Definately a grade 1 but its like having the mickey mantle rookie card in a psa 1: itll indefinately hold its value sealed-up.

He just reminded me of the legendary Robbie Strachan who felt the need to write his name on the covers of his comics 😱
Oh the horror , and he had a ponderous collection of 50s -60d DC comics .
They must have been passed around a lot , the ones i got ahold of were in good to fine shape , except for the blasted ink 😤😫

Amazing Fantasy #15 is the holy grail of marvel comics and X-Men#1 1963 would be second best for marvel comics.

To think my exhusband had comic book boxes full of mint comics in plastic going back to old original Ripleys,Superman, etc every comic in the series hed collect. Thousands he started collecting in the late 50s. I tried going through 1 box but didnt know what # or series i was looking for. A local comic shop had burned down and lost their inventory and was willing to buy them. I couldnt give them any info being uneducated on old ,mint comics.

These appraisers need to advise getting their comics graded by a reputable company.

Heritage Auctions can give you an approximate appraisal just from some scans that you send them. I've tried it, it's free. At least a person can have some idea as to value before they sell something and wind up basically giving it away.
