It took those 1000 rounds like a champ. You can definitely tell how much more comfortable you are shooting it. Plus the addition of that grip tape. Looks like it's allowing you to get the grip on the gun you prefer cause you had it shooting nice and flat.

Thank you for taking the time to do these videos with the Mod 3. I hope to get one very soon. These guns are a steal even with only one mag. The Mod 2 was essentially the same except for the slide serrations being a bit different, and also utilizing the more traditional curved XD trigger. The one thing I don't know yet, is whether or not I'll like the new Mod 3 trigger better than the previous Mod 2/original XD curved trigger. I know you're not saying this, but to those who hate on the XD because it is from Croatia--I never really understood some of the disgust and hatred for Croatia when it comes to gun manufacturing. Why is Croatia supposed to be so bad at making guns, even handguns, yet Zastava over in Serbia is the "Bees Knees"? The two countries are not far from one another, and at one time both belonged to what was known as Yugoslavia. So Yugo and Serb stuff=good, but Croatian stuff=junk? WTF? It's weird. Very, very weird.
Thanks for taking the time to comment. The trigger isn't bad at all. The reset is a little long for my liking but I was able to adjust to it. People just like to hate on things that they do not justify as normal. CNC machines work just as well in Croatia as they do in any other country.
A proud owner of an original XD a decade old, a XDM Elite I picked up new for $338 and I will pick up this one before Christmas. Why ? They just run …Zero issues, ever ! People hate these pistols, they say don’t take my class with one, bla bla Bla they just hate them . I have learned to not listen, I like the grip angle , polished feed ramp and the mags . Did I say never had an issue ? I carry a Sig , Had many Glocks and have Rugers . Just my humble opinion and yes we all have one .

If they will run like that they should be dead reliable when you take care of them. For me each trip to the range is not complete until I clean and lube whatever I shot that day. As far as the next gun were you thinking the SD9VE or the SD 2.0?
Next gun - I'm probably just going to walk into the local gun store and pick up something in the $350 range for a comparison. It's really going to come down to what they have in stock.
As far as the rear slide rails being polymer ( not plastic) all the X D 9 s I've owned have the same set up ! This is a duty ready gun ! I think you aill find that this gun will run with the best of them out there !They have addressed the few gripes I had about the original X D ! I already have 2 of these and carry one ! Get you one while they are this low price !
Fun fact: polymers can be natural or synthetic. Synthetic polymers are known as plastics. Glock makes frames from a material called Nylon 2. Nylon is a plastic. Springfield says they make the grip from polymers - a synthetic polymer. More than likely Nylon 2. Therefore the rails are plastic.

It would be the final of legitimacy to run some defensive ammo through it.....124G Federal HST's is what I run in my carry pistols. It would more than likely run them with no problem. I have a few Springfield firearms, some made by HK in Croatia and some in Springfield's factory in Illinois.....never had a failure of any sort with any of them! As I mentioned before not in the market for a compact striker fired pistol but at the price point and features it sure is tempting! Thanks Nick!
Hey Brother, Thanks! I decided to buy a handgun for my son’s 15th Birthday. I’ve spent the last couple years training him on my Canik SFX and TP9. He’s a great shot (and very mature / safe). He loved my new MC9L but we had 2 fails to load, and a slide-lock with a loaded chamber on my TP9SC (Blazer 115/124). I’m reconsidering Canik in general. Interested in your recommendations. I may get an Echelon and Hellcat, and thought the XDS might be a good starter for him (love the grip safety). Great channel! Thanks!
If your in that price point that the gx4 carry for 280 beans if you didn't do so already, and the gforce arms RPX9. Not a lot on that and it's around 275 beans. And there's the rock island (derya) DY9 for around the same. You got a few to choose brother 👍🏽

Get the Derya DY9 Glock 19 clone imported by Rock Island. They’re supposed to be pretty good guns at a VERY BUDGET price. Derya also makes a Beretta 92 clone called the Melik that is very reasonably priced and is supposed to be a quality gun from the reviews I’ve saw.
@@averagemarksman I understand U said budget guns so that was one of the better ones I’ve heard others talk about a lot lately. PSA had the non optic ready model for $199.99 a few weeks ago.
If you haven’t already done so, you should try the Taurus GX4 carry. It’s amazing. This is coming from someone that usually opts for much more…. costly items. It comes in right around the same amount, if not cheaper.

I agree. A quick defensive ammo test is the smartest option in my opinion.
I like to see you check out the Stoeger STR 9-C and see if it can make it through a 1000 rounds. It's around the same price as the Springfield Mod3.

We are fortunate to have so many quality choices. Springfield makes a great product. The new XD Mod 3 is a great option at a great price as well.

I have a 9mm hellcat osp and putting close to 1000 round and never have problems is a nice pistol 9mm for concealed carry

Definitely defense ammo, the lighter rounds, lower powder might effect the mod3. The novex ammo I have had issues!
