Thank you Yvette for taking on the black sociologist in the front. I was in a similar situation in the barbershop with a black former elected official and they really don't get it. I talk about data and he was dumbfounded and didn't want to discuss. He was a little older than myself but I had to check him. These peoples are throw backs to the 60s. Nothing wrong with checking them. If the young folk had this info they will get on board. I'm putting it out as much as I can. Don't relent my sister. They are feeling the heat. I'm dedicated what's left of my life to ADOS.
I had an argument with a pork chop preacher that said the reason why Black People were so poor is our "Mind-Set" what an idoit. He also said all we had to do was pray and believe God.

Here's one of the problems as I see it: we absolutely refuse to follow instruction or follow any sort of code. Even the simple request to keep your question - note the request was for questions not commentary - can't even be followed. Second, the older folks in our community can't follow instructions, but demand they be respected for being older...
Lol! ADOS people have a problem following instructions when it’s coming from other ADOS people. But, since the demise of real civil rights leaders, they haven’t lead us anywhere. Some boomers (with absolutely no political common sense) just don’t understand or want to accept the awakening to really get something done. 🤷🏾♂️
Mario Coleman Indeed. It’s funny but a lot of so-called civil rights fighters didn’t support the movements while they were happening. Now we have a bunch of folks saying they were involved with no proof demanding we listen to the right way to do things. No community. No money. Continue to preach the data. Spend more time teaching the youth. They will be the soldiers on the front line advancing the #ADOS movement it will not be the elders.
Inform people how to vote down validated. Do not just say it. Many ADOS do not know how to...including myself.
If the presidential candidates refuse to put forth policies for #ados, don't vote for either. Same with your national house reps & senators.
Down ballot is our state and local candidates.
She explained don't vote for a presidential candidate if they don't have an Agenda for ADOS or you are not happy with! Vote Down ballot for local candidates that are Democrats.

Is there a breakdown for NYC Black community wealth by lineage? I've seen LA, Boston, Miami, NY seem like such a natural choice with it's large Black population.
The criteria should be, being classified as black and able to trace your lineage pre-1965. Is less cost and time consuming.
Being just Black and in this country before 1965 is not specific enough. You have to have at least one person on either side of your family considered to have been a slave; which includes all forms of non-compensated labor. In particular, the folks referenced in the Civil Rights Act of 1866.
@@mr.tellit7551 Yes it is. The vast majority of black people here before that 99% were ADOS. It's a lot easier to verify and prevents the government from eliminating large portions of eligible ADOS by claiming they can't find records from 100's of years ago. After all research and verification cost money that ADOS don't have. The further back you have to research the higher the cost.

Effectively this would limit reparations solely to those people who have lineage that ties them both to slavery in the United States, and the subsequent era of Jim Crow. Any black immigrant who came to the United States voluntarily after slavery would not be eligible to receive reparations."
Having a historical record of also being identified as Negro, Colored, or African American in the United States would be one of the criteria’s met. If these designations are not included along with "Black" then many of my ADOS peeps will not get recognized. My thought is, if the "ADOS fam" knew with certainty that reparations would be given and that the above written criteria had to be met, I bet they would do whatever they had to, to research their tree as far back as they could...even if no one was listed as a "slave". The criteria may need to be tweaked a little, but only being "classified as black and able to trace your lineage pre-1965" is not enough as previously stated.

That criteria to determine if you're ADOS is so stupid. Labelling oneself something doesn't make you that thing, meaning just because someone says they're Black doesn't mean they are. It should be can you trace you ancestry past 1865 in America.
