusively for their suites, I forget the name of this class. Frankly I was put out by this, especially when we were sailing between Sardinia and Corsica.
On my one and only (so far) Royal Caribbean cruise I noticed this too. Last October I took a transatlantic cruise on Anthem of the Sea from Southampton to Liberty, NJ. Several times I told my spouse it felt like we were in a mall rather than a cruise ship. We were so happy we booked a balcony room. We sat on our balcony for hours just watching and listening to the sea (which was the main reason for taking a mostly sea-day cruise. When we book another cruise we will likely not book Royal Caribbean again, as almost all their ships have the same mall-like design thinking
Ben and David, think about it. The cruise line has raised the number of balcony and view rooms by 50%. Not ocean view or balcony ocean view, but created an opportunity to charge more per room. It is all about the $$$$$.
I love looking at the ocean when we go on a cruise, we find it so relaxing just sitting with a drink be it alcohol or coffee and watching the beautiful ocean. Wouldn't book a cruise without it sorry.
I totally agree! Last night I was talking with my girlfriend about this very issue! Unless you have an ocean view stateroom it is next to impossible to view the ocean. If I am on a cruise I absolutely love to sit and watch the ocean go by. This is why I love the smaller ships from Royal Caribbean such as the Radiance Class. Give me a seat and a window and I am one happy cruiser.
Great video, and that is honestly why we don't like RCL as much as other lines simply because feel of always being inside and no windows showing the outside.
Hey Ben and David. Wow guys. Now that you mention it about the sea views, you’re right. One thing I thought odd on the Allure was all the parties were on the promenade indoors and I’m accustomed to deck parties outdoors which are brought indoors or cancelled re:weather. It was jam packed. Great insight. Thanks so much and see you next video.
I would go berserk not seeing the horizon for the majority of my cruise. It's why I love Celebrity's cruise ships so much. Our last cruise on the Beyond and the outdoor spaces are so beautiful (especially the rooftop garden and the rear facing Sunset bar and ALLLL the niche places to sit and enjoy the view). Every deck has views to the outside so even if it's raining we can still SEE the SEA. I would be so sad on a long cruise without windows everywhere.
Hey Ben & David! My wife and I talked to you 2 after you won the name that tune game on Symphony during the transatlantic to Spain :) Great to meet you both finally! One top secret place to hang out and have a nice view of the sea... is down on the jogging track.... there is a little side nitch that has a few chairs to sit and watch the sea :)
Really don't think it's for me. The whole point of going on a cruise...for me anyway....is to enjoy the sea as much as enjoying the ship. If I can't see the sea, I would rather just stay on land. Great video guys 🙂
I’ve noticed this before on newer RC ships . Well this would probably put me off booking one of them considering they aren’t cheap either . I definitely love looking outwards when I’m relaxing with a good book , just walking around or eating a meal so thanks for speaking about this 😉.
We love to see the ocean going by from the big windows in the ship. At restaurants, we always prefer to be next to a window. Our favorite class is the Royal Class ships from Princess - windows in all of the restaurants. Thanks for the review.
Love your videos guys. Went on Allure for first cruise last year and loved our balcony over Central Park. Was quiet with peaceful music coming from an area within in. Loved the trees and flowers and the living wall - who knew you’d get that on a ship.
I disagree. First, there are lots of places you can see the sea on the top deck. Second, when I booked my cruise on Oasis class ships, it's because of all the thrills. Because of their size, they ended up doing the same itinerary all the time anyway. Clearly if you are crossing on these, you can cruising for the facilities. If you are cruising for the scenery and destinations you pick a smaller ship which can go into more interesting ports.
Never thought about that before - having been on Harmony and Wonder, when I got on MSC's World Europa I thought how much it felt like a cruise ship. I think this video just crystalises my thoughts. The aft of World Europa, where the aquatheatre is on Oasis ships, is all open with glass railings and lots of big lounge seating. It's a lovely spot on the ship. Up top at the aft it has a stepped layout with lots of sun loungers during the day and seating throughout. Down below, the World class have windows out along decks 6 and 7 for instance in the Pizza and Burger bar, the chocolate bar and the Raj Polo Tea House. Love the Oasis class and this video has made me realise the World class really give Royal a good run for their money. Great video!
Omg you’re so correct! I got off the Allure OTS and didn’t feel as connected to the ocean. It wasn’t the first time I had an interiors room as well. I remember going on Adventure, Independence, and Enchantment and was able to sit in the 5 deck and watch the ocean sitting at Boleros. Now that you brought it up, I can definitely see it now and it can’t be unseen. thank you so much to bring this up!!
Love seeing the sea; love a proper promenade that we can walk all way around and see the wake. I also like seeing moon at night and sunsets too. I even bought the NCL shirt that said: let the sea set you free
I completely agree! I was on the Oasis and thought the same! Luckily I had a balcony but I would like to eat and look at the sea. I enjoyed celebrity cruise sunset bar at the back of the ship. A bar and could also come out from the buffet. Very nice!
i havent been on a cruise before but this is something i didnt think to consider that would absolutely bother me if i were to try it, once you mentioned it i realized thats what has been bothering me about the look of these ships, it feels too much like a floating mall, rather than a relaxing adventure, i feel like it might be even worse if the sun isnt out
It's for this exact reason we won't go on any of these class of ships again. We love ships that create focus outwards towards the ocean, and offer decks where you can completely walk around the outside of the ship.
It does matter since you are surrounded by water and you're paying a lot of money not to see it. Thanks for pointing this out so I can reconsider booking this cruise despite its newness and size.
Thank you for this great insight. I cruise to see the sea and be outside feeling the breeze. This type of ship wouldn’t be anything I would ever travel on!
I was on the same ship in December and thought the same thing. It was also too big with too many people, almost 6000 guests! Will never go on one like that again.
That sounds awful. We cruise specifically for the sea views, and one of the highlights is meals overlooking the water. I can't imagine a leisurely buffet breakfast without being able to look out over the water.
I’ve been sorry to see the past few videos of symphony of the seas. This has been my go to ship for over 20 cruises. You say you’re not complaining, but it definitely sounds like complaining. Then when I read the comments, I see how it turns off so many cruisers to the ship. I don’t mind not seeing the ship 24 hours a day. I do have a balcony where I can sit and look at the water anytime I want. There is so much more to cruising. I love meeting the people from all over the world, and hearing their stories. if I want to sit and have a coffee and look out over the water, I go to the solarium or the 16th deck. I love them both. By the same token, sometimes I like to sit in the promenade, and just watch the people. By the way, I have had a boardwalk room and I loved it. I travel alone, and I enjoy sitting out there, watching everyone, checking out the aqua theater, watching the zip liners, and still feel the outdoor weather. Obviously, everyone likes some thing different. And that’s a good thing. this is what I think Royal Carribean is so great at. They have something for everyone. As I talk to people, I find that everyone has that special some thing that they really enjoy. I may not like it but it’s their vacation too. I especially like your videos when you’re trying something new, like food, attractions, and shows. You are absolutely right though about if you want to see the ocean constantly, the ship may not be for you. But keep in mind that there may be other times of the day that you want to do something else. Happy, cruising.
This is why we were one and done with these mega ships. Our cruise, on Allure of The Seas made us feel the exact same way. We have been on 30 cruises, and that is the only cruise where I could not wait to get off the ship. Never again.
How about a little cheese to go with that “wine”! We usually go on the Oasis Class ships. We never missed seeing the sea. There are several areas to observe the ocean. That’s why they designed it to where most of the cabins have balconies.
What i missed on my last couple of cruises is the promenade deck and being able to walk laps. I met so many people doing this as they relaxed on the deck chairs, as i did my daily walks after breakfast. I find the top deck track is for the fitness nuts not a relaxed social walk. Yes give me sea views.
Sailed on RCL Oasis of the Sea the week of April 23th we were so disappointed, there were over 6800 people on board, its was horrible, packed in a windowless floating can like sardines! Our dining room experience and the new menu was the worse! The service staff was over stretched and fell short in many ways.{every way}. The Aqua Show was great but it took 3 attempts to see it. We waited for a year to take this vacations, it was expensive and the quality was just not there. We are not giving up on cruising, already planing for 2024 but will NOT be purchasing another Royal Caribbean cruise. I do appreciate you being honest with your reviews, in hind sight if I had seen the videos on RCL before booking our cruise I would have chosen another cruise line, RCL is just not for us.
Oh my goodness - I’m in the process of putting together a video on this exact topic - I thought it felt like a ship that was designed to not be a ship - SO strange and unexpected!

I agree 100%. You couldn't give me a free cruise on one of these mega ships. I bet embarkation and debarkation day must be a nightmare.
@Creative Infusion I too, hate shopping, except online. I will NOT go on a boat where all the company really wants is more of our money!

Imagine how it must feel for crew on these ships. We are all delicate plants and sunshine is a key factor in our survival 🌿
Ben and David: You don't know whether its day or night!
Royal Caribbean: You're Welcome! 😅
Wow, between this, the crowded dining rooms, and the bad food… It just sounds awful.
The food is terrible. I disembarked from the WOS last Sunday and the food in the MDR and the Windjammer was terrible.
It's all by design to keep you distracted from the ocean and spend, spend and blend into the vessel you're upon
That is crazy! I would hate it. We love sitting and watching the water.
I love to sit and look out at the sea, too! I don’t know if these larger ships are for me.
Disney Cruise Line does this extremely well. I love that we’re never far from getting some views of the sea.
So does Royal Caribbean with Jewel, Rhapsody, Brilliance, Serenade, Vision, Radiance, Enchantment, Grandeur. How many Disney ships are there?
There are currently 5 Disney cruise ships, Magic, Wonder, Dream, Fantasy and Wish, with 2 more currently being built plus another is going to be built next year.
Well with Disney there should be views of the ocean, especially with the price one pays for a Disney cruise
You do know that OASIS ships have 1320 SEA VIEW balconies? Many times more than Disney ships. Do some research before posting next time.
@@sherrjo not quite sure why you’re getting so defensive. Who pissed in your Cheerios today? My point being is that there are views of the sea from both sides of the ship on all of the main decks, restaurants, and bar areas. Do some research next time, dumbass.
REALLY good to know. It took me only about 15 seconds to figure it out--well done!
When we cruise, we always get a balcony because we love to watch the sea. ❤
Oasis class ship literally have 100s of sea facing balconies. You can choose one if you want.
Celebrity edge a large ship? It's half the size of this one.
Very informative - thanks!
I just had a conversation about this yesterday, thank you for a great post
We couldn't agree more. Outer-facing venues create an openness and feeling of relaxation malls don't offer. Well done.
Thank you for that info. I never thought about it but it makes sense by the way it’s designed that there would be very little sea view areas. You saved us from making a mistake because we love our sea view sitting areas around the ship (it’s important to us ) so thanks again
It's missing the only thing I actually go cruising for! To see the sea. I could watch it for hours!
Totally agree with you we love just sitting and look at the gorgeous sea views
Excellent observation. Thanks for pointing it out!
I just returned from a 7 night on Harmony of the seas. I came across your video by chance and you nailed it!! There was something missing and it was the sea views!! You two are fantastic.
Thank you for the insight 💙
and those balcony cabins looking inside are absolutely horrendous. Hell on earth
The darkness is a deal breaker. I don't want to look inside. I like that you pointed it out.
Good to know this, a balcony would be a must for me on this ship
I felt the same on allure. Where the hell is the water?
literally about to board the allure
Perfect example of "Bigger is not always better". About the suites comment, it reminded me of a Cruise we took on NCL Epic. There was nowhere you could walk around the ship outside and see the front, nor was there a place to be able to see a 180° view as this section at the front was exclusively for their suites, I forget the name of this class. Frankly I was put out by this, especially when we were sailing between Sardinia and Corsica.
This is one of the reasons I hesitate to sail with NCL, I have heard they block off a lot of good space for suite only sections.
Thanks for this video. Definitely something to think about before booking this ship.
Thanks for this information! That's one aspect of a ship I never thought about! Great Video idea!
Wow! You are the first one to mention this! Thank goodness we got a cabin with ocean view balcony.
Ben and David, think about it. The cruise line has raised the number of balcony and view rooms by 50%. Not ocean view or balcony ocean view, but created an opportunity to charge more per room. It is all about the $$$$$.
100%. It does feel like a mall. A mall with great food and activities and fun, but a mall. Great content.
I love the Observation Lounge on NCL. Nothing but beautiful windows and views of the sea!
🎯🎯🎯
Norwegian ships are absolutely the best for views. Their observation space is spectacular.
Being at sea is the best thing about being onboard I could sit for hours watching the sea it's just beautiful and peaceful x
I agree with you 100% about the windows/sea views.
I agree with you !
The vast, beautiful ocean views mean everything to me !
Quite agree with you! I love the sea which is why I started cruising a couple of years ago. It looks so claustrophobic!!
I completely agree! I was on the Oasis and thought the same! Luckily I had a balcony but I would like to eat and look at the sea. I enjoyed celebrity cruise sunset bar at the back of the ship. A bar and could also come out from the buffet. Very nice!
i havent been on a cruise before but this is something i didnt think to consider that would absolutely bother me if i were to try it, once you mentioned it i realized thats what has been bothering me about the look of these ships, it feels too much like a floating mall, rather than a relaxing adventure, i feel like it might be even worse if the sun isnt out
Thank you for bringing this up, this would definitely be a deal breaker for me...x
It's for this exact reason we won't go on any of these class of ships again. We love ships that create focus outwards towards the ocean, and offer decks where you can completely walk around the outside of the ship.
Honestly such a good point. If im paying to be on a ship in the middle of the ocean, i shouldnt have to search so much for views of the sea.
I was on the Allure.... I never could put my finger on what was wrong. Now I know... Ben is right.
I think I’d hate it . Thank you for talking about this 😮
It does matter since you are surrounded by water and you're paying a lot of money not to see it. Thanks for pointing this out so I can reconsider booking this cruise despite its newness and size.
Thanks!
Thank you for this great insight. I cruise to see the sea and be outside feeling the breeze. This type of ship wouldn’t be anything I would ever travel on!
Completely agree with you that views of the sea are a bit part of the experience. For most of your video it looked like you were in a shopping mall.
Totally agree! Sea air is so, so wonderful❣️
This would put me off Cruising on this ship. I started to feel Cabin Fever set in watching this video.
Y'all are rockstars! A 14 minutes about windows and i watched every second!!
