I just took one of those big triggers the other day up at Isla San Jose. I wasn't paying attention when swimming it back to the boat and It bit me so bad on the stomach that completely broke the skin and left a huge bruise. Felt lucky it didn't bite me somewhere else...Those things don't mess around!! Really enjoying learning the waters here around La Paz. Thanks for your videos Rene.

I built that 150 cm speargun about 15 years ago. I used aged iroko, laminated it with plasto epoxy. The handle is laminated in 3 parts into the stock. The mecanism is a laser cut version of my best design. I have used it in over 100 guns. It has an open top. This reduces the noise, a lot. The bands are 16 mm primeline at about 340% and the shaft is a 170 or 180 cm 7.5 mm spearmaster. The reel is also a spearmaster.

Not my zone at all, it's shallow inside, i guess you need a panga to go out

@@potvinr barely saw this reply... found a 35 foot area that had 10 lbs cuberas... plenty big for 30+ tacos, it was epic

I'm sure you know this but, for your viewers that don't, it is important to remember to keep your hands away from the mouth of a triggerfish!! I have a nice little scar on my finger to show what happens when a dummy gets too close!
