Well Teus01, it was well worth the long wait since your last video ! This is so smooth, and considering the amount of mass rotating here there is very little vibration evident, very impressive the way it happily runs even at low RPM, it will be nice to see how it flies ! Happy New Year to you, Chris B.
Thanks Chris, only need to practice to keep the autofocus more controlled. This engine is a real beauty and build very robust for regular use on the model. As you say the model likes this one much more than the old ZG-38 with gear drive that was fitted before due to the non vibrations anymore. Low rpm's are around 1250 and high around 2600 with a 32x18 prop.
@@Teus01 : 1250 RPM is really low for a small engine, it really does look very steady at those revs, and sounds very nice as well, I suppose the rotating mass gives a vey good flywheel effect at low revs, I would like to see this excellent model flying, will you be putting up a flying video of it ? Chris B.
I will make off course a flying video of this model Chris, but you can already watch this one, ruclips.net/video/FpFpmcuVWug/видео.html made by me from another friends Pup with the same UML 160 rotary engine flying at our last Dawn Patrol meeting. Teus.
Beautiful model with a beautiful engine!
So glad to see a scale rotary! I expect it to have the same wicked tendencies as the original. Hello from Texas.
Now THAT'S an engine!
Much better throttle control than the full size engine! What is the power output?
@@PhilipSiddall No idea, we never measured…… But for sure it is not a powerhouse……

Teus.
Sehr schönes Modell, binn schon gespannt auf das Maiden. Dieses Jahr kommen mein Sohn und ich auch zum Dawn Patrol meeting! Gruß Armin
What does the tiny little propeller on the wing support do?
It's a wind driven fuel pump to supply gasoline to the engine. I doubt it's functional on the model and is just a scale detail of the actual aircraft.
It’s a Rotherham air pump. It pumps 2-5 psi into the pressurized fuel tank.
Amazing airplane!!!
Prachtige geluid! Graag bij Acf invliegen:))
Vlad, dat gaat waarschijnlijk ook gebeuren :-)
Kind of sounds like an R6 diesel when revved
Where is the flight video?
Possible this year, keep posted.
