Been missing the fun videos with you and Max. Happy to see you’re back with the fun and interesting interactions with the locals and the random places you visit. Look forward to more of these ❤😊
Somehow the street coffee tastes the best. Then you have the fancy cafes, and the Vietnamese chains which are all better than Starbucks while being cheaper. Starbucks is the worst tasting coffee in Vietnam because Vietnamese coffee is so good
When you want coffee, pull over anywhere and you’ll find a coffee shop or coffee cart within 50 yards…. Always good, always cheap… and most vendors ( like the lady in this video) are genuinely friendly, appreciative of your business.
Lại gặp 2 chàng tây vui tính tốt bụng rồi,😅😊chúc 2 bạn nhiều sức khỏe nhá,tuyệt vời,nhin cách chị làm ly cafe rất nhành nhẹn chuyên nghiệp,cảm ơn 2 bạn ủng hộ cô❤👍👍
Man, it was hilarious when you asked her, 'Where in Saigon?' and she was like, 'This is Saigon,' lol. I really love both your work and Max's, Chris. I migrated to the US six years ago, and ever since then, there hasn't been a day when I don't miss my hometown, Saigon, where I grew up and spent 20 years of my life. I would watch your videos every day, enjoying the sight of you guys hanging out around town and eating those delicious meals that I crave every day. I would imagine that I'm joining you guys in the video, and it brings me joy and helps ease my homesickness a lot. To me, you and Max already feel like good friends, even though we've never met and are complete strangers. Please know that it would be a pleasure, and I'd be more than happy to meet you guys in real life. I'll be visiting Saigon in four months, and I just can't wait! Anyway, keep up the good work and stay safe! The thing worth being cautious about is the traffic. Make sure you guys stay safe on the streets, and you'll be fine!
Starbucks seems to be doing pretty well in Vietnam, actually. Lots of outlets, and they all seem popular. I"m not a fan of them myself, but it can't be denied that it looks like it's succeeding here. I also wonder why, but that's beside the point. Maybe old-school robusta coffee like in ca phe sua, is too strong/harsh/caffeinated compared to arabica for a lot of people. But what your headline says seems wrong: Starbucks already is working in Vietnam.
My American husband calls it Star Sucks. He hates Star Bucks coffee, and says it's mostly for hoi pollois. I've never been to any Star Bucks in either America or Vietnam. I've tried its coffee though and didn't like it, because it tastes burned. Dunkin coffee tatses some what tart. I haven't tried Wawa coffee but by the look of it, I think it's not as strong as Vietnamese coffee so to me Vietnamese coffee is still number 1.
Starbucks is also expensive as hell. Idk how often you come back to the States, but in my city, an iced coffee of the same size will cost $4.95 (or 112,909 Vietnamese $)
Two great vloggers not only in terms of their content but the joy, knowledge and emotion they bring. I love and miss how truly friendly and helpful the Vietnamese are. We here in the West, except for young children, are just so afraid of making eye contact and talk to one another. Rarely will we find this kind of interaction at Starbucks, even Starbucks that are not busy.
I found Chris is a smart man who always likes to discover everything around himself, especially he can learn how to speak and use another language quickly, which mean he's both intelligent and gifted.....wow, you're number 1 Christ...

Might be eight or ten times more here in FLorida! Looks good, too. Nice comfortable casual location, looks like just the thing on a hot day. Maybe there are only hot days?
Your have such a heart of Gold of compassion n kindness to her I pray 🙏 may God and Universe blessed you both 10x fold of luck 🍀, happiness, prosperity wealth n joy
Starbucks does seem to be working though. Everytime I walk past one in HCMC they are busy and its mostly filled with what looks like local people. Highland (a chain similar to starbucks) is thriving even more and its because they undercut the prices (coffee for 50k rather than 90k)
That's because a part of young people are showing fashion. They think that Starbucks helps them become cool and classy in the eyes of others. Pretty hard to understand. I'm 24 years old and I go to Starbucks only once in my life.
The locals at Starbucks are there so they can take IG pics or show off to others that they are so hip and cool and fashionable hanging out at Starbucks. Pretentious af.
a lot of young people go to coffee shops (not just starbucks) for pictures. Theres one on my street that costs 50k for a cafe sua but they are always busy as the building is very picture friendly - its mostly women go there for the photo@@doodahgurlie
