I’m a new dad, I moved closer to Santa Clara a few years ago and I’m thinking of purchasing a single family home there, but with real estate prices currently through the roof, is it still a good idea to buy a home or should I invest in stocks for now and just wait for a housing market correction? I heard Nvidia and AMD are strong buys.
Certain Ai companies are rumoured to be overvalued and might cause a market correction, I’d suggest you go with a managed portfolio, but even those don’t perform so well, so it’s best you reach out to a proper fiduciary to guide you, that’s what works for my spouse and I making a whooping $738k in Q4 last year.

Thank you for the great video! You brought back memories of going to the apricot fields with my mom when she would cut and pack them up and i would eat as many as i could!
DON'T. If you are in tech then I understand that it might make sense. Otherwise it is just way too expensive for normal folks. If you don't have a job offer in your hand for $150K then while it has almost perfect weather the rents being over $2500 a month will hamper having a decent lifestyle. Diverse housing options is a nice way of saying you are renting an apartment. Look at $2 million for a single family home.
@@santaclaraliving Not much. Your prices are accurate enough but at least for the single family homes seem to be a little bit low. Santa Clara is rapidly becoming a town that unless you inherit a house then you won't be buying a house. A few people have $5 million in the bank but the vast majority don't.
@@hoapres when we film this it was fairly accurate. It took a while to edit it put it in production. At that point the market had quickly appreciated. But in the last two months all that appreciation wiped out. You're going to start to see the recent cops and sales much lower. I estimate we're back to where values may have been in summer of 2021.
@@thebrasilgroup Time will tell. The original comment was mostly meant for people coming from other parts of the country. I really don't see single family houses dropping in price because for all practical purposes no one is building anymore and those who own single family homes probably don't need to sell. I tell my midwestern friends when a company tries to relocate to the Bay Area to basically give up on the idea. If you have a wife at home and 2 kids in a 4 BR/3Ba home in Ohio then you aren't going to make it in the Bay Area. The companies are stingy about relocation assistance with more than one saying we can give you an extra $20K a year. In that situation, I tell people just to take the severance package and look for another job.
Santa Clara city is 18 square miles, not 1300. That’s the entire county. And it’s not the center or heart of Silicon Valley. Those monikers are taken by other cities.
San Jose is my home town born and raised there, of which Santa Clara is right next door and I will know of the ins and out of SC the problem for me with SC they will have no down town, Willow Glen in SJ will have more of a community vibe with just a stretch of 3 or 4 blocks. So for those who are wanting to move to SILICON Valley and want to have some type of a townie type of a vibe, Mountain view, Campbell, Sunnyvale of which will only be with a one block stretch of so called down town, and if you can afford it then Palo Alto or Los Gatos and of course Willow Glen of San Jose. Just my 2 cents. BC Cecile's other half.
so true. Santa Clara lost its downtown in the '60s due to urban renewal. It was the biggest mistake the city has ever made. to this day people are so upset about what happened to their downtown. there is a movement happening right now to restore downtown. I made a video about it. ruclips.net/video/fkXsAQ0tL5Y/видео.html
Don't do it! Santa Clara is overpriced and completely empty. Comuting will be your life. All you have is Safeway and like a few restaurants. Oh & a small walmart...
😑 ... it's also a very UN-diverse town where Teslas and false status rule. Paired with underlying bigotry and ignorance, you almost think you're in Ridgecrest (CA) or West Virginia... 😳
I worked in santa clara ca so many year. hell no the worst traffic and over priced.iam so glad i left california no stress no anxiety living happy.

it’s a personal decision, but according to Forbes, housing activities will remain stagnant for the most part of the year, so maybe hold off a little.
well you could put a downpayment on a home and as well diversify as much as you can into Ai and pharm. stocks like Pfizer and JnJ.

this is all new to me, where do I find a fiduciary, can you recommend any?

Nothing beats SC utilities. Thanks John for posting.

It is expensive. The market has corrected some from the recent highs but still difficult for many people including tech workers.

Thanks Kurt, not sure how I missed that.
What's the center of Santa Clara county? Santa Clara seems to be right in the middle.
This was so helpful and informative! Thank you!
He sells real estate. He needs people to move there to survive

The best thing about Santa Clara is having a small commute. Santa Clara is so central. Has plenty of shopping options too.
