Omg this perfect! This is exactly what I was looking for! I was so turned around on other videos of the layout of the wish! The way you showed the map with the area you were talking about highlighted, made it so much easier to follow!
Absolutely a huge MAHALO for a great walkthrough-video with commentary, details of locations... Just perfect. We have been trying to piece together all we can before our cruise with help from multiple cruise groups so I was so happy we could share your video. Think we all can agree on some of the negatives, but your video has helped to give us back a bit of the positive excitement. FYI: If one of the Tink Sconces happens to go missing I had nothing to do with that...
@@pefimoff I would highly suggest you take a look at many of the reviews either via YT or cruise groups specifically to the Disney Wish as I don't believe I can articulate all of the points and there were some that I disagree with after cursing on the Wish. That being said here are a few that I recall and agree with. -The adult area "pool" is a joke. A small often crowded human soup bowl is the best description. -Both Palo and Echante are small and a bit cramped for what they are trying to sell. -Palo >>> Enchante -Just call it Steakhouse because the Palo name no longer fits. -Corridors are confusing and it is easy to get lost. Signs were still being added or changed so might improve... -Bars and lounges were spread out and with the layout issue you would always come across folks that were lost. Also this has the opposite effect of the adult only pool that is placed far away from kids. Now kids are going to cross paths with adults that are drinking. Caught a few kids trying to steal a drink that was placed just outside of the Bayou lounge. Oops -No continuous outside path (Deck 4 on all the other ships). -Very unfriendly for folks in wheelchairs or those with walking issues. Saw someone point out the irony being that the Godmother of the ship is the Make a Wish kids..ouch -Bunch of stuff about the elevator. Locations, lack of working elevators, etc. It's a beautiful ship but after being on a few sails on the Wish I understand why folks are saying "one and done".
I love the atrium design and the kids club makes even me envious. I do think the stateroom colors may look dated in few years and I wish there were more plants, but otherwise it looks nice.
I'm glad you mentioned the water features that are suposed to go with the video screens that would make a big difference to me in the quality of this "attraction".
@@PopularCruising Now having watched this I definitely agree there are some less than ideal parts, however I am very impressed with just how different the Wish is from the fleet. It’s going to be amazing exploring the new venues and activities. One particular thing I’m very excited for is the Hero Zone, because I’ve played ping pong, basketball, and dodgeball outside on the upper decks of the other ships and it is miserable with the wind, especially at night. Can’t wait to sail on the Wish!
Loved the video! Went through a ton of Disney Wish videos looking for a tour/review like this so thank you! Your voice is very soothing lol almost sounds like a computer but in a good way lol would love a video on the plant based/vegan options on the Disney Wish! My family is going next May!
Thank you for your review of the Wish. I'm going next year in June and have been watching anything on the ship. Your review of your room is helpful as I was debating on buying an adapter to add USB plugs for my electronics but since it is only me going and I'll have more than enough space. As for your reviews of the dining halls, I've added your recommendations to my picks from menus that have been posted online. You picked some that I was interested in and I added some more of your picks to my list. Thanks again.
Great coverage of the ship! Sadly I do just feel a bit underwhelmed with the ship. I just feel like they had opportunities to add some new ideas that we haven’t seen on other Disney ships. For the adults it just doesn’t seem like there’s that much unless you like lounging and drinking only. I feel like that was lost. The avengers dining experience would be better if there was a bit more interaction. I genuinely thought they’d deliver some magic with the quantum machine in the middle of a table. What a magical experience it would be for you to place some kind of small toy food into it and then it close and boom. Your entrée. Grown. Idk. It’s absolutely a beautiful ship. But I do miss a bit of the things from the old one. The glass elevator with drawings in it, mini golf, just some different things to do for the kid at heart as well. Kids areas do look top notch on this.
I didn’t even realize they took out the gold, but then again, this video was all about the interior. I didn’t see any outdoor walking tours except for the adult areas and main pool deck.
I'm a 50 year old father of two teenage girls and I don't drink alcohol at all. Even on the Wonder I find plenty of fun things to do on a Disney cruise. The Wish has so much more to offer for adults. Disney was wise to limit Wish sailings to 3 and 4 night itineraries only. It will be impossible for you to do everything on a single sailing. For example, just going to each dining venue plus Enchante. If you find yourself bored on this ship it speaks more about you than it does about the Wish.
It was Uncharted Adventures and it was part of the DCL app. You get to explore the ship and do a bunch of interactive and augmented reality things through the game as you explore. Pretty fun! My favorite was what was hidden in Hook’s Barbery. 😉
I've noticed the 3 horns/speaker things to either side of each funnel. But I've always wondered, do they actually do anything? Or are they there for decoration?
@@PopularCruising I thought the melodic horns come from a speaker (on Dream and Fantasy) on the forward funnel. I may be wrong, but that is what I've heard.
You forgot to include a lap around the signature Disney Cruise Line fully wraparound Promenade Deck which is a beloved feature of the RunDisney community! It's a shame that Disney removed the midship lifts so now there are only two sets of lifts instead of three. At least you won't have to hear from other passengers moaning about how busy those midship lifts always are. Thank you for the deck tours. Palo (Pa-lo) rhymes with follow.
We were on a preview sailing so I’m not sure how it will be normally, but we waited until about 30 min before it opened and put our name on a list for a time later in the evening. They said there was a 40 minute time limit but it wasn’t full when we were there so they let us stay longer.
All of Disney’s original ships were bunker oil fuelled. The Wish is an LNG fuelled ship with two massive LNG tanks located low in the stern of the ship. LNG fuel is stored at -260F. Any leaks would be catastrophic - super cold LNG spills on the ships hull would result in the steel hull fracturing. Any leak would turn to a gas almost immediately resulting in the potential for a massive explosion! On Older bunker oil ships one could probably throw a lit match in the oil only for the flame to be smothered. So LNG ships tolerate no errors while fuelling or operating the ship - too much of a potential risk in my opinion.
There’s 104 days of Disney vacation and guests comes along just to WISH it So the annual problem for our generation is finding a good way to spend it? LIKE MAYBE 🤔?
Over abundance of places to eat and drink for one cruise experience. Adult pools are disappointing. Quality not quantity is better on a cruise. Being a huge Disney fan with kids is a must to take this cruise.
Not impressed with this ship from what I see on your video. The nostalgic ocean liner theme from Disney's previous ships was perfect. Now sadly this key design element is gone. What's the deal with these newer ships having minimal ocean views from interior spaces. It's as if the management wants you to forget you're on a ship. I'll take a major PASS on this one.
I am really disappointed in the adult area. The loungers have no shade, the only shade is that far back by the bar. Many older people enjoy sitting in the quieter adult area but need the shade. And having smoking in that area completely ruins it. I am allergic to cigarette smoke and I know that there are plenty of people that are sensitive to it that for them to put it so close to a pool/lounge area is a horrible decision. It is like they turned the tranquil adult area into a Carnival cruise like party spot. Bad move Disney.
I do feel like that area is small and cramped too. The Dream and Fantasy seemed more spread out and open, including the pool. I’ve seen a video of people actually using these pools and it was super crowded. Yikes. Oh, and I just realized the smoking section was right above this area. That’s a horrible idea. I’m childless so it makes no sense to use the family pools, but trying to enjoy myself under a toxic, putrid cloud of cigarette smoke is a big NO for me. Terrible planning.

This does not look premium to me. I have been on Oceania and Holland American and Vergin voyages they are cut above Disney for half the price. The perium Disney charges is not value for money. It looks very NCL to me.

Are there height requirements listed yet for the large slides and Aquamouse?
I’m sure there were restrictions listed, but I didn’t note what they were.
I think the ship is a step down visually from Disneys other ships on the exterior
Was it difficult to get a reservation for the Hyperspace lounge and is there a time limit like olga's ?

Given the increase in size and newer build, was the ship more stable than her Disney Cruise predecessors?
We had little movement on our sailing, but the ship felt noticeably solid and stable.
I hope on the next new ships they will do a Star Wars themed restaurant
I think that’s a great idea!
Ooh, that would be sick!
I’m surprised there isn’t a separate guest services area. That area can get crowded quickly
Now there two more sister ships is coming soon in 2024 to 2025
As an adult without kids, the smoking section right over the adult section is a huge deterrent.
It’s certainly an ill-conceived placement, pun intended.
