He's a young struggling quarterback, butI will give Wilson big time credit for making one of the most difficult throws you'll you ever you will ever see since the football is completely wet because the ball is not changed during the two-minute drill and he threw a dime across his body on the run, 8:29 and despite all of his issues, that throw illustrates why he was drafted second overall.

He plays everything so tight to the line and gives Zack way too many checkdown options. They need to come out and aggressively go after the mid range, and tell the kid to throw a long ball or two when he sees someone defended by a corner with no safety help on a go route. Tell him he doesn't even need to hit the pass, just put it up and make the receiver go get it. It just baffles me how he's clearly played better when they're spreading the wide outs throughout the different levels but limiting his checkdown options (i.e. those final two pass plays in regulation). They need to utilize slants and quick hits to the wide outs early, establish that deep shot or two, and make the defenses respect the pass. When you don't, and you're running it on first down or throwing the ball so it's caught behind the line of scrimmage on 80% or more of your first downs, it's going to be hard to establish the ground game. Now to be fair, that's also due to our already underwhelming, and now deeply damaged, offensive line. If somehow we could have that line with Mawaii and Elliot with the rest of this offense, they would be one of the most explosive offenses in the the league...even with Zack Wilson at QB. Cuz maybe then Hackett wouldn't be pussyfooting so much with his playcalling. Wilson's got a long way to go, but I think he's actually shown a lot of grit and capability thus far, even if his decision making and situational awareness needs to get much better. He goes through his progressions when he actually has the protection to do so, keeps his eyes downfield when he's flushed out of the pocket, and he has shown flashes of a very strong arm with some tight window accuracy to boot. I feel like Hackett is not adapting his scheme to the positives this kid has shown, and is still operating under his "Just Play Safe Till Aaron Gets Back" mode. Even with the offensive line issues, they have to allow Breece and Garrett and their other potential game breakers to see the ball get into their hands in space. And beyond the playcalling, the less explosive but veteran guys like Lazard and Cobb need to catch the ball when it's within reason. Too many drops when this dude's rifled one into a tight spot because they don't have their hands out in front or they start to make a move before they've cleanly made the catch. I'll make a bold and potentially unpopular statement that this year, unlike the last two, Zack Wilson has not been the problem and lost us games. He's actually done just enough with a dumpster fire of a coaching (coordinator) job to somehow keep us on the playoff radar. He's not winning us games. Until it's really do-or-die, that is...and that's a really positive thing to see. I still think he'll benefit from sitting behind Rodgers for a year and learning more from him, but I definitely see viable long term potential in him that was non-existent these last 2 years.

Zach played okay for the rain. He missed throws probably cause of rain. His receivers dropped balls. Penalty’s and drop backs killed us too. But in the end, he brought us to FG range and we went to OT
He has 1 or 2 good drives a game. If the defense wasnt out of this world, he would be benched long ago. But that 1 drive mostly wins it. He leads all 2021 QBs in comebacks
The Jets' play selection was poor. Not enough deep throws by Zach. More deep throws would open up the short game. His game tying and winning drives were Zach throwing the deep ball, which he didn't do at all prior in the game.
