- This shows how United we were back in 1942 about World War II
Abbott and Costello themed cartoon, with Tweety. Tweety was also known as Tweety Bird , Tweety Pie , and just plain old Tweety.
This IS the FIRST Tweety appearance.
This was my favorite cartoon when I was younger! I used to have this on tape and I watched it over and over! Omgah! I am so glad it's on RUclips!!!!!
Catstello: "HEY BABBIT! OH BABBIT! BABBIT!"
Babbit: "What's the matter now?"
Catstello: "I'm afraid of the dark."
Babbit: "Well, I'll let you out then."
BEWWWWWW!
Babbit: "Give me the bird! Give me the bird!"
Catstello (to the audience): "If the Hays Office would only let me, I'd give him da boid alright! (whistles)"
CaptKundalini hahaha by the time I saw this is the vid was in perfect timing !
Although it was made in the 40s this is one of the very first cartoons I remember watching back in the very early 90s while in my nans. Good times. They don't make cartoons like they used to. Awesome!
Hahaha. this is my favorite cartoon. Me and My dad watched this all the time and laughed everytime. Classic!
This NEVER gets old! I remember buying the video cassettes for these in the early 90's with my mom and can't wait to go home and watch cartoons at night and get a major laugh fix. :)
I love how when you're a kid and you watch these, they don't make sense until you're older
I'm 52 and I absolutely adore these Abbott & Costello parody cartoons.
Still laughing!!!!!! I remember this from my childhood! I loved it that Tweety is much meaner and sadistic in his early incarnation. He became insufferably sweet later on.
This cartoon was on a VHS tape I had that was called the greatest cartoons of all time or something like that. It also had "All that and wabbit stew" which is one of the censored 11.
over 10 years I've been looking for this.!!!! .. O.O
this is the funniest cartoon ive ever seen1
i first saw it at around six and havent seen it since. im 15 now. thanks for puttin this up.*****
Tweety's debut is an all time classic, paired with Abbott and Costello Kitties no less! LMFAO.
Thanks!
PUT OUT THOSE LIGHTS!
I. Think. It's. Funny, when. Tweetie. Bird. Yells, "put. Out. Those. Lights"!
"Aren't you ashamed?"
"I dunno."
That's a joke between my husband and I now! LOVE this one!
I definitely remember this little short. I used to watch this one all the time. It's an absolute classic. It's to my understanding that those two cats bare strong resemblence to some other characters whose names I can't seem to recall.
I've got this thing on VHS, what an awesome cartoon...kids don't know what good cartoon are these days.
I love this one, its old but one of the best!
I have been search for this literally for 4 years! finally!!
Classic days! best show ever!
"Break it up puddy tats, break it up." :dies: I've been wanting to see this again for the longest time. Thanks for bringing me back to my childhood~
wow now this is what you call cartoons. This is the wacky, crazy, funny cartoons kids should be watching and living up as their childhood.
This Ette pitty went to market
(BABBEEEEEEET!)
This Ette pitty stayed home
(BABBEEEEEEET!)
This Ette pitty cooked rosted beef
(BABBEEEEEEET!)
Well what do ya know, I ran out of pitties!
😆
Babbit: "Give me the bird! Give me the bird!"
Yacko: "We'd love to really, but the Fox censors won't allow it."
Oh boy! What they got up to way back then!!!
A Bob Clampett cartoon at his insane best-amazing how he went from this utter anarchy to the suger sweet Beanie and Cecil !
"well what do you know. I ran out of Pitties" LMFAO
this is still the golden standard of what a cartoon should be.
"Bebeeeeeet" lol i love this episode :)
The best!!!! Bebeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!
Comparing to the new cartoons, this is the real stuff!!! this brings the joy! not the wars and robots!!!
watched this as a kid back in the 80's and i didnt know what the hell they were talking about except BABBBITTTTT
Yes!! That's when I saw it too on that video which I bought for my kids from QVC. It was practically the best video purchase I made!
The part at the end with the cats baring their fangs before Tweety shouts "TURN OUT THOSE LIGHTS!!!" was pretty freaky. In fact, now that I think of it, those cats should be in their own horror movie.
I remember watching this as a kid on my vhs copy of "100 of the Greatest Cartoons" back in the 90s.
Oh great times!
Gimme the bird! What bird? My bird or this Bird?
I used to have this recorded back when it came on cartoon networl at one point made me laugh like whoa lol and still does.
Amazing how this was made when my grandparents were teenagers.
one of my all time favs
"I don't want hoit the boid, I like Boids"
lol always loved this cartoon, I have it on tape.
gets me every time!! ABBOTTTTTTTT! AHAHAHAH i love these old cartoons, the do not know how to make them anymore!
Hah, I love how slow he says "I tot I taw a puddy tat"
This brings back memories sooo much!:D
My favorites:
The introduction one right before the WB intro, THAT I've not seen ever since these cartoons stoped being showen.
"Hey, cut it out. Cut it out. Don't do that!"
"This witty pitty went to market."
"BABBITTTT!!"
"This witty pitty stayed home."
"BABBITTTT!!"
"This witty pitty had roast beef"
"BABBITTTT!!"
"Well what do know. I ran out of pittys!"
FUNNY!!
Omg I always laughed when the fat kitty kept calling him Bebe.. Even as an adult I'm still laughing. lol
Oh-ho GOD! i haven't seen this in years... i ended up forgetting all about "BABBIIIIIIIT!!!"
Until now.... Less then 5 seconds in the cartoon starting, i was driven to tears laughing!
lol seen this when i was a kid and still find this fucking hilarious XD!!!!!!!!
HEY BEEEBEEEET!!!!!!!!!! XD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love Mel Blanc. He's what made these funny for me.
I haven't seen this in so long! I had to search "I'm a spit fighter!" hahaha I love this stuff.
I had the Tweety green-boxed VHS with these shows on it. I'm very sad that it ribbled out in the VCR. :(
holy shit i remember eating gummi bears and watching this and a bunch of other cartoons on vhs back in the day, man this is nostalgic brrr :S lol
Love it Abbott and Costello
Tweety had an edge....instead of the milktoast version later on.....my daughter when she was barely two would laugh her head off on this one
hah omg. I was thingking today about that 'heey abbot!' phrase, good thing on yt there's almost everything, even those old coolest classic cartoons
At some point I was going to send Babbit for that bird himself. Looool Baaaaaabbiiiiiit!!
i feel old for remembr this....
TURN OUT THOSE LIGHTS!!!! Classic. lol. :)
In the last two Babbitt and Castello Cartoons, it ended with Castello saying "Oh, I'm a bad boy". You know the closing jingle that was being played in the end as the lights were going out? Well, in my vivid imagination, after Tweety yelled or you're gonna get spanked, the closing jingle ended with words saying "Oh I'm a bad boy. Joy". Probably because that I wanted to make believe that all three of The B&C Cartoons ended with Castello saying "Oh, I'm a bad boy". Funny creativity in my mind, isn't it?
Thanks Man.
Love the ending!!!
1:57-2:06
This is why I love old cartoons. They contain plenty of wacky humor for kids to laugh at, but they also contain some subtle jokes for the adults watching so they get a good laugh too. Oh man, last group of cartoons like this were Steven Spielberg's cartoons back in the 90s (when I say "like this," I mean Loony Tunes/Merrie Melodies styled cartoons; with Spielberg's cartoons the LT/MM influence was made VERY obvious though, especially in Tiny Toons were the old cartoons were teachers).
I love Abbot and Costello!!!
"I'm scared to go up high. . .I get height-dro-phobia. . ."
You know for YEARS I thought that was a real term?! LOL
I have this show
i havent seen this since like 1990
i wish i could find more about sylvester and tweety here
(4:35) Catstello: Hey, cut it out! Cut it out, pigeon! Don't do that!
Tweety: This widdle piddy went to market...
Catstello: BABBIT!
Tweety: This widdle piddy tayed home...
Catstello: BABBIT!
Tweety: This widdle piddy had woast beef...
Catstello: BABBIT!
*falls*
Tweety: Well, whatdya know, I wan out of piddies.
Oh wow I finally get what he REALLY meant about giving Babbitt the bird XD
1:59 If the Hayes office would only let me, I'd give him the bird all right LOL
Oh man this brings back memories. I'm now 19. When I first saw this cartoon i was 4 and its still hilarious. This was when cartoons were good.
This is the very first cartoon to feature tweety bird. Also, the cat's are making fun of Abbott and Costello which is funny.
His original name was Orson!
3:40 "awwww the poor puuty tat.....he ca-wushed his witty head!" (smiles) LMAO! he's such an ass about it! lol
I remember first seeing this when I was seven and I would drive my mom nuts by doing Tweety's smile.
I LOVE THIS CARTOON!
Give me the Bird Give me the Bird!
If the Hays office would only let me, i'd give him the bird
4:25 Tweety's troll face. lol
TURN OFF THOSE LIGHTS.
It's hard to beleive that Tweety started out as such a diabolical fiend. I mean he was seriously evil.
reminds me of American Me. The shanking scene with lil Puppet.
It's nice to see a not so innocent Tweety Bird. I like him as a psycopath.
Oooooh da poor putty tat. He cwushed his wittle head.
*smile*
Turn out those lights!
cool! thanks for recommending.
"What's the matter now?"
"I'm afraid of the dark." lol
This was and still is my favorite Tweety cartoon of all time.
"Height-ophobia"...LOL LOL...CLASSIC!!!
Wow...I remember watching this as a little kid! I used to have a VHS with a few carttons like this. I'd forgotten about this. :)

Why don't they show these on tv anymore? They were aired all through thee 80's and 90's and then after 2000 looney tunes just vanished!
@TheRocketVoltage I think I remember that one :o I had to look it up because it's been so long. I was at least 5 years old when I saw it :3
@xbluedevil73 YES! It was Little Audrey. The one where she was baking and fell asleep and went to a land of all these yummy sweet treats.
abbott and costello cats...CLASSIC
Fun fact: this was Tweety Birds first cartoon appearance.
LOVE IT
Todays cartoons have nothing on the classics.

Oh if only the Hayes Office would let me, I'd give him the bird!
