@MrDeppness Cool. I can relate to what your saying. Please understand that I'm coming from a skepical viewpoint considering that this video is by Randall Niles who runs the "All About God" misistries
This ministry subscribes to biblical literalism & inerrancy & is a proponent of Young Earth Creationism believing that the earth is approx 6,000 old.
So although he presents himself as simply wanting to seek "truth", he in fact has a very real & hidden agenda
    Thanks for the response. cheers

My support for the conclusion that all truth is subjectively based as follows:
Consider that any truth that you accept as objective in nature is accepted by you through your very own subjective decision-making process
You just can’t get away from the fact that the concepts that you accept or reject and make or not make part of your world view are done so through your own subjective decision-making process
And guess what? That’s OK. It's the reality that we live in
    Your thoughts?

@MrDeppness So how do you ascertain what is subjective truth vs. objective truth?

I don't agree with you that the story is being used to suggest that all religions or perspectives are true, but that all perspectives are limited, and when we work together and listen to one another's perspectives, we get closer to the fullness of the truth. We all have blind spots. And our blind spots are not the same as someone else's so we need each other.

@MrDeppness So you seem to be saying that we can never hope to understand "everything" & are hopelessly stuck with our own narrow perspective on reality.
    My response: So what?
As a result of this supposedly unfortunate circumstance that I find myself in, should I engage in wishful thinking on a massive level & just ask someone else to "tell me what it all means"?
Is it better to believe anything versus accepting that I will never fully understand what reality is or what it all "means"?

    Relativism continued:
In spite of what Dr. Craig and others like him say, having one's morals based upon subjective judgement does NOT leave one "lost in a sea of relativism".
This is simply not the case, and once again a straw man argument.
All of the beliefs we hold are subjective in nature. That fact that we'd like them to not all be this way doesn't in any way change this reality. Isn't time we all accept this reality & get on with life?
    Your thoughts?

@ 2:33 I was really expecting the next word to be, all belief systems are "false" not true. From my viewpoint they are all wrong in their beliefs because they are not able to grasp the whole of the subject. None of what they were saying was true. Until further investigation takes place to accept a positive claim without a complete understanding is a belief, It is not necessarily, truth. To call it truth takes faith. Faith is accepting as truth that which we don't understand.

So you seem to be saying that all truth is objective which is only one part of the elephant. How about the subjective truth?

You said, "Just because we have limited access to Truth, that doesn't mean any and all versions of Truth are equally valid"
I totally agree. So what proof do you have that your world view is the most "Truthful"?
And BTW, I hope you know that atheism does not equal holding that all beliefs are equally good or bad. That is a wholly inaccurate characterization & obvious straw man.

Also Randall, Come on....The elephant can be touched & smelled, and physically experienced. For you to try to say that because the elephant exists at the end of your video and try to apply that to your belief in a God, (even tho u did not come out and say it that is what u were getting at) this is ridiculous. Reality vs imaginary.

@MrDeppness Thanks for the response, but your explanation isn't convincing to me.
Simply defining subjectively-based truth as part of the whole while conversely defining objectively-based truth as the "whole" truth is meaningless or at the very least a completely unsupported assertion.
I have yet to hear a convincing argument that proves to me that there exists ANY truth that is not subjectively-based since all truth that any of us comprehend is done so through our individual perspectives.
