This museum is a MUST see for ANY car enthusiast. 👍 If you get a chance to go make sure to tour the Corvette plant next door, which is the only plant in the world to make the Corvette! 😉
I’ve been to the National corvette museum in October 2014 March 2017 and august 2019 for my 50th birthday on the way to the Bristol night nascar race all 3 trips were great
Most excellent Tim. I have always wanted to go there and haven't had the chance yet. Always been a Corvette fan and 10 years of my career was restoring and modifying Corvettes at a Corvette shop. Worked on a lot of C1 and C2 Vettes. Thanks for showing this.
Wow corvette Heaven lot of awesome and beautiful corvettes.that is sad all the beautiful cars and so much damage. Thank you for sharing. As always you did a awesome job.
I moved to bowling green recently and the museum is just about 15 minutes away from me and I go every chance I get. I will definitely have to take the assembly plant tour in the near future
I was there with my 1977 Corvette it's a very cool place and I was really heart broken over the Corvette's that went in the sink hole because some of them could never be fixed ever and no I never took the Corvette plant tour because they where working on the plant at the time I was there and yes I am a member of the museum and of NCRS too and I am related to Louie Chevrolet I got some very old pitchers of him all I ve seen of him there is a bronze bust
Awesome!!! Thanks for taking us together in this museum tour Tim. That picture is so cool. Great info shared also. Thanks for sharing, take care and keep up the good work my friend.
This museum is amazing. I do remember the sink hole incident. I would love to get to see this place . You did a good video , very interesting. Mike Espo .
I haven't been there since before the cave in. Never did get over to the assembly plant. I may go back this fall. It's about a 6 hour drive. What the Grand Ole Opry is to country music that museum is to Corvette fans.
I drive by here on I-65 South/North at least once a week. I see the yellow building with the red pointy like thing sticking up, but I never stopped though. I think I will if I get some free time. Plus I go to Franklin KY alot and it's only 25 miles away.
Hey, Tim! Thanks for posting this very cool video about your latest visit the Corvette museum. What a great layout they've got there. I remember the sinkhole incident. Heartbreaking to see some of those beauties in the aftermath condition they were recovered in. Whenever I travel, I like to catch a car museum. Closer to home for me in Europe, I've been able to go the Mercedes, BMW, Lamborghini and Ferrari museums, and my favourite - the Porsche museum in Stuttgart (yearly pilgrimage). Sharing your passion for cars! From Switzerland - Andrew 🍁
Thank you Andrew...... 🙂 Those museums sound really cool that you have been to. And I bet the Porsche museum is really neat as I'm sure it would be a favorite of mine too! My favorite and (yearly stop) is the Indianapolis 500 Motor Speedway museum.
@@THROTTLEPOWER We're currently on a vacation road trip through my wife's home country of Austria and tomorrow we're visiting the tiny village of Gmund to see the original site of Ferdinand Porsche's enterprise. The very small museum is privately owned and run by an enthusiast who has amassed quite an impressive collection over the years. I'd love to see the Indy 500 museum too. Can never get enough, right? 😎
I love museums too....... I've never been to the Air Force museum in Georgia but want to go some time. Have you been to the Air Force museum in Dayton, Ohio?
@@THROTTLEPOWER oh yes o have been to Wright Patterson more times than I can count my favorite museum my dad started taking me there as a kid I took my kids several times now I have been taking my grandkids
Very nice tour Tim, I'm sure the working factory was even more impressive watching the actual assembly (like full size plastic model kits). I remember the sink hole incident. It's a shame what it did to some of those original votes.
Did Matchbox cars just blow up into real life? This is SO cool. And that unclean race car feels like a game-worn baseball jersey with dirt stains. Glad to join your team!
Oh yes, Plant Tour is at least same high level than museum - depends on personal preferences. Anyway you should book it in advance, 'cause they are soon sold out. And consider: Plant Tour are only on work days.
@@THROTTLEPOWER I got thru it, nice you got to visit, I was heart broken 💔 seeing those vettes gobbled up that morning. My kinda place being I'm Corvette crazy myself.

I'm a short 30 minute drive from the museum and I have yet to visit it.
I need to get out more!
@@MasteringTheModel You will enjoy and go thru the Corvette plant. Really cool watching them get built.
Great stuff tim love how it's showing display shops and then the race corvette section
