I don't know what to do now doc. My parents don't want to take my dog to the vet because it's expensive and they did that for a very long time. My dog barely can't hear, and she's in an old age. Each month she had her mestruation. But now, She has it 24/7 non stop. She doesn't eat anymore and just stands outside looking and wondering around all weary. I'm scared we have to put him down. But can you tell me what disease she has? Please respond asap.
Actually, there is a safety mechanism in place for the mother who is carrying a litter and one or two of the fetuses dies. In very large litters, the mother's body will often resorb the fetus, but if it is too far along in development, the fetus becomes mummified and is delivered along with the rest of the litter at full term. Naturally, the mummified fetus is not viable, but it happens so that the rest of the litter can be born normally without any ill effects to the mother from carrying around a dead fetus. It happens in most animals, and can even happen in animals that only have two or three babies, like goats and sheep. Mummified foals have even been born along with a live twin. The red blood thing has me a bit worried, though. she might be aborting a child between 45-55 days usually so it could be that this is what is happenning. I don't want to get you scared but it might be happening or not there is not enough information and I don't blame you :/ there is a chance most of her criters will be fine if one does not make it
Cattlez Candie •Pikachu• Acually she never gotten pregnant...I'm scared it might be cancer tho. But what I heard is that the dog has to get surgery to get rid of something down there I don't remember what's it called. But It happens when you don't get pregnant.
